How would you feel if you were 'Chosen' by Stecia, the Goddess of Time and Fate herself, to be the envoy of her Will, to be the Hero to save Humankind, but then all that awaited you was horror and suffering? That's what Aelius ended up experiencing- despair potent enough for ten lifetimes. Over and over again, his loved ones were taken from him while he desperately fought with his life on the line against inhuman invaders. By the time he gained the power to protect, there was nothing left to save anymore. The most precious people to him either died to his enemies, or were back-stabbed by his very own allies.  And then one day, by virtue of Stecia's power, Aelius woke up 7 years in the past, returning back to his 15 year old self with all his memories intact.
