Splashes filled the humid air as Claudia waded through the plane and walked over to her brother. He had a few bruises on his shoulder and back but otherwise, he was fine, unlike the people behind him who now looked like clothes flooded with tomato paste and bone tissue which oddly enough didn't scare Claudia at all, unlike her brother who was shivering in his seat and bawling his eyes out. Claudia's stomach grumbled and she began looking for food. All she could find was a can of SPAM and some Twizzlers. She casually handed the Twizzlers to Alex, who didn't even notice on account of his crying. She looked through the curtains to the other passengers.
There were about 30 or so people in the back, all in varying degrees of pain. Blood seeped down chairs and into the water. People were smashed against their chairs by blocks of wood so intensely that they most definitely couldn't move off off them,, unless they wanted to stain the pretty flooring of the plane with their innards.. without letting their guts fall out. For some reason the mental image of that made Claudia's very eyes dilated intensely for the briefest of moments before she turned away from the doomed passengers back to her dad. He had a broken leg and she could almost see the bone sticking out like a white crystal among a bowl of red hair. He was grabbing onto a windowsill, that was bloodying his fingers, for support. Immediately, she ran over to her father and raised him into his seat. "Claudia...find your...mother." Her dad said, through sharp breaths of pain.
"No..not till I get you fixed up." She said. Claudia then walked over to the cockpit. She saw an air waitress huddled over, bleeding profusely, clawing at the keyhole to a door with a key, too scared to think logically. Claudia grabbed the key from the woman and opened the door. She saw a dozen or so medkits but before she could grab any, the woman swiped at her with a broken shard of glass from the windows. Claudia yelped and jumped back, staring at the woman with fear. "Please We have to get these kits back to the passengers!" Claudia cried, silently pinching her brother on into from behind to get his attention.
Maybe he could get help. The woman stopped for a brief moment, and then her eyes morphed into yellow slits and her teeth cracked into a tpinto s she held onto the door and used it to stand up, before grabbing one of the medkits. Alex paused and stood up ahead at his sister. The moment he saw the woman, his eyes widened and he fell out of his chair in shock, the resulting splash getting the lady's attention. It distracted her enough for Claudia to make her move. She front kicked the woman, and even though it was weaker from the water it was still strong enough to send the woman crashing into the control panel, head first. Claudia leaned in and swiped a medkit. The woman suddenly went back to her feet and began fiendishly swiping at Claudia.
The girl was able to parry a few of Strikes with the medkit but ultimately she was too slow and relieved a deep but thin slit i in her right leg. She screamed and fell. The woman was about to strike again before Alex jumped in between the two, taking the full brunt of the attack, and strangely enough, when the glass met his skin it didn't Peirce, it shattered, and its jagged edges rocketed into the woman's face. Even though the glass shattered the woman was still in motion, and her hand slammed into Alex's face with inhuman strength, sending him sprawling to the ground, and breaking off one of her fingers. Claudia crawled back to the passenger class, taking her brother with her. The passengers looked scared. Maybe they heard what happened in the first class. Claudia didn't care though. She didn't even notice her brother wasn't bleeding. All she cared about, was helping her father. She stumbled over to him, taking short pauses every few seconds to put peace on her bleeding leg. She opened the medkit and looked for something to stop her and her dad's bleeding.
