Intro

Azai opened his eyes to see himself sitting on a solid chair, uncomfortable, it felt that it had bumps all over it, he couldn't see in the darkness that covered everything. Then a dim light shone very high that he barely noticed it, it seemed like candlelight. A voice from the light suddenly and loudly destroyed the perfect silence that filled the air.

"At last, you're here kid!!..."

Azai could recognize the voice, it was the voice he dreaded so much. He looked around and didn't recognize where he was, he couldn't remember how he got here, as a matter of fact, he couldn't remember a lot of things, yet that voice he could remember and the man it belonged to.

"Your memory must be blurred now. It's a side effect of dying, but first, let me get you up here."

A snap of fingers could be heard, then Azai's chair rose. The chair rose on endless piles of bones and skulls crackling through the darkness till he reached the light, there was a long wooden table decorated with red jewels at its sides, and at the end of it, the candle shining dimly just barely showing the silhouette of the man behind it. And now he could see why the chair wasn't comfortable, it was made out of bones.

"I gave you so much credit, that I thought you wouldn't need me to raise you to my table, I guess I was wrong again," the man said in disappointment

"So, am I dead?" Azai said hesitantly, gulping

"Well, I don't really care, but your memory loss indicates so." The man then continued

"So, you failed miserably, and you're here, ready to be my meal. At least I won't starve till the next one appears. But since I enjoyed the show, let's send you off with your entire memory" the man's pleased grin was apparent on his face

Azai was silent the entire time, filled with dread, not because he was going to be eaten by him, but because he felt the sorrow of his failure, the depression of something precious he lost, yet the most saddening thing was that he couldn't remember what it was. A tear fell on his cheek and as he was wiping it trying to know why he was tearing the man was surprised

"I didn't know that you still had tears left in you. Those bones and skulls beneath you wouldn't believe it, the man that butchered them with a cold heart can have emotions, but still, what could they know about you right? They do not know what you've been through nor that they were only a stepping stone for you to achieve a higher purpose, ironic isn't it? Your will was stronger than theirs that's what it all comes to in the end."

Azai looked down at the bones, he was thinking about what he has done, yet his empathy couldn't overcome a feeling of righteousness he had, that it was necessary for them to be his stepping stone. He then looked back up to the man and said nothing. The man was delighted by his cold reaction and laughed in joy

"That was exactly what I expect of you kid, even in this state you do not feel remorse, for your purpose was greater than their existence, but let's see if that face stays the same after you recall your memory."

The man's face turned serious as he approached his face slightly towards the light, revealing his entire face and partly his torso. He was a handsome middle-aged man, with long black hair and a light beard, he had the eyes of a demon with blood-red color, and he seemed to be wearing black and white Victorian clothes fit for nobility. He seemed like he just popped right from a painting, it was an odd sight compared to what Azai was wearing, a long leather jacket atop a white t-shirt, and black jeans. He raised his index finger and calmly said

"First you discovered the abyss of the world" he raised his middle finger "Then you stared at it till it stared back" he raised his ring finger "And now it has consumed you and here you are, kid. But let's elaborate more on your life, let's watch your whole life to this point. Oh, this will be exciting you are my favorite one after all..."
