Only the crackling of flames and the wailing of an infant could be heard throughout the village. Broken bodies and debris filled the narrow streets and brilliant blue flames greedily devoured anything that they touched. The baby felt no pain, but the loud noise and confusing event that had occurred had provoked it to cry.
The baby was right in the middle of a huge crater and it looked like he had fallen from heaven itself. Anything that was in the zone of the crater was immediately vaporized and turned into nothing more than a blanket of ash that he baby was lying on. The village was completely and utterly destroyed, and there was no hope for survivors.
Although it seemed that all hope was lost for the child, the massive walls of blue flames kept anything from harming him. After two days of crying, the baby finally collapsed. Its throat was too dry to even make a sound, and ash and soot dirtied his beautiful face and hair. Miraculously, his lungs were rather clean considering he had practically been in a bath of dirt and falling ash for the past few days.
After the first day, it had rained. Having devoured mostly everything due to the advanced heat, the fire quickly ran out of fuel. The fresh rain clung to the grass and prevented the fire from spreading even further. Soon afterward the fire died out.

On the second day, the bushes outside of the village rustled, and a man slowly stepped out. The man was tall and skinny, and on each side of his head was a set of long pointed ears. Taking in his surroundings, he was shocked beyond belief. Just three days ago there had been an entire village here. Although the village was not very wealthy or important, it had a decent population of three hundred people. His own village had traded with them multiple times and they got along rather well. The people of the destroyed village only took what they needed from nature, nothing more, and the man respected them for that.
Although such a village existed three days ago, the only thing here now was black and scarred lands. The green grass slowly became brown as he approached the ‘would be’ edges of the village. That brown grass quickly became black ash. As he slowly and cautiously approached the crater, the men gasped in surprise.
In the center of the crater, he discovered the baby boy.
