“The chronicles of NUMEROS”

Chapter 1 (The Awakening)

The tale starts in the far east, in a village called 'Felis Siodad,' situated on the Native Nation Continent. In a forest heart, embraced by azure waters and lush greenery, there stood a majestic volcano named Mount Hyame. Peacefully slumbering for three millennia, its towering peak reached towards the heavens. The villagers, dwelling in the volcano's shadow, regarded it as a kind protector, granting fertile soil and soothing geothermal springs.

However, one fateful day, the tranquility was shattered. The skies above the village darkened as ominous clouds gathered, and the people of the village, without hesitation, rashly evacuated to a nearby mountain.

After weeks have passed, some village officers surveyed the whole area and were shockingly surprised by what they saw. The massive volcano mountain had almost vanished from sight. To their astonishment, where the mighty volcano once stood, there was now nothing but an empty void. The landscape had been transformed into a surreal tableau. It was as if the very essence of the volcano had been consumed by an otherworldly force.

“Unbelievable! Is the massive black sphere thing we saw far away connected to what happened here?” said the villager. They immediately reported the news to the village leader; everyone could not believe what had happened.

At the edges of the void, there seemed to be a shimmer of dark energy, casting an unsettling glow over the surroundings. The villagers, still recovering from the recent catastrophe, exchanged hushed whispers, unsure of how to comprehend the inexplicable disappearance of the once-mighty mountain, leaving their thoughts unanswered.

In the weeks that followed the mysterious disappearance of Mount Hyame, the villagers cautiously resumed their lives. One villager's curiosity led him to explore the surreal landscape left by the erased volcano mountain. There, he discovered a man lying unconscious; the stranger's clothes suggested he was wearing very old and ragged garments.

The villager then carried the unconscious person to the village chief, 'Usto Joe,' who treated this suspicious, mysterious man in the chief’s house. A week later, the stranger finally opened his eyes. Many questions were asked, but all he could answer was, “I'm sorry, I don't know. I don't remember anything.”

As the village leader tried to unravel the mystery surrounding the stranger, they noticed a peculiar detail—a tattoo on his back, just below the neck, marked with '666'. Whispers of concern and uncertainty spread among the villagers, and 'Usto Joe' pondered the significance of this ominous symbol.

The village leader temporarily took him in while he had not yet recovered his memories. More weeks had passed, and 'Elina', the daughter of Usto, grew close to this stranger. Not only was he modest, but he was also kind, hardworking, and obedient, following all orders given to him without any questions. The villagers felt relieved about him, especially Elina. Elina named him ‘Niel’, and soon, the villagers also started calling him that.

One day, panic gripped in the coast of the village as a warning spread like wildfire: Two ships of the Bolgiam soldiers were on the horizon. The villagers, caught off guard, rushed to gather their weapons.

The Bolgiam soldiers, known for their conquests and formidable military prowess, arrived at the deserted village where they always came to rob the poor people. However, this time was different. Upon arriving, the villagers were ready to fight back. Faced with the imminent threat of the Bolgiam soldiers, the villagers refused to be passive victims.

They fought and tried to defend their hometown from the abusive soldiers, but the resistance didn’t last long. These soldiers were indeed not just ordinary soldiers; they managed to pin down the fighters of the village and demanded a huge amount of ransom money in exchange for their lives.

Seven years ago, a similar incident occurred when the soldiers of Bolgiam dared to visit Felis. They attempted to extort money, but the people of Felis refused to comply. The soldiers planned to attack Usto with their swords. In an act of bravery, Usto's wife, Alina—Elina’s mother—intervened and shielded him. Unfortunately, Alina lost her life while defending her beloved husband. The villagers were infuriated, condemning the abusive soldiers of Bolgiam while mourning the loss of Alina.

During those times, soldiers from the Natore Kingdom arrived, but it was too late. A significant character had already perished. The Natore Kingdom was the strongest and wealthiest country in the continent of the Native Nation. Realizing that the Natore Kingdom was on its way, the Bolgiam soldiers kidnapped someone, and Leriz's sister was taken away as they made their escape.

