Hi everyone,
I'm back!
Last year in October I completed Champion of Small Gods. It took me ten months to write and came out at a whopping 187000 words! I didn't have the book planned or pre-written and delivering 5000 words per week was one of the biggest challenges I have even taken on. Just bringing it to a close consumed about two months of my life. To my delight the book is still going strong with new readers discovering the adventures of Konrad, Spirit and the Small Gods.
As a new writer I learned so much, things I didn't even know about writing, pacing, characters and dialogue and I have poured everything I have into my new series Riot's War. The first volume is called Leybound. Its already completed, and I'm hard at work on the next one (of Five or Six)

The story follows Nathanial Riot, Sergeant in the regiments of the Arcanum. After being betrayed by a corrupt system he's made Leybound, fused to the power of the arcane ley lines. The Faelen and the Wikkan aren't happy with anyone messing with the ley power, but they are the least of Riot's worries as he is thrown in with the Leybound; murderers, thieves and worse.
Riot will have to find a way to lead them while he contends with a legacy that he finds harder and harder to live up to, and another that he would rather keep hidden.
It's a tall order for a fighting man, but the savage ley power whispers a promise. If Riot can tame it he can do more than just survive. He can win.
