What is it called when power drifts away from the heroes in the stories. Some call it a tragedy while others may deem it righteous. While the hero himself may feel entirely free of the connections to a life that held him in such high regard, he may even find it relieving to finally no longer be looked to. He could be worried in these final moments about what is to come of those he loves. While some consider a hero to be anyone who dies for a just cause. Is this always true? Or could it just be that this is what you wanted to believe.

Are all heroes good at heart? From the perspective of those who he opposes this is not true, so maybe it’s all about perspective. A man dying for a cause he believes in is considered heroic in any sense. So, what makes your reasoning any better than the man who does not have his name celebrated across the streets of his hometown or nobility revering him. Those who died on the tip of a spear or the slash of a sword should all have a place in the hearts of those who like to believe in heroes. But you truly couldn’t believe it is quite that clear. Sometimes, it is those who command the least respect are the ones who get it, the coward who hid behind his falling brothers-in-arms just so he could return home. Would this man be considered a hero by those he abandoned; I would think not.

Maybe heroes are determined by the amount of blood they are able to spill. But this would seem redundant, wouldn’t it? So, take your pick in what you truly believe a hero to be; sometimes it is not quite as clear as you may think.