The villagers still refused to give in to their demands. So, the captain of the fleet, ‘Captain Kelilery’, grew angry at their stubbornness and tried to stab one of the villagers. However, a hero arrived just in time.

Niel, the mysterious guy, appeared seemingly out of thin air. With swift and unexpected movements, he leaped into the fray, saving a villager from the grasp of an abusive soldier.

“What just happened?” Kelilery questioned himself. The villager had disappeared from his grip in a sudden move. In a bold move, Kelilery, feeling embarrassed, narrowed his eyes with a mix of annoyance and anger as he confronted Niel, but Niel remained mute, causing Kelilery to grow angrier.

They fought for real as the captain of the soldiers became furious and aggressive. The clash between Captain Kelilery and Niel escalated into a fierce and intense battle, but Niel was no normal dude. Niel, however, revealed depths of flexibility and agility that defied the expectations of the Bolgiam soldiers.

As Niel and Kelilery engaged in their intense battle on the coast, in the deep forest, a mysterious presence lingered in the shadows, watching the clash with an aura that seemed otherworldly.

The figure, concealed in darkness and wielding a sinister scythe, observed the unfolding conflict between the two warriors. Shrouded in a cloak of darkness, the mysterious shadow emitted an ominous energy, distinctly different from the surrounding environment. With features obscured by the darkness, its eyes, barely visible under the hood, focused on Niel. The fact that Niel emitting dark energy during the fight intrigued the shadow, sparking its curiosity.

This shadowy figure emerged from the darkness, the scythe wielder held with a purpose that transcended the mortal realm as he observed, driven by the need to confirm the truth behind Niel's nature and enigmatic powers.

He planned to abduct Niel after the fight to confirm the truth about him having dark energy. As the shadow figure closed in, a revelation surpassed all expectations. In the midst of the struggle, the shadowy figure was momentarily stunned by the fact that Niel’s nature was unnatural in both realms of heaven and hell. Niel's body emitted dark energy, but at the same time, he possessed a godly divine energy.

This was undoubtedly extremely impossible, having two such qualities. The realization that Niel was not an ordinary being, but a convergence of celestial and supernatural forces left the shadowy figure in a state of awe and uncertainty.

After a moment of contemplation, the shadowy figure decided to leave Niel alone. It became evident that the enigmatic wanderer was not a mere mortal to be captured and probed.

The battle ended in favor of Niel. With Captain Kelilery defeated and Niel's intervention, a wave of relief washed over the villagers. The Bolgiam soldiers, their aggression thwarted, fled the coastal area, leaving the once-embattled community in a moment of stunned silence. The people of Felis Siodad were so thankful that Niel was there with them.

Niel was adept at fighting, moving like a veteran fighter without realizing it. What truly unsettled Captain Kelilery was the unexplainable aura emanating from Niel, similar to a demon. On Niel’s part, he actually didn’t have knowledge about actual combat fighting, remaining oblivious to the source of Captain Kelilery's unease.

Without Niel's knowledge, his movements in combat were not the result of formal training or conscious strategy; instead, they flowed naturally, almost instinctively. He moved with an innate grace, effortlessly dodging attacks and responding with an intuitive sense of timing. The only thing Niel didn’t realize was that he emitted a dark aura while in combat.

The year concluded on a peaceful note, and the village celebrated the fiesta with joy. The sounds of celebration echoed through the hills and shores, signaling the end of a tumultuous chapter and the start of a new era for the Felis Siodad community. Throughout the past year, Niel, Elina, and Leriz had become integral members of the village.

As the peaceful days unfolded in the village, a quiet determination grew within Niel. The realization that he needed to leave and uncover the mysteries of his past became a decision that weighed heavily on his heart. Despite the friendships he had formed with Elina and Leriz, an undeniable inner calling urged him to embark on a journey of self-discovery.

When he decided to leave, Elina tried to stop him from leaving the village. However, her father, with wisdom earned through years of experience, convinced her that it wasn't their place to hold Niel’s back. He spoke to her about the importance of personal journeys, the quests that define individuals, and the necessity for Niel to find what he had lost.

