I looked at the options for my world. Each stat went from 1-10 and each step cost 10 points.  My default inclination was that all the options looked good.  World size affected population potentials, race maximums, flora maximums, fauna maximums, and total resources on the planet.  Cultivation world affected how much Qi was in the world and thus whether cultivation would be effective.  Magical world affected how much ambient mana was in the world and thus whether magic would be effective.  Technological world affected whether the world had resources for advanced technology.  I found out from my assistant that magic and qi were forces that opposed technology and having too much technology would deplete them, eventually causing them to cease existing.  I suspected the previous god of Earth had made that mistake and that legends of magic from our past might have actually been true.  Fortunately, with a good guide I wasn’t about to repeat his errors.  I continued on to species longevity was a multiplier on lifespan for race, flora and fauna. Habitability affected frequency and kind of natural disasters as well as birth rates for races, flora and fauna.

I tried to compare the power levels of the relative abilities but all the options were locked.  My assistant only had information on unlocked items which was no help. I decided two was probably better than one, so I abandoned technology after confirming that 1 meant no advanced technology would occur.  I pondered my options and quizzed my assistant further. When I found out the difference in world size was an order of magnitude improvement I decided it had to be 10.  Maybe I’d never hit the limits, but an order of magnitude in total resources was too good to pass up. Habitability got a 9.  That was high enough to make natural disasters rare and to maintain a good birth rate, so I wasn’t too worried about that assignment.

Happy with my new world I hit confirm.

I next explored the possibilities for flora and fauna. The most important types of flora were those that animals and races fed on.

I eventually designed the following flora, with a 250-point cap.

Flora Designer Name Power Rice Type Grain Mana Absorption 1 Qi Absorption 10 Grain Size 10 Technological Byproducts1 Ease of Harvesting10 Point Cost 160 Confirm Back

This crop was ideal for my purposes because it was easy to harvest, very good at feeding people, and provided maximum boosts to Qi when eaten.  Unless there was a way to unlock values higher than 10 this was basically an ideal crop as I didn’t plan on making my first race use magic, at least not initially.

I then designed my first fauna.

Fauna Designer Name Rabbit Type Herbivore Mana Absorption 1 Qi Absorption 10 Technological Byproducts 1 Offense 1 Defense 1 Multiplicity 10 Point Cost 120 Confirm Back

Similarly, my rabbit was very good at absorbing mana and qi, and relied on a high reproduction rate and litter size (Multiplicity) to survive.  The low offense and defense meant that whatever race I made could hunt them. Apparently, the rewards for living creatures were larger than for crops, and scaled with offense and defense but I didn’t want to make anything that would kill my species. I could make stronger herbivores later.

I confirmed with this setup people of my races would have an easy time levelling their cultivation pool and mana to level 10, which would give me an easy way to get 2 points from most of my population. I figured once I started getting those points and once my races were stronger I could add carnivores and challenging species to the environment.

I started designing my first race.

Apparently, each stat point cost 5 points for races. A race could have up to 10 special abilities and the maximum total spend was 500 points. I only had 220 points to work with so I decided to ignore special abilities for now. I eventually settled on this setup.

I had long since confirmed with my assistant that I’d be able to enter the real world. I wasn’t creating a race with beauty less than ten, after all it would be quite some time till I had points to spend on a 2nd race and I wasn’t going without sex that long.  This race could cultivate, fight, live long and populate well.  They were exactly what was needed to fill my massive world.

At this point, we got to choose our bodies.  My assistant became an appearance 1 member of an appearance 10 race, which gave her an appearance of 5.5/10.  I had neglected to save any points on myself, so I started with 1.5 times the racial stats rounded up.  That might have been a mistake, after all it made me a tiny bit squishy. Nonetheless, I still had good stats and I was confident in building them over time as a god.
