Adeon a.k.a. Adeon'Indar Solarin-brother to Ciara, estimated at mid-Disciple advancement.

arcane essence - one of the two essence types. It is wild and chaotic in nature but carries more raw power than Celestial Essence

Blacksmith Guild - one of the three Supreme Guilds. Stands at the zenith of power and influence in Ildara and most of Ga'el.

celestial essence - one of the two essence types. It is less potent and powerful than its counterpart but easier to mold and shape.

Celestial Forge - a phenomenon that splits the skies of Ga'el stretching from horizon to horizon like a prismatic ribbon.

celestial rain - may also be known as celestial ore, ore essence, manna, heavenly shards, heavenly manna etc. It falls from the skies. The shards that fall contain a mix of celestial essence, arcane essence and impure essence (cinder) to varying degrees of size, purity, and mix.

Ciara a.k.a Ciara'Indar Solarin - sister to Adeon. estimated at mid-Disciple advancement.

cinder a.k.a. impure essence - impurites within celestial rain and essence. Typically cannot be assimilated by a forger.

core-formed item - any machine, tool, weapon or item that utilizes a core to power a specific function.

dreg - the lowest value rendings. High in cinder, very poor essence purity.

Flame of Webs - an Eternal Flame harnessed by Ciara.

Forger - essence user in the world of Ga'el.

Ga’el - The world where the Celestial Forge takes place and Schin resides in.

Grandfather a.k.a. Shu Jian - other titles include The Warden of Death, the Herald of Shadows Flame and First of the Impure Knights, Jian Blightbringer. An ancient forger. Schin's loving grandfather whom he grew up with.

Great Celestial Rain - the very first time celestial rain (heavenly manna) fell from the skies like meteors. The amount of Celestial Rain that fell was far beyond what falls currently.

Heavenly Magus Wars- wars that followed the first Celestial Rain, the Great Celestial Rain, between nations, guilds, sects. Marked a new era in Ga'el.

Ildara- one of the five major continents of Ga'el. Where Schin grows up and where the Unending Waste is located.

Jaspen - a continent across the Tilted Sea from Ildara.

Jun-Dok - a martial art Grandfather founded and taught to Schin.

Merchants Guild - one of the three Supreme Guilds. Stands at the zenith of power and influence in Ildara and most of Ga'el. Founded following the Great Celestial Rain. Have a monopoly on production and regulation of Rendings.

Minor Rain - the normal, less active celestial rain fall that is perpetually occurring across all of Ga'el

Moonseeker - old friend of grandfathers. Among those who came for grandfather in the Undending Wastes. One of the Ascended.

Natural Flame - typically not even considered an Eternal Flame. This is a internal flame a Forger is able to ignite and cultivate through marital advancement.

Order of the Arcane - an Order within Ga'el. A High Judge within the Order was among those who came for grandfather.

Rending(s)- currency in Ildara. Celestial Rain that has been partially refined into uniform pieces of varying size and quality. Can also be consumed by a Forger like all Celestial Rain.

Seekers Guild - one of the three Supreme Guilds. Stands at the zenith of power and influence in Ildara and most of Ga'el. Founded following the Great Celestial Rain, their role evolved and grew to encompass nearly any exploratory or adventuring task

Sho-Har - One of The Seven. A friend of Schin who has compiled writings from the current age.

skiff - core-formed vehicle. Virtually always connected with the Seekers Guild.

soul-forging - external use or technique of forging essence

spell-forging - internal use or technique of forging essence

Thei'esolla - knew grandfather before his self-imposed exile. Had been searching for him. One of the Ascended.

Titled Sea - waters off the South Eastern shores of Ildara between the continents of Jaspen and Ildara.

Unending Waste - an area removed from civilization on the continent of Ildara. Extremely vast, mostly uninhabitable and home to many dangerous beasts.
