Stage 16 - The Fi'gas Strikes

Gaojinizer - Stage 16

The Fi’gas Strikes!

The prevention of the new occupation zone from forming, was no doubt, a large victory for the UFE, while many in the Civilian world celebrated it, those who brought the victory were not able to rest, to celebrate, for long, especially with the Garslaan still making their move, perhaps a bit slower than they had beforehand, this was especially true for the Juzumaru. What damages they had managed to get were repaired, and they were tasked with something simple, flying over the water of the pacific, and patrolling for any presence that had managed to go undetected. As one would expect, the five pilots of the Machina were in the common room, munching upon their food as usual. A simple beef stew, but a good one nonetheless. As Andrew hoveled a spoonful into his mouth, he glanced at the one talking the loudest, Han.

“Man, Kanta is something else… Her cooking, and her beauty… There’s got to be some way to impress her.” Andrew simply shrugged his shoulders.

“You could just try asking her out, And hoping her brother isn’t the protective type… Though, I was the same way with my sisters.” The statement caught Takeshi’s attention,a s he looked up at him, mouth partly full as he spoke.

“You Havf Svhisters?’

“Yeah, two, and a brother… We got separated when Roosevelt was attacked. I’m hoping they’re alright.” So that was the case, outside of the first discussion they had when they met, nobody had truthfully gone in depth about their family, but, to Takeshi, this wasn’t a surprise. While the leisurely conversations between them continued, in the pace above them, certain things began to take place, a black ship, lined with ornate golden trim, as well as turreted guns, loomed in earth’s orbit, and within, was the Fi’gas of Sol Though, it did not share the nature of the usual Garsalan ship, more vertical, somewhat sharing its shape with a budding flower. The Orbital Decimators contained in its “petals”. His blood boiled, especially with the humiliation he’d gained as a result of these Tasselr. It mattered not. All he would need to do was strike them down, and with them, the human’s will to fight would most likely be eliminated as well…

The ship began to descend, a bubble of heat growing around it as re-entry began. Watching the location of this ship, something they should have done long ago, made his duties much easier to carry out. Those Jamming Particles the humans made use of were an annoyance, but apparently, the ship hadn’t been making use of them, not at this very moment. The ship continued to drop through layer upon layer of the earth’s atmosphere, what was initially the black void of space, gradually shifted into an azure sky. And it was at this moment, that the petals of the ship began to split open, releasing the Orbital Decimators, who began to streak light from their backs, as they barrelled through the air. 4 S’fans, though, varied from the average in their armors mostly painted red, with ivory stripes running across the middle of the torso, and the arms. Newer models of higher performance, though their pilots were not aces, the Fi’gas took what he could get.

Though, one in particular was clearly distinct from the rest. Its sleek, angular frame was adorned with intricate reliefs of stars, gleaming with a radiant golden hue that seemed to shimmer in the light. The mecha's head is crowned with a crest resembling a blazing sun, with piercing emerald eyes on its head. its legs were reverse-jointed, made for agile movement, with reinforced joints and thrusters that allow it to traverse any terrain with ease. This machine was the Zi’Ko, or as its pilot called it, the God Machine Zi’Ko. Within the Juzumaru, a certain Mechanic, as she usually had, isolated herself in the bridge, as he tinkered with some parts she had brought, her intent, to try installing a newer targeting computer for the shi. The army certainly wasn't doing them any favors with what they left them with… Though, even before first contact, most warships were just glorified cargo ships, with weapons strapped on, and Vanguard Armors put in the hangar bays. However, an alarm tone from the controls snapped her out of her focus.

She only grumbled in annoyance as she got to her feet, and looked at the display, her eyes widening at what she saw, the quickness of the objects approaching, it could only be one thing. She stepped over to the ship’s intercom, and yelled into the microphone.

