Accompanied by a flash of light, Yvette and Daiyu appeared atop the teleportation array within the Main Peak.
Traversing the familiar path, the pair soon arrived before the Main Mansion. But instead of entering the building, the pair followed another path and arrived at a garden.
Entering, the usual sight of her brother being trained by her father came into view, while her mother watched the sight in amusement.
Catching sight of her, Esfir smilingly beamed towards her, which she consented to.
Arriving before her mother, Yvette did not sit next to her like how she usually would. Instead, she stood before her and directly spoke.
“Mother, may I visit the Stellar City?”
Unprepared of the sudden request, Esfir silently pondered for a moment before inquiring.
“As you would be required to leave the clan at one point, it would not be a problem. But is there a reason for you to ask now?”
“I wish to take a formationist and inscriber examination.” Answered Yvette.
Surprised, Esfir silently looked at Yvette before finally saying with a smile, “To have become beginner formationist and inscriber. I am very proud of you.” She said while ruffling Yvette’s hair, “Fine then, I will allow it, I will also try to persuade your father to consent. But you will have to take another person with you aside from Daiyu so as to be able to both protect and guide you as you go around the city.”
She then looked towards where Bahram and Behnam is and called out, “Husband, Behnam. Would you two please come here.”
Hearing Esfir called them over, the pair of father and son put aside what they were doing and walked towards them. As Esfir explained the situation, Bahram nodded his head, expressing his consent with Esfir’s decision.
“Father, mother, may I be the one to accompany sister to the city?”
Looking towards their son who suddenly said those words with a straight face, Esfir and Bahram pondered for a moment before looking back at each other.
“Fine, you may.” Said Esfir, whose words was agreed upon by Bahram who silently nodded.
But before Behnam could say anything else, Esfir turned towards Yvette, “Are you fine with having your brother to accompany you around the city?” Turning to look towards his sister who always kept an expressionless face, a slight apprehension filled Behnam’s heart as he waited for her answer.
“I do not mind.” Said Yvette.
Hearing her natural sounding answer, Behnam silently sighed in relief inside his heart, confirming that his new sister did not despise him for his rude behavior during their first meeting.
“When will you be going?” Inquired Esfir. Behnam who has just volunteered to be her guide also pricked up his ear.
“If possible, I would prefer to go now.” Answered Yvette without hesitation.
Not expecting such an answer, the others were taken aback. Thinking that Yvette was thinking rashly, Esfir worriedly inquired, “Have you considered thoroughly?”
Understanding her mother’s worries, Yvette nodded her head and explained, “I believe it is unwise to delay the inevitable, hence I have decided to take the examination as soon as possible.”
Finding her words reasonable, Esfir pondered before finally relenting, “Fine then, you may go with your brother.” Then, she raised the palm of her hand as a stuffed bag appeared atop her palm, “Take this money with you in the case you find something of your interest.” After handing the money, she continued to give her a few advices before finally, yet unwillingly, letting go of Yvette after a reminder from Bahram.
As Esfir looked at her pair of son and daughter who slowly walks farther and farther away, worry continued to sprout within her heart. Then, as if finally reaching a decision, she took out a small piece of talisman paper covered in inscriptions from her ring and gently pressed it onto her forehead. Moments later, the paper shone with a green light before finally turning into motes of light which slowly faded away.
“A low-grade message talisman? Are you not worrying too much?” Said Bahram as he neared her.
Shaking her head, Esfir spoke, “I might be, but I would rather be too cautious rather than allowing them to get hurt.” As she said that, she continued to worriedly look towards where her children disappeared.
Located at the foot of the three Aasmany Clan’s mountains, there stood a city called Stellar City. It was said that the Aasmany Clan existed since the founding days of Stellar City, yet it was also said that the clan existed long before the city was built. If a person of enough authority bothered to look into such information, they might be able to find out the truth. But who would bother to waste such resources simply for looking into the history of a clan which only has control over a middle grade city?

Currently, within a certain building of Stellar City, a bright light flashed for an instant before quickly disappearing, revealing a pair of girls and a single boy standing atop a platform.
“Make sure to never leave my side while we are in the streets.” Said Behnam as he looked at Yvette and Daiyu.
Then, without waiting for an answer, he stepped down from the platform before glancing back to see the pair of girls who followed suit. Seeing this, he discarded the worry within his heart and continued to lead the pair away.
Outside the building, the street was desolate with few people dotting the streets. Even then, those people are mostly composed of guards and workers.
But after walking through a few streets, Yvette noticed how the amount of people around them gradually increased.
“The teleportation array is located within the private lands of the clan which is only accessible by the clan members or by people with status.” Explained Behnam while continuing to lead them through the streets.
After a few minutes of walking through the bustling streets, the group finally arrived before a white pagoda that has a golden plaque with the words ‘Vocation Union Branch’ engraved with a lofty font onto it, placed right atop the entrance of the pagoda, giving off an air of pride. Next to the entrance, a pair of men could be seen standing guard with a careless expression. Giving a contrasting feeling compared to the plaque.
