YEAR 8729
In a dark basement, a ray of light beamed past from the outside into an opening. As the light shined it hovered towards a boy about 12 years old asleep in the basement. As the beam of light hovered onto the boy’s eye he awoke abruptly before panicking. He breathed heavily as he searched his surroundings cautiously. Searching every corner of the basement Godfrey slightly calmed down. As he stood up completely he remembered what had happened the day before. Godfrey tried not to remember but as he recalled bits and pieces it couldn’t be suppressed. He was angry, he was confused, he didn’t know what to do, he was utterly weak and incompetent.
As a kid he was never one to dwell in sadness for too long, he was fairly smart for his age as he matured faster than most kids. Though filled with anger, Godfrey struck the stone basement walls as he lashed his fists repeatedly. He never felt anger, yet why was he angry now? Shouldn’t he feel sadness and grief? As Godfrey thought about that he questioned his self-being.
“Stronger, I will become stronger,” Saying this Godfrey then rephrased himself, “No, I will be the strongest!” As Godfrey said those words before long his fists were covered with blood and bones fractured. He clenched his fists and teeth as he yelled in anger before continuing his rampage on the wall staining it crimson red. As he was clearly in pain his eyes never left the spot his fists first touched. Before long Godfrey let the pain set as he slid on the wall completely exhausted from his rampage. Godfrey felt stronger, yet as he looked at the wall at his attempt it showed no damage, but only a wall filled with bits of muscle and blood.
Seeing his attempt Godfrey abruptly got up before frowning. He was in misfortune, yet why was he not given a foundation to at least get-up? Was he destined to be this weak forever? Were the tales of magic and strength that rival the mountains not real? Not wanting to believe such a reality he pushed his body once again before shakingly trying to lift his right arm from the numbness and pain. Though before he could land his punch on the basement wall he was suddenly stopped by an ethereal hand that was bright red.
“Foolish, a mere human thinks he can be the strongest?” Reacting slowly, Godfrey heard a strong voice echoing in his ears. As he turned to his right he saw a naked red-skinned man with star symbols coating his skin. It looked ethereal yet so real, it was as if it was a ghost Godfrey thought. The man had horns protruding from his forehead, long white hair, eyes so red that they were devoid of human characteristics and emitted an aura beyond comprehension. Godfrey felt as if he stood before a king, an aura that made him fall to his knees. He felt small, his knees felt like tons of pounds had collided onto them and were completely chained to the floor.
Trying to stand up Godfrey panicked from the sight of the man as he tried his best to get away from him. Though as Godfrey tried to move his arms before he could even blink his arms were completely slashed off their sockets. After seconds had passed Godfrey finally reacted as he screamed in pain and blood splattered everywhere. His arms were no more; they were shredded into a paste. As the strange man saw this he smiled before laughing to himself and licking his bloodied nails.
“Fresh blood, the sign of blood hood is truly nostalgic.” Smiling to himself in the puddle of blood all throughout he then suddenly looked straight into Godfrey’s eyes.
“You want to be strong?” The man questioned Godfrey as he looked deeper into Godfrey’s eyes.
“I-I want to be-” Though before Godfrey could respond the strange man clicked his tongue and impaled Godfrey’s heart. Shocked Godfrey screamed horribly in pain as blood splattered further flooding the ground of the once dry soil.
“Now, this is your last chance to make it count!” The strange man’s eyes radiated as he was dissatisfied by Godfrey’s answer.
“Power, give me power.” Godfrey responded weakly as he lost too much blood to sustain further action.
“Yes, that is what human desires lead to; having something they cannot realistically get.” Saying this the strange man suddenly constructed a red ethereal spear that radiated a stench of blood and screams that echoed within it. As Godfrey was frozen and beaten to the point of death he could no longer comprehend what was happening. Before Godfrey could react anymore he felt a spearhead enter his empty cavity where his heart resided. Having already been beaten to his death Godfrey collapsed and before long his vision blurred into darkness.
YEAR 3729 PAST~
“Sire, they’re coming to the palace!” As the gentlemen spoke in distress he spoke to a man that wore a crown and had hair as white as the pure wings of angels.
“The 19th Imperial Demon Soul Vessel will not fall in their hands, I, Advaticus will not let it be!” As Advaticus yelled, his skin turned crimson red, and stars appeared before his skin radiating with absolute energy. What faced before him was hoards of demons attacking his palace and slaughtering his men.
