Chakra Nodes 3
Training
Crisp morning air drifted through the air. Flowing lazily over oak , down through the river grass and up through the pines. The wind fell to a light breeze only after its trip across the hills of Millow village where it would finally come to a stop on young Howls nose.
‘Ha Chu!’
Howl stood on the tips of his fingers in the morning air, he was shirtless, damp sweat could be seen falling down his torso where it would drip down his close cut head and into the grass below.
Howl's eyes remained steady.
Seventy One he counted aloud. ‘More grunt than word. Seventy two. Seventy three Seventy four .
In one motion he let his body fall forward, rolling over his hands.
‘Yeah , seventy four seconds is kind of hard.’
Howl laid upon his back at ease. The hard work and heavy breaths taking him to a place of peace.
Zen state. A place of perfect balance within oneself. Howl smiled , it was the perfect time to gather his energy. He focused, letting his body breath and turning his attention inwards , the touch of his soul going upward until it rested on the base of his head , where the next Chakra node rested in wait for him to unlock.
Chakra Node 74 . The Crown Chakra. Perfect for a new Sage his master had said as he deposited a scroll into his lap this morning at breakfast.
Howl dragged his finger across the list of requirements he had to accomplish before trying to unlock the Chakra Node.
In old handwriting tinted with red and green, it read.
Crown Chakra.

Requires The relaxing of the body and an ease of the mind. To begin, perform the following.
Thirty seven stretches were listed below some with drawn illustrations. It took Howl we’ll into an hour to finish them all, some of the bends made his muscles twist and his mind work but the clarity that came when it was done was well worth it. It gave him the right mind space to jump into the next step.
Body refinement.
Howl mentally marked off each exercise as he finished them.
Seventy Four one arm palm pushes
Seventy four tip toe squats
Seventy four bridge thrust.
Seventy four seconds of Handstand fingertip holds.
Howl recalled all of this as he breathed in the grass. His mind going over his thoughts before he did the last item on the list.
Meditation.
Howl didn’t use any particular breathing method to meditate. He simply laid on his back and breathed . In and out. In and out. Letting the energy of his body out letting the energy of the world flow in. It took a while to get to when he first began. Minutes of clearing the mind of thoughts. Now thgough it only took him moments.
Water. A washing river flowed inside him. One that washed him with warmth that circulated his body in his entirety. This was Internal Energy. Howl didnt know what that really meant just yet, but he knew if he increased the amount in his body, he could open up any Chakra Node he pleased.
And so Howl moved to increase it. He focused on the energy within him and guided it through his body, mentally going deeper and deeper into his meditation until he arrived at a place that made him feel perfectly at ease and think of stars for some reason. The sages as for most things believed that one should come to their own name to reflect the way one viewed a standard technique.
Howl agreed. For him this wasn’t simply meditation, nor was this really gathering internal energy.
To him it felt like being in a river of his own Soul.
It was then another breeze wafted into Howl's nose. The breeze flew in from the vent of a bakery at the mouth of Millow. It rolled steadily . It rolled with the smell of pie.
Howl was up and dressed in a shirt so fast the dust still sat in the air. A quick dive in the river with a bar of soap saw him scrubbed and a hefty backpack saw him prepared.
“See ya later Master! I’m going to fight the goblins!“ ‘Chakra Node. Quick Tap! ‘ With a trail of smoke Howl ran off in the direction of the bakery. Unknown to him a grizzly man sat peacefully as he crooked his eye through the window.
‘Foolish. ‘ The sage shook his head at his apprentice as he ran off. ‘You must learn patience Howl. Before it is too late. ‘
The man looked away.