“You can start in the rich country of Emerald City, find Elina’s family there, and ask them. Tell them my name, and they will surely welcome you,” guided by Usto's advice, Niel began a journey to the rich country of Emerald City. He packed up his belongings and set forth on the road that would lead him to Elina's family.

Meanwhile, sailing on the ship, there was a strange person keeping Niel uneasy. This person in a hoodie face covered always watched him. After getting off the ship, as Niel navigated the unfamiliar streets of the rich country of Emerald City, the strange hoodie person continued to follow him, and a sense of unease settled over him. He couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following him, so he sneaked out the back and removed their hood. It turned out to be Elina. 🤦‍♂️

Usto was crying out loud because his daughter was missing. Honas, who knew everything, teased Usto and told him that teens these days really know what they are up to. Elina convinced Niel to take her with him, and he had no choice but to agree. 🤦‍♂️

As Niel and Elina strolled through the vibrant streets of Emerald City, searching for Heries Family’s house, they were captivated by the breathtaking beauty that surrounded them. The city lived up to its name, adorned in a myriad of colors that sparkled and shimmered like precious gemstones. Everywhere they looked, colorful crystals embellished the architecture, lining the streets and casting a kaleidoscope of hues in every direction.

It was Elina's first time visiting her mom’s family side. They searched together for Heries family’s house, and upon reaching it, a sense of excitement enveloped Elina. The grandmother Merina embraced Elina warmly, their smiles reflecting the deep familial bond. As Elina introduced Niel, there was a moment of surprise on Merina and Selina's faces, followed by a shared glance that hinted at unspoken understanding.

Aunt Selina, ever the playful one, couldn't resist injecting a teasing note into the moment. "I didn't know Alina's kid would bring a man into our home," she quipped with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Elina, caught off guard by the playful comment, blushed deeply. The unexpected joke added a lighthearted touch to the reunion, breaking the ice and fostering an atmosphere of warmth and humor.

Elina, however, was more intrigued by the 'Lina' thing.

(Conflict Between two Countries)

As days passed in Emerald City, Elina couldn't ignore the frequent marches of soldiers through the streets. Concern etched her face as she observed the increasing military presence in the city. Seeking answers, she turned to her grandmother, Merina, who shared the grim news about the country's situation. Merina explained that Zageb, a neighboring country, had declared war against Emerald. Tensions were escalating, and the city was preparing for the impending conflict. The gravity of the situation sank in, and the once-vibrant streets now bore the weight of uncertainty.

Niel, sensing the urgency and the call to protect, made a similar decision. He, too, chose to enlist in the military and undergo the rigorous training required to become one of Emerald's brave soldiers. The camaraderie formed in Felis Siodad, the bonds forged in the rich country of Emerald City, now extended to a shared commitment to defend their home.

The war between Emerald and Zageb unfolded on the near island of Pier Surhares, a strategic location that became the battleground for the clash between the two countries. The island's shores, once tranquil, now bore witness to the echoes of conflict as soldiers prepared for the imminent confrontation.

As the war on Pier Surhares unfolded, the leadership of each opposing force played a crucial role in shaping the course of the conflict.

On the side of Zageb, General Dreyra emerged as the formidable leader, commanding the forces with strategic acumen and a relentless pursuit of victory. Facing the Zageb army was General Xegan, the leader of Emerald's forces, a veteran with a deep understanding of the terrain and the spirit of his people. He rallied the Emerald soldiers with a mix of tactical brilliance and inspirational leadership.

The tension on Pier Surhares reached its peak as the two armies, led by General Dreyra of Zageb and General Xegan of Emerald, prepared for the imminent clash. The commanders signaled the engagement with a resounding blast from massive horns, their echoing notes carrying across the island.

