In this world, power is everything. The weak will fall and the brawns will reign. The time is here. This is the shift in the matrix. We're your ranks separate the poor from the rich and the weak from the strong.
30 years ago a mysterious creature attacked the earth causing humanity to reduce in numbers, accusations and controversy began when the rich accused the poor for arranging this attack. 15 years went by as Time felt like it was going faster as the days' progress. People grew old and weary from the constant wasting of their life's and some were simply grateful for what they had left.
A very hostile man was eager to change the world and turn it into a place of his own. Vindictive thoughts swarm his mind and new orders of the world were made when the earth was divided into two The rich and The Poor.
A youthful boy runs through the darkened city. The small piece of land they lived on was filled with slum ruins from the past city of Ishmael. The young boy climbed the tallest tree he could find. After a few minutes, the young boy made his way to the top of the tree, where he had a view of the walls he could never get his hands to reach. The same walls that separated their kind from having peace, the same walls that's keeps them in captivity, the same walls that prevent him from being a hunter. Those were the walls that divide the poor and the helpless from the rich and powerful.
A strong breeze blew across the young boy's face as his messy scarlet hair beings dancing in the wind. The boy's scarlet eyes lighted up when he heard a familiar voice below him. The silhouette of an older woman's Body became more recognizable when she seeped into the light. The silky white dress caught his attention as her scarlet hair ruffled across her fair skin. Her scarlet eyes looked up at the boy as a smile came across her face. "YOUTA!!!!" she shouted repeatedly for three times. "COME DOWN FROM THERE, DINNER IS READY!" she shouted once more the young boy scuffled to come down.
As Youta was climbing down, he looked down at the lady and shouted a response. "I WILL BE DOWN SOON MOM!" He finally made his way down from the tree as his mother waited on him patiently until he was fully on the ground. He held out his hands to his mother as she took his hand gently as a smile came across both of their faces.
"one day Ill make it out of here mom... and I will make it out and become a hunter, and when that's settled I'll protect this place with my life. "that's sweet hunny but who's gonna protect our dinners from the evil man?" she said with curiosity. "What evil man?" I questioned in confusion. "he's name is...the COLD!" She busted out laughing as I joined her in our laughing session. "That's a good one," Youta said as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Come on, let go inside quickly." She said as or pace went faster.
[Home]
"You found him." A man said as he dug into his heavy plate of food.
"Yea, and guess where?" The mother questioned.
"uhhh outside." The man said with an filled mouth.
"No, he was in the tree." She said as she placed a plate in front of Youta with his utensils on the side. "don't I always tell you not to climb so high up? What if you have gotten hurt?" she complained as she poured him a glass of water and placed it on the table in front of him.
"I'm fine mom." young Youta stated.
"yea honey, you heard the man, leave the boy alone...let him climb."
Youta was finishing up his dinner when he realized his mother was staring in the fridge. "What is it, mom?" Young Youta questioned his mother with a confused look on his face. "we're all out of rice." she said as she smacked her teeth in disappointment.
"I'm gonna have to get more from the store." She said as she reached for her old bag that was in the other room. "I'll be right back hun." as she was walking out the door, Youta grabbed her by her bag handle.
The dry rotten paint from the bag came off in his hands. "don't worry mom I'll go, you've been working all day." young Youta said as he wiped the paint particles into his worn out shorts.
He got up excitedly as he skipped through the door, holding his mom's bag in his hands. "hun BE CAREFUL!" she shouted as she held the door frame. "I will, mom!" Young Youta replied back. As his mother watched her son running in the distance, slowly being engulfed by the darkness.
Young Youta walked on the dried up concrete as he stumbled across piles of junk that were scattered across the city. "darn trash!" He said angrily to his self as he caught his balance back.
The young boy's brain began to wonder as he walked the lonely street at night. He couldn't help but think about the huge walls he could see from a mile away and how it had so much power over them, and curiosity floods his mind. "how come no man has ever stepped a foot in the inside of the walls? Not only that, neither had none of our people ever to exist becomes a hunter." Youta Said to himself.
"it's clear it never been done before and that's why... that's why I'll have to be the first!" He shouted In excitement as the crows above him scattered due to the sudden noise.
"Pathetic way to think," a rusted voice muttered from an abandoned store next to Youta. Young Youta stopped in his pace as his body ran cold. "Have you ever heard the saying that... curiosity killed the cat?" The silhouette of the man speaking was unclear. The only thing Youta could see was his blonde hair, and the sound of the sickly coughs that followed behind him.