The medkit was very odd to Claudia. It has 4 distinct sections: Survival, In Case of Crash, Bleeding, and the strangest of all I.C.O.M.A. which held a small subtitle that was worn out. Claudia quickly looked through the Bleeding section which held different bags with items and instructions to deal with certain bleeds. Claudia grabbed at the section detailing chest seals and ripped open the packet with her mouth, on account of using one of her hands to apply pressure to her leg. Inside was sterile gauze that already appeared moist, some pristine gloves, and of course the chest seal itself. Claudia was about to apply the gauze as the instructions started but the pain was too much and she collapsed onto another passenger. The passenger was a tall man bordering on 7 feet, in a blue trenchcoat with the anomaly of a mustache coated in frost and pale skin that reminded Claudia of a vampire.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The man grabbed at Claudia's leg and applied pressure while her brother picked up where she left off, applying the gauze to the wound seamlessly. Claudia's dad yelped but it didn't sound as pained as expected. His reaction was like he stepped on a nail rather than getting a chest wound so deep the bone was nearly visible. One of the passengers, A burly man in a Hawaiian shirt, got out of his chair and walked over to the first-class section. Alex didn't notice, too busy applying the seal, but Claudia did. "No..something's in there!" She yelled. This got her brother's attention and his face jerked over to the man. "Piss off kid, nearly everyone here is either in as much or in more pain then your dad." The man spat. "Why don't you want him to get the medkits?"
The man holding her asked, a flake of frost gliding off of his mustache, and melting in the water below. Claudia opened her mouth and was about to tell him, then stopped. If she told him the truth would he believe her? She could lie and say the other kits were damaged in the crash, but itd be quits the coincidence that one of the kits was not only usable but in perfect condition. She could say an alligator or something was in the cockpit but then she'd need to explain why no one heard it. Still, he probably wouldn't question it. She opened her mouth and was about to lie when a loud scream shredded through the air. Crap, she took too long! The man treating her, slowly put her on his seat as he stood up and, as if he were a rampaging flood, ran into the room, so quiet, that if she had not seen him enter the room, Claudia would have suspected he was still on her side of the plane. Then, the man from earlier was thrownmback into her side of the vehicle, his clothes ripped to rags and his left hand looked like it had been kicked by God.
What occured next ws a series of growls and punches from the other side of the plane, until finally the man who tended to Clauda, returned, lookimg the exact same as before, except he had a gash across his neck, that only oozed blood, instead of splashing it all over the wet floor, to create a pink color. His eyes where bloodshot and he immediately told everyone that there were no more medkits. Shocked at what she heard, Claudia staggered over to the other side of the plane only to see the remains of the cockpit were gone entirely and in their place she saw nothing else but a flowing river that gave way to a waterfall and a lovely patch of land that was surrounded by splintered trucks, meaning they were most likely where the flying trees came from. "But what possibly could have launched them at the commercial plane from such a distance" Claudia wondered aloud. A
if to answer, a thunderous boom erupted out of nowhere! Screams erupted from the plane as the first boom was followed by many. Suddenly, the sound of twigs snapping erupted from further up north, and grew closer and closer. The man with frost on his mustache walked over to Claudia, and grabbed something in his pocket. Now, there where 2 blurred figures apprearing from the distance, 1 holding some type of crossbow, and the other was jumping from tree to tree with inhuman agility. "Stay back!" The man with frost on his mustache shouted at Claudia, stunning her into doing what she was told almost immediately. He then ripped something from his pocket. Claudia gapsed when she saw what the item was: a gray wheelgun. 'How in the world did he sneak that past the TSA agents at the airport' Claudia thought.
Then, when the figures appeared in the sunlight, Claudia saw them fully. Swinging across the trees was a skinny Italian looking woman with no eyes and had orange hair. And a few feet below the woman on the ground, was an Asian young man with perfectly combed hair, a device that appeared to be a pipe bomb in one hand, and a pump action shotgun in another. The man with a frost on his mustache dropped his weapon and let it sink in the water. The Asian man took one look at the other man, and raised his hands to the sky. "Fuck yeah! The Grave Guardian's here!" He shouted into the air, "Oh my god as soon as I get back to down dad's gonna love to meet ya!" Claudia looked over at the 'Grave Guardian" with confusion. Then the pain caught up with her and she slumped to the floor. No one seemed to notice safe for her brother who sprinted up to her and tried to put pressure on her Injury. The water beneath her was a light pink color now, and her vision grew dimmer and dimmer by the moment. the last thing Claudia noticed before being rendered unconcious was her beetle necklace. It could have been a hallucination but she saw the beetle twitch.