As the horn signals echoed, the armies surged forward, colliding in a tumultuous clash of metal and magic. Swords clashed, arrows flew, and the battlefield became a chaotic symphony of warfare Niel, now a seasoned soldier in the Emerald army, fought with unwavering courage amid the chaos. The clash on Pier Surhares Island became a relentless struggle, with the fate of the island and the outcome of the war hanging in the balance.

The clash continues, the overwhelming numbers of the Zageb forces began to take a toll on the Emerald army. Despite the valor and determination of General Xegan, Niel, and the Emerald soldiers, the sheer numerical advantage of the Zageb forces proved challenging to overcome.

The sound of clashing swords, the thundering hooves of cavalry, and the magical bursts of energy filled the air as the Emerald forces gradually found themselves being pushed back by the relentless onslaught of the Zageb army.

The once-steady rhythm of the battlefield now shifted, with the Zageb forces exploiting their numerical superiority.

Then suddenly mystical woman appears, descending from the sky with ethereal grace, sent shockwaves through the battlefield. The Zageb soldiers, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected intrusion, halted their advance, their attention now diverted to the mysterious figure who had materialized before them.

The woman, surrounded by an aura of mystic energy, landed on the battlefield with a grace that defied the laws of nature. Intrigued murmurs spread among the Zageb soldiers as they attempted to comprehend the nature of this unexpected visitor. The air was filled with a mixture of awe and confusion. “What the fuck was that!” said the zageb soldier.

As the mystical woman's surroundings began to transform into ice, a collective gasp swept through the battlefield. The realization dawned on both the Emerald and Zageb soldiers that they were in the presence of a being of formidable power. Whispers of awe and fear circulated among the Zageb ranks, and then a triumphant cry rose from the Emerald soldiers.

"It's the Ice Goddess! The Ice Goddess has come to aid us!" exclaimed an Emerald soldier, his excitement infectious. The news spread like wildfire among the Emerald forces, and a surge of hope and determination washed over them.

The ice woman's presence had an immediate impact on the morale of the Emerald army. The soldiers, invigorated by the belief that a divine force was on their side, rallied with newfound zeal. Their shouts resonated across the battlefield, akin to the roar of an angry lion, sending ripples of fear through the Zageb ranks.

As the tide of battles began to change due to the overpowering presence of the Ice Goddess, the Zageb army found themselves struggling. The high morale of the Emerald army pushed them back.

Fueled by anger and a determination to reclaim the honor of the Zageb army, General Dreyra stepped onto the battlefield. His eyes blazed with a fiery resolve as he confronted the Ice Goddess, who stood amidst the swirling frost, her presence a formidable force that had turned the tide of the battle.

"I won’t let you take my honor! you ice goddess, I will defeat you.” Said the zageb general.

The Zageb soldiers, witnessing their general's decision to personally engage the Ice Goddess, felt a renewed surge of hope. The rallying cry echoed through their ranks, reigniting a spark of defiance in the face of overwhelming odds.

But instead of the Ice Goddess, it was General Xegan who chose to face Dreyra. It became a battle between generals. "I'm your opponent, Dreyra. I will show you hell," Xegan spoke to Dreyra confidently.

And so, General Dreya and General Xegan battled. Both were strong and seasoned in warfare. Xegan proved himself to be more skilled and stronger than Dreya.

Consequently, Xegan requested that they withdraw from the conflict and return to their respective homelands. Dreya nodded in agreement, but as Xegan sheathed his sword, Dreya, without hesitation, attacked him. Xegan knelt in defeat, and the emerald soldiers, especially their commanders Ugorui, Ibaai, Gelex, and Salder, were furious at General Dreya's dishonorable actions.

The Ice Goddess no longer held back; she ended the life of the Zageb country's general. Thus, the war came to an end, bringing profound sorrow to the Emerald Army for losing such a kind general. Xegan was known for his kindness, strength, and helpfulness. People held great admiration for him, especially his adopted son, Salder. Salder grew up under Xegan's guidance, aspiring to become a general in the Emerald Country one day, just like his beloved mentor. With the war concluded, the Zageb army retreated. The whole emerald city mourned to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their nation.

