I wake up but don't feel awake a headache pounding against the darkness of my closed eyes, before slowly opening them and rolling out of bed, the hard cold floor feeling like pins on my skin but nothing I'm not used to by now. Fully standing up in my dark room, I walked over to the switch that was barely visible if not for the rays of light coming from a small window of the ship, flicking it on. I forgot it was a mess either from my drinking or lack of care probably both, I made a mental note to myself. I decided to ignore it for now as it all was supposed to be packed swiftly anyway and stepped over the clothes to the small shabby bathroom flicking on its light before walking to the sink. "You are a mess man" I said to myself like always before leaning in to examine myself like usual; ragged black hair, nothing a shower and a comb couldn't fix, small scars under my chin from my days starting off in the army with the irritating chin guards. I ran my hand against my pale skin over every scar and wound every battle flickering through my mind as I do before I zone back into the task at hand. Brown eyes no impurities surprisingly; I pull my shirt up revealing numerous wounds and scars cresting my almost faded abs, nothing new but still it's good to remind myself of the exercise maniac i used to be. I finish the check and then brush my teeth before hopping in the shower.

After 10 minutes or so i heard a knock on my room door followed by a familiar yet annoying voice, "Spencer wake up we leave in 3 hours" his voice barely overpowering the shower "Got it Roman" He must have heard me seeing as I got no response, so I finished up and got dressed with that warning I decided to make myself something to eat so I begrudgingly stepped out into the hallway and was almost instantly knocked over by some privates who were running in the hall, "A-ah Staff Sergeant I apologize let me help you up" I pushed his hand away while yawning "just go" I said as I stood up, too busy? No, tired? No, just too everything to really care about getting knocked on my ass. I enjoyed the walk to the officer lounge. Thankfully it was empty, I walked over to the food cart, got myself a donut and a coffee packet and started eating while brewing the coffee and before it was done I was already picking up another donut. Once it was done I sat down on the cold leather couch flicking the screen on with the couches built-in remote, looking through the channels I clicked on Syon News Network as their 4-pm galactic standard broadcast was about to begin.

Now I'm no scientists but we do have information from one Professor of astrophysics and quantum mechanics, Professor Kardish from the University of Mars let's see what he has to say" The camera cuts to a bald man with wrinkles presumably in his 40s or 50s "Good evening Professor Kardish do you mind explaining broadly the importance of the X-2011 system" Adam opened with a pretty vague question to steer the questions he has, "Well Adam as we all have heard the X-2011 system is the first true hidden system among the Progenitor colonies being completely disconnected from the gateways then other colonies and in fact it is the only super colony we know of." Kardish paused to take a sip of water "Now Professor what makes it a super colony" Adam said emphasizing the word super colony.
