Hell, that's the word that I -should anyone ask me to describe the sight that lay before my eyes- would use, absolute hell. Fire and brimstone raining down on all that I once held dear, but that was gone now, for he had arrived; monarch of the stars, emperor of time, oh "venerable" one. He who leads the Galactic Imperium: Adam Salzabar, accursed immortal from worlds away.
It was all a blur, we were promised prosperity and greatness by his side, but we foolishly turned away. Our nobles held too much pride, we were conquerors and now we were conquered, and so like the cowardly bunch that we had become I ran.
Sprinting as fast as my hoofed legs would let me, I could hear the foreign devil's tongue of our greatest enemy on my heels. Soon it came, the horrifying sound that marked the human's entrance, an explosive crack, and the dirt before me propelled forward.
I did not stop, for I knew that if I did; I would only end up as the perfect target for my pursuers. Like that, the earth around me continued to explode as I made my way through the forest, using the trees as cover so that the flying ships wouldn't be able to sense and fire upon me.
My great escape ended when one of the Blasts, launched a rock full speed at my head, with that the world faded to black.

When I awoke all was still black, but a different kind of black, not of eternal darkness, but of a small cramped windowless room. A bitter, strange smell invaded my muzzle, it wasn't strong, in fact without my powerful sense of smell I probably wouldn't have picked up on it at all. It was made obvious, by the metal bindings that were placed on me, that I was in some kind of cage. At the very least I hadn't been killed.
Now that was something, originally most of my kin surrendered as soon as the invasion began, I was one of the unlucky few chosen to fight the invading humans. The memories of my kin throwing themselves at the enemy only to be slaughtered still haunted me, at the very least I survived what was originally thought to be certain death, I guess I was not as unlucky as I thought I was.

My line of thought was broken as my sensitive ears picked up on the approaching footsteps, it was time to witness my fate. The metal door slid open, and an imposing figure walked in followed by two men who I presumed to be guards, "Et hoc est unum de clarus "beastmen", quam tristis."
I sat still as I watched one of the guards fetch a strange metal object from behind, he walked forward placing the tiny object on my head before it stabbed through my skull, blood running down my face as the device buzzed to life, quickly answering my question as to why the men had done what they did.
"Can you understand me now, you animal?" The words foreign, yet oddly understandable, registered as I nodded my head. The man gave me a vicious grin as the guards took me away, I was lined up with what seemed to be hundreds of my brethren. Soon we were filed into a large hall where I finally figured out my location by staring out the large windows that substituted the walls, my jaw almost hit the floor as I realized that I was among the stars.
Then the sadist from before stepped onto a raised platform with a black stick that seemed to amplify his voice as he spoke into it.
"This would all be much easier if you barbarians learned our superior language, but somethings can't be helped. Anyways, you'll be happy to know that we will not execute you for the horrid crime of standing against our mighty empire, instead you'll be educated on where your loyalty should be placed and shipped off to the stars."
I could hardly believe what the haughty fool had just said, they were planning to strip me of what I believed, impose their own morals and way of life upon me, and send me off to fight their wars for them! How utterly ridiculous, if these bastards think that I'm going to betray my people and way of life then they got another thing coming.
In that moment I swore with every fiber of my being that I would never break, one day I would be do everything in my power to restore my homeland and erase these accursed humans from the annals of history, and I was not alone in this sentiment for the eyes of my kin were quickly filled with defiant wrath.
My sight quickly wandered towards the platform where the sadistic human had flashed his pearly whites from ear to ear, the telling smile sent shills down my spine, he would do anything in his power to break us, and he would enjoy every moment of it too.
After the "orientation" was over we were taken back to our rooms, where I had to sit and listen to the wailing of my brothers and sisters.

As the days rolled by the screams got closer accompanied by the buzzing sound of the human's strange technology.

Finally, my time had come, the metal door slid open, and in came the bastard and his entourage, cocky smile in tow, is henchmen carried cases that they proceeded to open up and place on some kind of mobile stand. An assortment of foreign tools and objects that were obviously used to torture my kind, were placed on display for all to see. Fetching a chair, the man had his minions tie me down as he began to select the toy he was going to use to shatter my mind.
When he was done picking his weapon of choice, he set his eyes on me "let me tell you a story..."