" Who are you?" Youta asked as he turned his direction completely to the man. "I'm a man that bit of more than he could chew" he replied As he stretched out his hands to young Youta through the shop, signaling him to come closer.
Young Youta abide by his request and walked towards the silhouette that's was lying on the ground. The closer he got, the more clearly the image in front of him was. He walked closer to the point there was a 5 feet distant. The man who looked in his 40s had wrinkles and bags heavily on his face, his hair was ashy blonde and he's eyes were as blue as the morning sky, he had on a familiar uniform but young Youta couldn't but his finger on it.
"Why does this uniform look so familiar? I haven't seen anything like it before, "Youta thought to himself. As Youta's eyes trailed down to the man, he saw that he was bleeding on his left side, and that he was in serious detriment. The moment Youta realized, he dropped his mother's bag and rushed over to the injured man.
"Sir, are you okay?" Youta said as he went on his knees beside the man. The man held his right hand over his left side as he released a sigh. "I'm fine, kid," he replied. "No, you're not, sir."
Youta went to grab the man when he suddenly used his right hands to flash Youta off of him. The moment he lifted his hand, blood started flowing from his side like a running stream. "just leave me alone kid and go home. Here is not safe for you. That's the reason why I called you, over" the man said as he stared pitifully at Youta.
"I'm not leaving you here alone," Youta said as he sat next to the man. Silence took over the room." You said my way of thinking is pathetic, and that my curiosity killed the cat...what does that mean?"
The man stared at Youta, surprised by his actions. "I-I said those things...cause you're foolish to think that someone like you could be a hunter. I know for a fact that no one takes you seriously...you think it's easy, well it's not. And even if it's possible, I highly doubt you're the one percent that can make it," the man said as he looked down at the ground.
Youta, eyes welded with such discouraging words, he looked down, ashamed. That's when Young Youta spotted something on the man's hand, when he realized the tattoo on the man's arm, Youta eyes widened by the sight "you have a THOUSAND RANKING SCORE!" Youta shouted in excitement and suddenly he wasn't sad anymore.
The man couldn't help but chuckle by his amusement towards him. "You must be a hunter... that's why your uniform looks so familiar, but you're not from this base, are you?" Youta questioned the bleeding man.
"No, I'm not from around here. I was sent to investigate something over those walls and as you can see, it didn't go well," the man said as beads of sweat escape the man's forehead. "You jumped the walls, so it is possible for me to go," Youta said to himself, when a loud cough brought his attention back to the man.
Youta watched as blood leaked from his mouth and onto the pavement. "Sir, are you sure you're alright? Worried, Youta asked. "I'm f-fine" another silence filled the room until the man broke the silence. You don't wanna be a hunter, son... trust me," the man said sadly.
"Your wrong," the man lifted his head and looked at the small frame standing in front of him. "I know its difficult but life isn't easy, I spent my life serving and protecting everyone from WMC, I served my time protecting the poor and rich and even though I'm glad I did it, I still regret most of my decisions, like now...not getting to see my kids again, all because of this DAMN JOB!" The man started maniacally laughing as his laughter slowly transitioned to tears.
"HAaaAa, IM SOORY.!!, ITS JUST FUNNY HOW LIFE IS, THE ONE DAY I WON'T RETURN IS THE DAY WHEN I GOT IN A FIGHT WITH MY FAMILY!" Youta stand and watched the weeping man shouting and crying as he poured out all his sorrows on the ground.
"You made a mistake." Hearing the sound of Youta's voice, the man stopped crying and looked up at him. "We all make mistakes, we're human after all...my reasons for becoming a hunter are similar to yours... but you forgot a main piece...passion, my passion to become a hunter is what gonna make me be one, and I know you think I won't make it but I will, I have to for my family and for my city...you wouldn't understand how we over here lived, so you wouldn't know how I feel...how I feel strongly for this opportunity, so even if I should have failed I won't complain I'll just get up back... so mister GET UP!" Youta passionately spoke as the man looked at him in awe.
"Who's kid is this? He really is... extraordinary," the man said in his head. "Okay kid... I- "A loud screeching sound appeared suddenly. "SHIT! he's back," the man cursed as he struggled to stand up." I gotta get you out of here, grab, climb on my back," the man insisted.
"W-what's happening a-a-and you're hurt." before Youta could move, the man held him by his legs and throw him on his back. "aaah!" The man grunted in pain as he's started running. Youta saw the blood trail that followed them as he continued moving.
"ROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!!!!!!!!!"
