" So one week till the next wave of monsters arrive. During that time i should propably practice for four days inner strenght cultivation and for two days the martial arts i created in my past life. "

He practiced inner strenght for four days and thus he was able to advance a layer. Now he was on the tenth stage and sixth layer of inner strenght. He may only had advanced a layer but his strenght was significantly improved.

After that he practiced the martial arts he had created. The first day he practiced light steps a (footwork technique similar to lightning steps ) which made the user's steps lighter than a feather allowing him to increase his speed and agility tremendously. It had similar effects with lightning steps but it was the exact opposite. While lightning steps used weight to increase speed with explosiveness, light steps used weightless to increase speed and agility.

The second day he had practiced the unmoving style. A form from his martial arts which allowed the practicioner to defend himself without moving just as the name implies. It wasn't much but it was very practical and effective, especially if he ever was in limited spaces and his life was in danger like back at the alley when zombies had surrounded him. Now Chen Xuan was perfectly fine to face against the monsters that would appear in the second wave.

With only one day to leave the city at their disposal Chen Xuan got all the neccesities that he and Wan Fe needed and left the villa.

" Wait! Why leave so sudden we were just fine right now. What have gotten onto you so suddenly. You locked yourself for four days in a room without eating anything then you started practicing some weird moves like you were dancing and now you want to leave all of a sudden? At least give me a reason. " Wan Fe said with a worrying look on her face.

" Sigh. Tommorow the next wave of monsters will appear and together with the zombies they will destroy the whole city. "

" So where are we heading now? and moreover how on earth do you know all that? " Wan Fe asked since she couldn't help but feel wonder and confuse on how Chen Xuan had so much knowledge.

" We are heading east on a martial arts village where people like me live. And to why i know all of this you shouldn't be concerned. After all you are just a toy. " Chen Xuan replied.

While at the same time Wan Fe's mood sadden cause the repied she received.

After all she had spent so much time with Chen Xuan and after all the nights they spent together they realy came closer. But Chen Xuan's oppinion of her being just his toy didn't changed.

" If i remember correctly that martial arts village came together right after the apocalypse and they only accepted people with extraordinary skills to join them. By only having warriors on their side and no ordinary people it was much easier for them to fight against the monsters without worrying about protecting ordinary people or for each other since all the people there were highly skilled experts. It would be the best place for us to go right now. "

" Well the only thing that bothers me is that we have to spent a night on the open. By the time the sun sets we would already have travelled half the way to our destination so i guess there really isn't any other choice? Well i just have to suck it up and accept it. " Chen Xuan thought inwardly.

Wan Fe carring all the importants and Chen Xuan eliminating all the dangers around them they managed to get out of the city and entered the forest half way through before the sun set.

Having no choice but to set camp they looked for the perfect spot. After finding it they sent up a tent and both went to sleep. The spot they sent their tent was between two huge rocks that were covering their sides from danger just like a naturall fort.

Chen Xuan might fallen asleep but he let his senses open, so in case of any potentional danger he would immediately wake up.

When the moon reached the center of the sky it ment that it already was midnight and the beggining of a new day.

At that moment a big earthquake broke out calling forth the second wave of monsters.

Chen Xuan woke up. Wan Fe woke up too and seeing Chen Xuan with a worried expression on his face she couldn't help but feeling scared.

Chen Xuan right after the earthquake he sensed different kind of presences and knew what was coming.

Wan Fe walking towards Chen Xuan scared. Chen Xuan suddenly yelled " Don't move! Stay Back! "

The presences Chen Xuan felt were the monsters that came with the second earthquake and they were coming closer and closer.

Chen Xuan knew that kind of monsters and with his current skills he was barely enough to take them on.

Those monsters were small in size around fifty centimeters and their ears were sharp and pointed like that of elves in tales, their skin colour was green. their eyes red and their teeth sharp like a shark's. Those monsters were called toxics because their teeth was filled with venom moreover their agility was high and the worst is that they were always moved on groups with flawless teamwork.

As the toxics were getting closer and closer Chen Xuan couldn't help but shake in fear. He could easily take down ten to twenty of them but their number was around fifty to sixty which put him at a great disadvantage on top of that he also had to look out for Wan Fe.

The toxics were hiding behind the trees waiting for the right moment to attack.

When one of them suddenly came out and jumped towards Chen Xuan with it's mouth open like it was ready to devoure a big candy, it was instantly slashed in two with Chen Xuan's chop strike. Green blood had painted now Chen Xuan's hands.

Chen Xuan after seeing so many of them he couldn't help but scream " Come at me you fucking bastards. I will saw you what happens when your target is god! "

At that moment all the toxics jumped one after another to attack Chen Xuan. Some of them died instantly painting Chen Xuan green with their blood, but on the other hand some of them managed to bite Chen Xuan poisoning him and tearing his flesh apart at same time.

Back and forth they were moving with Chen Xuan using light steps and linghning steps in order to catch up with their agility and kill them but it was to no avail the poison had already affect him and started to slow him down while he was screaming from the pain.

The battle continued like this with Chen Xuan having eliminated most of them with only twenty of them having remained.

It may seemed like the battle was getting to an end but only with Chen Xuan on the losing side.

Chen Xuan had several bites all over him with most of his skin missing and only his blood and flesh could be mostly seen. His whole body was seriously injured and the poison had gone deep into his body, making him barely able to stand.

Wan Fe looking at this scene she couldn't help but shake and cry as she watched Chen Xuan slowly getting eaten bite after bite.

" Shit am i gonna die right after i was given a second chance? "

" like hell it would happen " Chen Xuan screamed out of his lungs putting all his remaining strenght into his legs and using light steps to catch up to them and slay them one after another.

Instead of getting slower with the pain and the poison that he had to tolerate, he actually started to move faster and faster barely enough for the human eye to catch up with.

After his speed increased he could only hold on for one minuite before collapsing.

During that minuite he was able to slay with his hands all the remaining toxics.

After that he fell down and started meditating in order to recover from the poison in his body.

Wan Fe didn't say anything and immediately started to clean him up from the green blood that had painted his skin, as well as the red blood which was his own.

At the same time she treated his injuries, with tears coming down like a river from her eyes.

After that fight not only Chen Xuan managed to get resistance to that kind of poison but he also managed to break through to the next layer of inner strenght cultivation increasing his physical abilities twice and also healing all his injuries automaticaly.

By the morning he was as good as new.

When he finaly recovered he apologized to Wan Fe for making her worry that bad.

After that incident Chen Xuan having saw how much Wan Fe cared fot him sice he stayed all the night by his side while crying and taaking care of his injuries till he recovers he finally stopped treating her like a toy and started treating her more like a lover.
