"Talking"

One morning in a certain city of a certain country, a day like any other day can be seen. Between the buildings you would be able to see the students in uniforms going to school, workers going to work and the ever present sound of cars and other vehicles. 

A handsome teen in a school uniform could be seen running as if in a hurry. He passed by the bustling people, even bumping into some. But because he's in so much of a hurry he didn't notice a girl walking ahead of him. As a result they crashed into each other. 

"Ouch. Can't you see where you're going?!!" said the girl while trying to stand up only for her to fail.

The handsome teen hearing that hurriedly stood up,

"Ah, sorry about that." 

,and apologised to the girl while scratching the back of his head with a silly smile on his face. But seeing that the girl was trying hard to stand up, he got worried. 

"Are you alright?",he asked.

"Who's fault do you think thi-?!", the girl angrily said but she stopped her words when she saw the face of the handsome teen.

The teen seeing that got concerned again,

"Are you alright? Can you stand?"

"I'm fine!" The girl said while blushing. Then she tried to stand again only to fail again.

"Doesn't look like you're okay," He says while crouching next to the girl, "looks like you broke your ankle". After saying that he picked up the girl in a princess carry position. The girl experiencing this was shocked that she couldn't find the words to say.

"Again, sorry about that. I was gonna be late for school after all. There's a clinic near here, I'll get you there quickly." He said.

"Wh-wha-wwat about being late to school? Yo-yu-you can leave me here, I'm fine after all." The girl said while trying to hide her blush. 

" Ah don't worry about that, you're more important right now". The teen said already running to the direction of the clinic, but this time more carefully. He doesn't want another accident to happen after all.

And watching that interaction(among other people) with a slack jaw was a plain looking teen ,who you wouldn't even notice unless you're actively looking for him,  was wearing the same uniform as the handsome looking teen.

'What the hell did I just watch?!!', 

That was my thought while looking at the back of the handsome looking bastard (who I definitely do not want to strangle to death).

I mean, what kind of crappy opening of a rom-com anime did I just watch?!

Speaking of rom-coms, that guy(who I definitely do not want to strangle to death) is definitely a rom-com protagonist, isn't he?! 

I mean he has a cute childhood friend, a cold beauty as fiancee, an energetic junior who always teases him, and the student council president who always comes to the classroom for him. 

Of course he's a protagonist!! Now I know the reason why he's fricking denser than a black hole. He's the only one who'll believe that nonsense of an excuse the President always gives, I mean, who the hell believes that the student council president came to recruit him when they're already full?! 

Not only that, that guy considers himself ugly. Then if you're ugly, what does that make me huh?!! A cockroach?! Don't you see yourself in the mirror?!

I'd bet that he thinks people don't talk to him because he thinks they hate him, well the boys are jealous of him but the girls are just too shy to even glance at him.

Anyway, if that guy really is the protagonist, what am I? Am I just a background character? Am I just-

While I was having an existential crisis, I suddenly saw a car speeding towards me. 

The world slowed down, I tried to run but maybe because of fear or some other reason I couldn't move any part of my body. The car then kept speeding towards me, it grew closer and closer that I just closed my eyes in preparation for what's coming. 

I waited and waited but the expected pain didn't come. I opened my eyes to see only tire marks curving in front of me. I just collapsed to my knees.

"He, hehe,hehihi, huhu, wahahahahahaha!!!!! I'm alive!!!! I'm alive!!! Hahahahahhahahhahahhahha-"  I was so happy to be alive that I didn't even think of the car that crashed into the wall of the building just a few feet away from me. And of course I wouldn't notice the flower vase of the window just six floors above my head. 

You know what happened? Of course the crash of the car rattled the building making the flower vase fall onto my head. And that's not all. The worst thing was that I didn't die immediately and not only that, I was still conscious.

'It hurts…'

'That hit hurts..'

'Why is it so cold?'

'Now it's hot'

'Is that blood near my eye? It's unpleasant….'

' Am I gonna die? I didn't even get to finish the anime I was watching.'

I didn't even acknowledge the people shouting about calling an ambulance or something. I just kept wondering to myself if this is really happening.

' I don't think I have much time,'

'so let's enjoy this fantasy as much as I can… Let's start with pred, no, let's start with Raphael.'

'It worked!! I got an ultimate skill, even if this is only something my mind is giving to me I'm already happy. Hehehe. Now let's do Beelzebub!!!'

Thinking that, I fell asleep.

What the hell was that?!!

Who thinks that much in a second?!!

No matter,that guy is already out of this world.

Still,I wonder what happened? How did that guy manage to become self aware?

Is someone interfering in my world? Or was that guy just so pathetic that he got an existential crisis by believing in what he saw in novels and manga?

Tch, why does that stupid background character have to get a skill that severes fate. 

Ah, whatever. Let's just strengthen my influence on the minds of these people in my world. Doubt that guy would suddenly come back anyway.