“We got enemies!” In what seemed to be a moment, the Jovial mood had disappeared almost instantly, and the pilots were already flying through the corridors, making their way to the hangar bay, one thought upon their minds, eliminating these Garsalan.. Though, one among them still had the idea of impressing somebody else, to no surprise.

“Time to show Kanta just what the hero Han Chen can do!” As this thought echoed through his head, the cockpits of their respective machines opened in their presence, wires to bring them in dropped from above, and before long, they were in, and subsequently, their machines launched from the ship… The two forces were now in visual range, ready to combat each other. Takeshi’s eyes scanned the enemies in front of them, as he spoke into the channel, his face coming into existence on his allies holographic displays.

“What’s that one in the center? We’ve never seen anything like it…” Takeshi questioned.

“My guess, Either a model we haven’t heard of, or somebody’s custom unit, just like Takeshi fought.” Haemon added.

“Whatever the case is, we’d best take care of it!” Diederick rushed forward, taking two of the blades located on his machine’s side from their hilt, and attempting to bisect the Zi’ko, but his strike found no purchase, as a golden blade of light took shape, extending from the machine’s left arm, slicing through the blades in short order, leaving the Hohenzollern with eyes widened… While the fi’gas angled his head upward, almost looking down upon the human machine.

"Fuur, er aill rish e waeful suirn rdeln if du dha haed ull dha Nuye frena... Thair wairr fa aerirr." - "Fool, as if such a weapon could stand up to the heat of the Nova blade... This will be easy." The panels which covered the machine’s chest began to split, revealing a mass of short, yet large barrels. Diedrick’s instincts took effect, and he drew back almost immediately, but this did not let him get away undamaged. The plasma which was fired spread out into a cone, in some way, resembling a shotgun. Translated, it was the Photon Scattergun. The heat in his cockpit rose, as the outer armor on the Valgeogan’ts shoulders, and torso, melted away upon contact with the plasma. The other S’ fan’s attempted to finish the job, and take advantage of his temporary disorientation, and fire the warheads on what resembled upsized rocket-launchers.

However, a beam pierced through the cockpit of one with deadly accuracy, eviscerating the pilot within, and leaving the machine to fall out of the sky. The source of the shot, the Danzaman’s stinger drones, which rapidly flowed through the sky at the pilot’s behest, firing off beams from multiple angles, aiming to split the remaining machines up, a measure that worked swimmingly. One found itself in the past of the Kaizenbuster, and was subsequently turned into scrap metal. In order to avenge his comrade, another aimed their launcher, and warhead, toward their killer. The shot did not make it out however, as the machine was bisected by a swipe from the Gaojinizer’s scythe long before that could happen.

The Fi’gas began weaving through the sky in short order, flying toward his newly set target, Takeshi’s Gaojinizer. The pilot’ eyes widened at the pure speed of the machine. He increased the power fed to the Comet pulse cannon, and fired it outward, but his fire was weaved around, and in short order, the machine’s left arm was raised, and the barrel mounted upon the arm was made visible…

“"Id air daina, I'n ufalailr dha sasaiayasr! Barail dha Sures-Maissuweya dselrllas!" - "It is time, I'm opening the receivers! Begin the Solar-Microwave transfer!"

In earth’s orbit, what looked to be a small beam of light, began to pierce through the atmosphere, the source of which, a satellite, bathed in the Sun’s light. The results were seen almost instantly, as the machine’s output began to increase time and time again, moreso as metal panels extended from the machine’s back, the gold luminance which emitted from them, made wings forged of light.

Light of the same color built up within the barrel, until, within, the pilot pressed a button on his display, firing off a downright gigantic stream of particles, which forced Takeshi to take evasive action. But just as Diederick had, he did not come out undamaged, his cockpit heated up rapidly, the armor on his machine boiling, melting, the kinetic energy of the stream throwing him back. Yet, he knew it would have been much worse if he’d been hit entirely. In moments, the Valgeogant had already returned to attempt to cleave through the machine once more, with one of the many other blades stored throughout its body, but once more, it found no purchase, its blade melted. However, the Garalan took a second swipe, removing the machine’s arm in short order.