“Fools, they will all die in the future, they will all regret killing her...!” With a swipe of his hand suddenly a burst of energy flew across imitating a hand before completely incinerating the enemies before him to nothingness. Knowing that other kings would soon come to hunt him down, Advaticus was nervous as he rushed outside the palace. Leaving the palace he blew himself to the red skies before flying at great speeds into a location he predetermined on his way.
“Star Dimension Separation!” As he rushed forward he slashed through the sky before a sudden crack then appeared. Once the crack became big enough Advaticus flew into it. Going through the crack Advaticus profusely bled as his body could not handle the extreme pressure from entering a forced dimension rift. Injured as he was from running away as fast as he could he soon entered a world with skies as blue as the purest of oceans and forests that covered large bodies of the land. Though as beautiful as the sight was, suddenly several figures appeared near him floating in the skies with him.
“Give up the soul Advaticus!” floating above the white-haired man a hunched bald horned old man with keen eyes stared down Advaticus.
“Do you think betraying us will give you a great ending?!” The old man said loudly as the winds stirred and the nearby trees bent in half. Ignoring the old man, Advaticus suddenly lifted his arm before a small bright azure ball of fire appeared. As it appeared the forest below them suddenly turned into ash. The wind became like a wave of heat slowly searing their skin. Feeling the heat the other individuals quickly appeared farther out from Advaticus.
“You actually dare to go against our ruler, the Demon Emperor?” The old man frowned as he became furious towards Advaticus. Seeing the old man angry, Advaticus smiled back in further defiance.
“Why should I obey a fool of an emperor that favors foggies like you?!” As he questioned them he suddenly appeared near the old man before smashing the ball of fire towards him. Seeing the move and threat of Advaticus the old man swiftly dodged as he suddenly bent his back beyond normality. Dodging the azure ball of fire he looked back as he saw mountains destroyed beyond recognition with its fire hastily engulfing and melting the ground. Seeing this the old man instantly regretted his decision to look and before he could react he suddenly received a punch to his face.
Receiving the punch the old man flew miles away as he landed into the ground cracking and collapsing the ground beneath him. Checking his wounds the old man found out that Advaticus broke his arms and bent his neck. Seeing that Advaticus was serious the old man yelled desperately towards the other individuals.
“Exterminate that fool before he escapes, losing the soul is the last thing we want this fool to do!” Seeing the actions Advaticus had taken, the other monarchs nodded to each other before they instantaneously appeared before Advaticus with sharp weapons. One had a katana, one had a dagger, one had a greatsword, and lastly one had a claw. Seeing this in a split second, Advaticus vanished before appearing above them with tiny blue stars that sparkled with absolute brilliance.
“Regret, you will all regret your decisions, the next emperor will not favor you!” Clasping his hands together, Advaticus secretly released a box before stamping his aura and will within it as a guide to the soul.
“You fool, you will stain our blood with these humans!” Seeing what Advaticus was going to do the old man adjusted his injuries and instantly appeared before Advaticus. Approaching him though he hesitantly went back as he realized what Advaticus planned to really do. Though as he saw through it, it was too late.

“Stars End, Supernova is marked at the end!” The blue stars shined brightly as suddenly an explosion instantly engulfed the lands and everyone within it. What followed after made the entire forest and mountains disappear forever as what was left was a crater of nothingness.
After what seemed to be days later suddenly a rift appeared in the sky and before it was an army which seemed to be demons.
“Go back to the emperor and report that the soul is gone, it is likely dead since Advaticus’s self-destruct supernova is nothing to be played with.” Heaving a sigh the commander of the army dismissed them before returning back himself.
8729 PRESENT~
“It’s dark again, blood, it was blood, my heart, it was gone?” Slowly opening his eyes Godfrey saw a tiny glimpse of red in the slither of the opening from which he was in a crevasse. Before standing up he suddenly clutched his chest as he was awoken abruptly from recalling the moments before his slumber. Alarmed from how he lived he noticed his arms were still intact and showed no sign of injury. Soon he then checked his chest again and found something which was never there before. It was black a symbol that looked like a spear and around it were thorns that strangely moved around. Though as he inspected the mark he suddenly noticed a man sitting far away from him staring at him.
