Prologue

"It's over.." On top of a large clear lake sat a young boy in majestic clothing basked in a dazzling moon-light. Those once shining golden eyes of his now resembled a dull bronze looking up into the starry night sky above. His snow-white hair waving with the midnight wind seemed like a fragile cloud threatening to be blown away at the slightest breath. As if shouldering the entire world's burdens the boy sat in a depressed manner gazing far off into the sky mournfully.

"vv-vvvv" on his shoulder buzzed a small crimson light seemingly trying to cheer him up as it flew around him flapping it's thin transparent wings leaving a trail of glittering lights in it's wake.

"I'm okay, lev" as the boy spoke, small, nearly unnoticeable tears dripped onto his cheeks before being absorbed back into them almost magically. The surrounding trees bordering the lake lowered slightly in the forest beyond, as if sharing his grief.

"I'll have to bother you with executing plan b." the boy said playfully although the despair in his words was clear to anyone hearing them. As soon as he finished his words the small fairy-like being buzzed once again but more furiously as if desperate to try and change his mind.

"It's the only chance we have, you know that lev, or do you think I value myself above everything.. everyone... died for.." the boy paused for a second, clenching his fist in silent protest against reality. "AAH" the boy's voice boomed across the lake in a supernatural manner, blowing away the floating twigs and leaves around him. The tears now fell without pause, rushing down his face into the water below. "vvv.." the fairy buzzed lightly as if relenting and floated back onto his shoulders as that once bright crimson light faded out slowly turning to nothing and disappearing completely.

"Whether we win or lose now... it looks like it's not up to me anymore. Sorry lev..." The boy slowly caressed the lifeless body of the fairy on his shoulder as a thick red light emerged from it and slowly spread before covering him completely. The crimson light shined brighter and brighter until eventually overcoming even the moonlight above and dying the forest a blood red before disappearing as if never existing in the first place.