Diederick tsked as he was forced to back up once more, and he likely would have been cut off once more, had Haemon and his Salvoner appeared, angling his anti-energy shields toward the opponent, the blade recoiling as if the field rejected its presence. The ongoing battle was not exactly the easiest one, 2 of their 5 machines had been damaged, and the enemy was nearly untouched… This situation was only made worse, as an unaware Kaizenbuster, was striked from the rear by one of the Fusion warheads the enemy had brought, which to no surprise, shook the frame greatly, the explosion produced force of which even damaged its armor, durable as it was. Watching from afar, Han placed his hand onto his chin, his machine’s role as a long range machine, as a scanner, was important… If those panels opened, and that beam was fired afterward, then.. Could it be some sort of… Receiver? Space based solar power?

“Then I know what needs to be done… Keep him busy, I'll try to line up a shot and take those wings out, the thrusters too, as he is now, he’s too fast!”

His stingers began to slowly move, as he stayed out of the way to avoid drawing attention to himself, the machine that the machina fought against was a cut above the others they’d fought, that was clear. Even the machines that joined him seemed to be doing much better than most of their opponents had thus far… But regardless, there was another issue at hand, that he hadn’t realized until his machine’s scanners pinged him, the same flower-like ship which brought the Garsalan to the battlefield, had joined in, firing off stream of particles toward the Juzumaru, while within, Kyoko eyed this with eyes widened.

“I didn’t expect them to actually get involved…” She moved toward the intercom once more.

“Brace yourselves and hold onto something, I’m gonna try to evade!” Back toward the ship’s controls she went, beginning an ascent, and a backward thrust, the beams very narrowly missed the ship’s surface, only shaking it a bit. But the beam fire continued coming, Kanta and Rakesh held on as best as they could inside, as the man spoke outward.

“Who are they fighting out there?!”

Han’s timing needed to be correct, and he had to devote the right amount of his Stingers to both the machine, and the ship they’d come on… The machine was currently between Takeshi, and Diederick, but their strikes weren’t hitting, the machine had managed to outmaneuver them, worse than that, their machines continually slammed into each other as they tried to strike at the same time..

“Stand out of my way, Commoner!”

“That’s my line, Blondie!” That certainly could not bode well for any chances of success. Andrew and Haemon were busy with their own enemies, so it all boiled down to him… If he were to strike the ship’s reactor, he would be able to knock out its means of attack, with the tap of a button, he switched to thermal vision… The highest areas of heat were the recently fired guns. And a space where the “Stem” of the ship met the petals…

“Jackpot…” He continually made micro adjustments, he would need to make sure he striked true… 5 seconds passed, and beams ripped from the barrels of the stingers, piercing the reactor… In a short time, bubbles appeared on the surface of the hull, before plasma, and radiation, burst from within. Streams streaked through the air, until the ship was destroyed in an instant, casting what looked like a second sun over the waters. And it seemed that the Fi’gas was not in a much better state, his machine’s movements had slowed dramatically, the apparatus which allowed him to fly was destroyed. As well as his most potent weapon… What was he to do here?

“Ersefa du dha Pasraiel Ossifedul Zula, err ull irrui, eln safusd whed heffalan hasa, I nuifd I'rr fa necailr-" - “Escape to the Persian Occupation Zone, all of you, and report what happened here, I doubt I'll be making-"

His words were confirmed when Diederick striked with a vengeance, and the Fi’gas watched the gleaming metal fill up his camera, before it intruded into his cockpit… The Valgeogant dragged its blade across the armor, flying past the machine, and stopping behind it. As the blade was subsequently placed into its hill, the two halves of the machine split apart, falling into the water below. Those on the enemy side acted immediately upon their superior's orders, though, given the low chittering from their mandibles, it was something that none of them were happy about… While the machina pilots floated in silence. That could have been a lot worse.