Noticing the man he immediately found that it was the person who nearly killed him. Though as he saw the man he no longer had red skin but wore a crown filled with jewels and white hair that looked like an angel's wings. As intimidated as he was before for some reason as he approached him he was no longer afraid. Walking closer Godfrey noticed the man had eyes as blue as the skies with swirls that showed brilliance. He looked human, but he knew that he truly wasn’t what he looked like.
“W-who are you?” Questioning the mysterious man who had nearly killed him, the man stood up.
“I am Advaticus, The King of Stars, known as the 7th monarch of the Demon Realm. I may seem real, but I am just a withering will of my previous self. You may be wondering where you are right now too. We reside in the depths of my conscience, at least 1/100th of what it was before.” Introducing himself to Godfrey he walked towards Godfrey before inspecting the symbol on his chest. As he did so Godfrey flinched and before he could do anything he felt heavy as suddenly his own skin turned pale white.
“W-what did you do to me?!” Alarmed from the oddness of his skin he then witnessed as his nails sharpened and turned black. Furthering the transformation he saw from himself he rushed towards a puddle of water that showed his appearance. What he saw before him was a boy with black hair, two horns protruding outwards on his forehead, and what changed the most was his eyes. His right eye looked so red yet from his left was an eye that looked to be violet and the pupil indicating a star.
“I have given you what you wanted, power. My inheritance, the eye of the stars, the power to overwhelm the power of worlds. I may have not reached the highest level, but I have studied star magic to the peak of what is possible at my level. You also may wonder what that symbol means where I took your human heart out. It is the symbol of a demon emperor, the soul that lurks and creates the destiny of true authority.”
Explaining to Godfrey what he had done, Advaticus walked towards Godfrey, and before Godfrey could do anything he was flung towards the wall. Once Godfrey hit the wall he threw up blood before shaking as he tried to stand up.
“I may have given you power, but prove to me boy, that my decisions are not faulty.” Advaticus frowned as he repeatedly punched and kicked Godfrey’s body around sending him crashing to walls repeatedly. Weak he thought, too weak to be an emperor he desired to nurture.
“Boy, stand up and face me, show me your resolve to have the right to inherit this title.” Picking Godfrey up, Advaticus sent him tumbling farther as he slung him to the walls, cracking the rock walls. Trying to get up, Godfrey struggled as his own body kept shaking from the raw physical strength of the man. He was given power and accepted the truth about becoming a demon yet he was still as weak as he was before.
“Father and mother, dammit why am I so damn weak?” Groaning as he felt pain coursing through his body he finally stood but was clearly shaking.
“This is my chance, yet I’m letting it slip away!” As he stood he stopped himself and balanced himself as he struggled to lift a muscle after standing up. Though from sheer anger he forced himself and walked towards Advaticus with his right fist preparing to land a punch.
“Stronger, I need to become stronger to kill those monsters!” Using his anger from the slaughter of his parents, Godfrey thrust his right arm towards Advaticus with his greatest strength.
“Weak!” Though as his punch traveled towards Advaticus it was blocked and before long he was once again kicked into the walls.
“How ignorant and stupid, weak and incompetent is what you are.” Smiling towards Godfrey Advaticus then pointed up. Godfrey confused and beaten, looked up, and before him, he looked in awe as he saw a gigantic red ball of fire. Panicked Godfrey tried to get up once again, but as he tried to do so he found that his legs were completely broken. His legs and bones were protruding outwards and could no longer rely on them to stand up. Before long suddenly the red ball of fire finally moved and launched itself towards Godfrey.
“Damn it! Do something, you idiot!” Struggling and commenting on himself Godfrey tried to crawl from his position. Though as he did so he shook from the pain as his legs scraped the sharp jagged ground of rocks. Crawling from the position he forced himself, but before he could do anything he looked back and saw that the ball of fire was too big for him to crawl from. Nothing else to do, Godfrey braced himself as he did not know if he could survive.
As the giant ball of fire neared Godfrey he frowned before shakingly throwing his arms and hands up to try to stop it. Knowing he couldn’t do anything Godfrey thrust his arms as hard as he could, preparing to push it back. Even though it was futile suddenly as the fire reached Godfrey something unexpected happened. Suddenly before Godfrey’s hand, a black massive spear appeared protecting him from the giant ball of fire and extinguishing it completely. Shocked from the sudden appearance of the spear and surviving Godfrey dropped the spear and panted from exhaustion and pain.
