Shadow Wolf they get a darkness affinity but are weak against light magic. Dire Wolf this is the step before werewolf but I recommend not choosing it yet. Steel Wolf they gain a armor hard fur. Shadow Wolfs become either Demon Wolfs or Dark Dire Wolf. Steel Wolfs become Dark Steel Dire Wolfs or something even more fearsome. Please keep in mind all these options when he hits level 10. And on the plus side he can become a demi-human after werewolf if you want. I'm thinking he's going to be hot.