(First Numeros and Farwell)

On the day of the inauguration, King Eustus Eisa appointed Ugorui as the new general and Niel as the new captain commander. The soldiers were amazed by the strength that Niel demonstrated in battle. "You're strong, kid, it's like you're even stronger than Captain Salder, hahaha," teased by the soldiers. Salder, irritated by the banter of the soldiers, was annoyed by their teasing.

At times, Niel found himself curious about this Ice Goddess, feeling a unique connection with the frosty woman. It seemed as if they shared some similarities. Niel inquired about the so-called Ice Goddess, asking who she really was and where she could be found. However, no one could provide him with a definitive answer regarding the identity or whereabouts of this Ice Goddess. Niel truly desired to speak with the Ice Goddess, hoping that she might know something about his true nature.

Upon returning home, Niel was greeted by Elina with a frown, leaving him puzzled about her unusual behavior. As Niel entered the house, he was astonished to find the one he had been seeking—the Ice Goddess, enjoying coffee with Grandma Merina and Aunt Selina.

Now it made sense why Elina was scowling—there was a visit from a seemingly angelic lady who had come to see Niel.

At first, they had their doubts, but eventually, they understood each other. The two of them talked for a long time, and the Ice Goddess explained numerous things to Niel—about herself and the reason why the Zageb country declared war. The Ice Goddess also showed a tattoo similar to Niel's, with the number ‘444’ beneath her navel. This caused Elina's veins on her forehead to multiply even more.

And this Ice Goddess goes by the name Ziah Iesa, the true daughter of the current king of Emerald City, Eustus Iesa. Since early childhood, Ziah has been concealed by her parents because the Western Empire relentlessly pursued anyone born with inborn tattoo numbers. It wasn't merely a matter of pursuit; it posed the risk of not only her demise but also potentially involving the entire city of Emerald Country. Therefore, Ziah's parents chose to keep her hidden for the greater good of all.

Ziah was delighted at their meeting and expressed gratitude for Niel's participation in the war to protect their country. A connection formed between them, forged in the crucible of war and shared purpose. Together, they envisioned a journey that extended beyond the boundaries of their current reality. On that decisive day, Niel made a resolute decision to embark on a new journey. Ziah, drawn by the same desire for justice and change, chose to join him. Their decision marked the beginning of a shared odyssey—a quest to find others like them.

Elina's heart sank as she sensed the familiar ache of sadness. Niel's decision to embark on another journey without her left her feeling a sense of abandonment, a repetition of the pain she had felt before. The man who had come into her life, the first to evoke feelings of love within her, was once again slipping away.

The subtle distance that Niel had created, perhaps unintentionally, made Elina feel like he was avoiding her. The unspoken words and the unexplained decisions left a void in their connection, leaving Elina to grapple with a mixture of confusion and heartache.

As Niel prepared for his journey, he harbored a heavy secret that weighed on his heart—the perilous nature of the path he intended to tread. The journey ahead was not a simple adventure but a quest for survival, a mission to find others who shared their mysterious origins.

The dangers that lay along this treacherous path were such that Niel, out of a deep sense of concern and protection, made the difficult decision not to bring Elina along. The challenges they would face, the adversaries they might encounter, and the unknown threats that lurked in the shadows rendered the journey too perilous for someone as dear to him as Elina.

When niel is preparing to leave, he turned to Elina, the weight of his decision etched on his face. In a moment of sincerity, he made a promise that carried both determination and reassurance.

"I will come back stronger, more reliable, and able to protect you in any danger," he vowed, his words a beacon of hope amid their parting.

Elina, though saddened by Niel's departure, felt a glimmer of relief as she held onto his promise. His commitment to return with newfound strength and reliability provided a ray of comfort in the uncertainty of their separation. The genuine sincerity in Niel's eyes and the conviction in his voice touched Elina's heart. In that fleeting moment, Elina's burden of sadness lightened, replaced by a flicker of hope.

As Niel walked away, the distance between them growing with each step, Elina couldn't contain the depth of her feelings. In a soft whisper unheard “Take care Niel, I Love You”. 😿💔