“I see, I was not wrong, the soul has chosen you.” As Godfrey sat in pain and inability to walk, Advaticus smiled before picking up the spear. The spear looked long almost 10 feet and on the sides were blades that riddled the length of the spear. Additionally, the spear spewed an aura beyond life and looked as if it corroded the ground as it dropped.
“This soul weapon is the bane of an emperor, his own weapon, remember this and remember it well, never let this leave your side.” Telling Godfrey this Advaticus threw it towards Godfrey and suddenly the symbol on his chest immediately sucked in the spear. Afterward, Advaticus knelt down before caressing his hands before Godfrey’s broken legs and wounds. Suddenly, his wounds immediately started to reconnect and his bones were back in place with his flesh.
“H-how did you do that?!” Amazed by Advaticus’s power and magic overall Godfrey was curious and felt the need to achieve the same power.
“I do not have time to teach anything to you boy, but I will only tell you what I need to. Learn and work hard, the time we will meet will be once you have understood this world properly. I am only a messenger that stood here in time to wait for the inheritor and do me a favor in return.” Telling Godfrey this Advaticus sounded serious as he looked sad and angry saying those words.
“Favor? I’ll do anything, I’m already grateful enough to be given this power!” Grateful towards being given a path to tread, Godfrey was willing to pay this mysterious demon a favor.
“Then...destroy the demon realm and kill the bastard who rules it!” Shouting this Advaticus’s fist flew towards the wall as it destroyed and revealed an illusionary world before them. Obviously angry Advaticus’s eyes shined as suddenly a melody played all throughout the illusionary world. The voice sounded like an angel and filled the world with slight happiness yet it sounded sad and in pain.
“Flowers, don’t their petals look beautiful Vaticus? I hope we can stay here forever, don't you think so too?” As a beautiful voice resounded in Godfrey’s ears he saw a beautiful woman with blonde hair and eyes that were like gold shining brightly sitting with a man with long white hair and a crown.
“I hope so too, but they’ll turn against me, they hate angels, they’ll kill you…!” In a concerned tone, the man looked down as he held her hand tightly afraid of leaving her. In a comforting gesture even though she had a gloomy expression she held both their hands together.
“This may not be fated, but I believe it is, no matter what happens I’ll be forever with you demon or not.” Smiling briefly she gazed again towards the scenery before them that was filled with bright clouds and lands filled with brilliance inhabiting plant life that brought a surreal feel. As the illusion before Godfrey immediately vanished, another scene appeared showing a bloody battlefield.
“N-no, no this can’t be you can’t die here, you promised you’d stay forever with me?!” The scene before Godfrey depicted a man with white hair holding tightly a beautiful pale woman lying still as blood leaked from a slash deep on her neck. Struggling to do anything to help the woman the man cried as he shook in anger.
“V-Vaticus, don’t cry, you said you were the strongest man right?” In a desperate way to comfort the man the woman shakingly used magic text to communicate and smiled towards Advaticus.
“P-please don’t be mad, don’t hate them because of me, I’ll always be with you Advaticus.” Smiling one last time her eyes slowly closed as her body limped completely. Seeing this the man froze in place as he knelt in place. Before long an aura enveloped the entire battlefield fracturing and heating everything before him. The man’s eyes became pure purple as his fists clenched and two bright violet stars appeared before his fists.
“Die you unfilial filth, die you monsters!” Roaring from anger, Advaticus turned behind him as he turned against his own army. He punched and before long a hundred thousand demons immediately became incinerated and drilled deep within the ground as the ground melted immediately. He continued to punch as he vanished and appeared on the battlefield, incinerating millions of demons.
“You fool, what do you think you're doing?!” Suddenly a man appeared before Advaticus in his rampage. Though as he did so suddenly he was punched before getting incinerated to bits. Getting incinerated the man suddenly regenerated his body in a surprised expression.
“He has gone rogue, this fool actually sides with these angels?!” Clutching his arm the man was in pain as he slowly regenerated his body and retreated from the battlefield.
“I’ll put the demon race in demise, I’ll ruin the demon realm and change everything!” In anger, he fought every demon and before long the battlefield was filled with nothing but an incinerated battleground radiating high amounts of heat. Everything died, they had won against the angels, but he turned against them.
“The Imperial Demon Soul it’s my only hope, I have to hurry…!” Saying this Advaticus angrily rushed off as fast as he could before vanishing completely and after so the scene before Godfrey completely blurred, resulting in Godfrey falling unconscious.
