“Kai order for table 4 and table 6 is ready!”

Nodding his head Kai the waiter working in this old Chinese restaurant grabbed the two dishes of noodles and chicken with both hands quickly made his way to the tables.

Kai was an ordinary young man hes 19 years old 6ft tall, average body, and his looks is ordinary but you can't tell up close since his long black hair covers half his face.

“Here’s your order.” Said Kai while putting the food down

The customer didn’t even say a few words but quickly started eating not even glancing at the poor boy.

*Sigh* “They really do treat us all like trash” Kai thought to himself

*Crash!* While walking to the next table Kai was suddenly tripped and landed face first while spilling all the food on the floor.

Suddenly the restaurant became all quiet but the laughter and giggling can be heard from the table next to Kai.

“Watch where you’re going man” Said a young man while laughing similar to Kai’s age but his appearance clearly showed he came has money.

Next to him were two girls giggling at Kai’s funny appearance of food stuck in his hair and sauces all over his face and clothes.

Kai slowly stood up, wiped the blood from dripping from his nose with left arm and stared at the guy who tripped him.

“Yoouu got something to say?...” The young man was enjoying the situation at first but after he looked at Kai’s black eyes and calm face staring at him he was starting to feel like he did something he shouldn’t have.

Suddenly everyone in the restaurant had their eyes on the two young men, even the commotion from the kitchen became quiet, and all were waiting to see if a fight was going to happen.

Kai was still looking at the guy, but then slowly took a deep breath, closed his eyes for a few seconds and then shook his head. Then Kai proceeded to pick up the broken pieces of plates he broke from his fall and food from the floor.

“I thought so haha” Seeing how Kai didn’t do anything but admit defeat the young man continued to laugh with the two girls.

The restaurant became noisy again knowing that nothing was going to happen, but if it was all quiet again you could hear that Kai out of anger crushed a piece of plate to tiny pieces like it was snow.

After an hour since the Incident Kai was at the back of the kitchen washing his face with water and then began wrapping a piece of cloth over his left hand where he crushed the plate.

“I’m such an idiot I didn’t mean to cut myself…” Kai said to himself regretting the fact that he injured himself.

“Whoosh” The kitchen door opened

A fat man with a face similar to a pig approached Kai

Looking at Kai made the fat man start to feel angry. He only hired Kai a couple months ago since he accepted half the wage per hour but his quiet attitude and personality always made him angry for some reason.

Grunting the Fat man said to Kai “Kai the food you spilled will be coming out of your paycheck”

‘That’s 25 Yuan… Then I’ll be earning only 50 Yuan this week Kai thought to himself’

Kai slowly began squeezing his bandage hand, from the pressure the hand was slowly turning red.

The fat man slowly raised his right eye brow noticing how Kai was squeezing his fist like he was about to throw a punch.

“You have a problem with that?”

Kai realizing he was getting angry slowly let go his fist and shook his head.

Kai knowing full well with his background and circumstances in this world knew that it was useless at all to retort back, even if he did what power did he have to back him up? He needed the money not for himself but also his little sister so all he could do was nod at the fat man and slowly let go his anger.

Seeing how weak the kid was the fat man couldn’t help but laugh at this appearance.

“Haha, make sure to throw away the trash after you clean yourself up”

The fat man left through the back door leaving Kai all alone in the restaurant, poor Kai everyday had to close up and clean before he could leave. The fat man wasn’t at all scared of how this poor boy was left alone his in restaurant after the theft from last year he installed multiple cameras from every angle knowing that if Kai stole something he would fire the boy then charge him double for anything missing.

Kai slowly smiled helplessly “Is this what my life has to offer?”

Kai was used to being pushed down all the time but he hated the fact that he never gets a chance to retaliate if he does retaliate he will probably just get into more trouble and then what? Thinking about this all Kai could do was smile helplessly.

After cleaning up Kai slowly took the trash out and headed outside to the trash bins

*Vroooum!* A load car engine echoed through the air

“Hey Josh it’s the kid”

“Haha hey kid thanks for the entertainment back there”

Turning his head Kai turned around to see where the voices were coming from; across from him was the asshole that tripped him

The young man was in a VRX car with toned red paint job similar to the color of his dyed hair. After seeing the car Kai fully understood now why he was so arrogant, someone with that car clearly had power and money not him maybe but his parents for sure.

*Vrooom!* The car once again sounded it’s engine.

Seeing Kai looking at his ride the young man knew that Kai realizes how much power he holds and he couldn’t help but smile and continued arrogantly flaunting his ride.

“Josh let’s go you promise to take us out shopping” Said one of the girls next to Josh

“Okay Okay, Let’s go” Josh said while giving Kai another sneer before leaving

‘The car probably cost 200k Yuan, it’ll probably take me 30 years to buy a car like that.’ Kai thought while laughing a bit on how expensive that car is, heck he wouldn’t even dare ride it in the open.

As the car was backing the young man wasn’t looking behind him since he was still acting tough in front of Kai, behind him was a truck approaching at high speeds not slowing down at all.

As his car was getting out of the parking lot the Truck suddenly turned and crashed straight at him crushing him and the two girls with him to death instantly.

*BOOM!*

Pieces of metal blew by everywhere like a meteor shower, while the sound of the crash echoed through the air like a bomb, causing everyone nearby to run for safety.

“What the hell happened!”

While Kai was heading back to the restaurant the sound of the crash scared him so much it made him jump in the air then landed on his butt.

Turning around he saw a green truck rammed straight into that fancy red car crushing like a crushed ball of paper.

“Oh shit!”

Kai ran towards the crash to see if anyone survived.

Approaching the wreckage the front of the red car was squished by the truck and between the gaps was red blood dripping down the sides.

Seeing the amount of blood dripping down like tooth paste Kai couldn’t help but feel his stomach tightening.

“Is anyone alive?” Kai quietly asked, his voice was so quiet it was like a whisper.

No respond came but only the sound of the truck engine could be heard while it continued to humm violently.

Kai checked the front seat of the Truck to see if anyone was alive but it was useless, the truck driver was covered in blood face down on the wheel not moving at all.

Suddenly sirens of police and ambulances can be heard nearby.

“Oh shit I better run”

As Kai started to run back to the restaurant he notices a white box no bigger than his head lying across from him with a helmet logo on its sides.

Kai slowly approached the box thinking that he seen this somewhere before.

“My god it’s a gaming helmet!”

Kai couldn’t believe his eyes it’s a gaming helmet! These helmets cost a fortune and this one was just lying here!

The siren sound was getting closer and closer.

“Oh man, I better head back inside”

Kai ran back to the restaurant with the gaming helmet under his arms holding it tightly like it was his new born baby.