As the group neared, the pair of guards threw a casual glance at the group. Yet when Yvette felt the eyes of the guards upon her, a feeling of being thoroughly examined overwhelmed her. Fortunately, the feeling did not last long as the guards soon stopped bothering with them after noticing that they seem to bore no ill intent.
Entering the pagoda, the first thing that came into view is a few reception desks with four doors with the height of two men right behind it. After a quick examination, Yvette noticed that there seemed to be no stairs leading to the higher floors.
As the three arrived before a reception desk, the woman who stood behind the desk professionally smiled at them and greeted, “What may I do for you three?”
Even though the three before her are quite young, she did not look down on them as she has already experienced her own set of experience of meeting the young masters of various clans. Just from a single look, she was able to roughly determine the identities of the three before her.
From the golden hair and sky blue eyes of the boy in the lead, she could recognize him as someone from the Aasmany Clan who holds control over Stellar City where they currently reside, and from the luster of his hair and eyes, she guessed that the boy must have quite a high position within the clan.
As for the two girls who are with him, even though one of them has the characterized silver hair of Aasmany Clan’s females, she did not have the ocean blue eyes usually owned by them. Not only that, she also has a pair of fox ears and a slightly hidden fox tail, proving herself as someone non-human. In the end, the closest answer she could reach would be that she is a friend of the boy in lead. But even then, she would not lightly look down upon the girl. As from what the receptionist could determine, the last girl with raven black hair and uncommon violet eyes is a trained servant of the silver haired fox girl.
Knowing so, the receptionist woman tried to make her smile friendlier, in hopes to at least be able to keep out of trouble. But to her surprise, the boy in lead was not the one to answer her inquiry. Instead, the silver haired fox girl was the one to step forward and spoke, “I wish to take a beginner formationist and inscriber examination.” Then, without waiting for a reaction, Yvette handed the medallion which Nastaran gave her to the receptionist.
Unconsciously, the receptionist stretched out her hand and took the medallion from Yvette. But she quickly sobered up, a prove of her trained self, and looked down towards the medallion on her hand. After a quick glance, her expression changed as she infused Qi from her hand into the medallion. Then, a small projection of a white pagoda which looked just like the Vocation Union branch building appeared from the medallion. But above the projected pagoda, an image of a brush and a six-pronged star appeared, each surrounded by three stars while above them was written Nastaran’s name.
Seeing this, an astonished look flashed by the receptionist’s face before quickly disappearing as she tried to keep a calm expression while retracting her Qi from within the medallion. But even then, the way she carefully, or even respectfully, returned the medallion to Yvette already showed the change within her heart.
“Please wait a moment, I will start the preparation for your examination.” After saying those words, the receptionist quickly put up an ‘away’ plaque atop the table and hurriedly left for a door at the back of the building.
Seeing her in a rush, confusion filled Yvette’s mind. But guessing that she would receive an answer to her questions later, she decided to quietly wait.
Moments later, the receptionist woman returned with a pair of elderly men who kept on glancing around as they moved.
This time, the woman did not go to the back of her desk, instead, she moved towards the group and spoke, “These two elders are the examiners who will be in charge of your examination.” Saying that, she stood at the side and made way for the two elders.
As the two arrived before the group, they examined the three carefully one by one, each time leaving them with an uncomfortable sensation of being an open book.
At that time, the surrounding people noticed the appearance of the two elders, some were confused, while others had a look of astonishment. Yet none dared to step forward to inquire, only spectating at the side.
When they finished, the pair’s gazes both landed onto Yvette. Reflexively, she also looked up towards the pair of elderlies. As her gaze met with two’s, silence loomed around them. Neither side were willing to speak up, and none of the people at the side were willing to bother them.
Then, after who knows how long, one of the elders’ body suddenly trembled before he laughed uproariously, startling the surrounding people.
“Still so young yet has such an amazing mental strength. Even I had not reached such a level at that age!” Said the elder who laughed as he continued to look at Yvette.
“Ferhus, I would appreciate it if you could just stop acting so embarrassingly.”
Saying that, the other elder held the shoulder of the elder who referred to as Ferhus.
“Hah! Already so old yet still as stiff as ever.” Ignoring Ferhus’s words, the other elder approached Yvette and courteously spoke.
“My name is Hefas, head of the Vocation Union inscriber branch, may I ask for your identity, young lady?”
“Yvette Aasmany of the Aasmany Clan.”
Confirming her identity, Hefas nodded, “Follow me, I will have you be tested as an official inscriber. You may leave your friends here; I will make sure that they are treated well.” He said before turning around and walking away with Ferhus.
Seeing this, Yvette turned towards Daiyu and Behnam, who both simply nodded in reassurance, before finally following behind the two elders into a door which closed soon after she entered.
