It's night. The clock is ticking on around 7:03pm. Alone in this dim room, a teenage is holding a helmet with cable linking to the console above the disk. He sits.
I wonder if this is safe. I should have brought my pal to help on this. He lent it to me in the first place. I remember he told me-
"Man! The game is so good! Everything was so real. I was like, I was on a different world. So, I bought another console and harddrive for you," my pal said. "I can't wait to see you in game. Work hard and get stonger quick."
I replied, "I haven't agree yet. Beside, I'm not that good on realtime game."
"You worry nothing," he assured as he slightly slammed his hand and hold my shoulder. "What matter is having fun. I'll be waiting for you in the twentieth floor, alright?"
Telling that to me with a bright smile. Sus... It's nice to be rich. I wonder if I'll be alright. The teenage places his finger onto the green light start button on the console. He wears the helmet and then he pushes the start button. Bright light covers allover his view and the surrounding changes to an astonishing sight.
A new- an amazing place...
Message Panel: You're randomly sent somewhere on Verdie grassy plain.
The teanage gawks at the beautiful sight. He feels the fresh wind breeze crosses on his body. The tweeters of sparrows soaring in the sky capture his eyes.
Am I, in, a different world?
Message Panel: Welcome to Adventurer's Infinity. Explore the vast world. Discover treasures. Solve mysteries. Fight for honor. And choose your freedom to enjoy this wonderful fantasy.
Warning, this game is highly addictive. Please play moderately.
Message Panel: Before we begin. Below is the list of the classes that a character can master, atleast one. Please choose wisely. You can only have one character per account per device number. And once you agree with the class, there is no turning back.
Whoa, that's plenty of basic classes, has thought by the teenage boy. Since this isn't turn based... I might not be able to play close combat. I'm no good on magic either. I remember what my pal said, it requires physical body force to fight using sword and good memory for casting a spell. That's suck. I can't become a warrior or assassin or a mage. Oh, there's a necromancer... But.. thinking about it. Those skeletons and zombies might become my nightmare. There's a tamer also. Shit... Imagining about it, there's no way I'm going - face to face - taming fierce monster. Haha... Haha, ha. There's also a Summoner. Isn't Necromancer a summoner? There's also a Strategiest. I'm not even that smart for this Class. A lot of class to choose but I need someone who can aid me, on battle. Someone that I , hmm... Isn't summoner the best choice? I got a bright idea.
Message Box: Will you enter the world as a Summoner?
Of course yes.
Message Panel: Next step is your ingame name.
The name should be~ fu... I think, anyone won't probably like it. Should be handsome? huh huh huh... No no no... I'm not even good looking to begin with. I wonder, if after this, my character is a girl or boy. I guess, Aren Nuella then. Either it is a boy or girl, I combined both gender related name.
Message Panel: Name Aren Nuella. Class Summoner. Age 17. Gender Male. Body built, Slim.
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
The hell, it got my age, my gender, and my body built correct.
Message Panel: Think or speak the word UI and a panel will appear and float in front of you. It will be visible only to its user. Good luck to your journey.
Character creation really takes time...
The teenager speaks, "UI." And a panel appears. So, this is my basic status. Funny. My str, agi, dex, vit, int, they are all 0. And I have 5 free points to allocate.
Of course my lv is 1. Tho, my HP and MP are displayed in percentage. And, no matter how much I click on it. It wont change to its actual number. I should go over on my skills then.
So, there's a level on my Class Mastery. And I only have one skill, Summon. Damn... This sucks.
Skill description: Summon the very first available companion.
Selective Summon requires chanting the unit's name after the keyword "Summon."
The unit will appear on a certain duration.
This is treated as first summon. And there can only be one unit of first summon at a time. You can have more selection of units by making pacts on other living entity.
"Summon," has spoken by Aren as he points his palm forward. Different light particles fuse together. It results to a round slime on a three feet cube length.
Message Panel: Give name to a slime?
I guess, so... Moe. Aren pushes confirmation button and then he opens the slime's status panel. What the, It took almost half of my hp to summon. Same goes on my mp.
This guy also has only one third current hp and one fourth current mp. What a compensation we have there?
Tho, this guy has two skills, one passive and an active one. Better than me who only has one. Sucks. Tho unlike this status panel, on my status panel there is Blessing I and Blessing II. However it will only be reveal on lv50 and 70. Yet, it tells there that the unknown passives are currently in effect. I wonder what it means.
Alright, this guy skill Body Slam deals greater damage with vit. I'm gonna allocate his status there. Maybe it inherits my vit status too. I should allocate mine to vit also.
I should be durable by this. I don't care if I'm in a wrong build. Hahhahhahhah.
Time to test my Slime. Tho, I feel like a monster master on a certain pocket monster story. Kinda cool!
There are many slime, on this field. He points his finger to a slime. "Moe, Body Slam!" Oh, that deals a good damage. It reduces our opponent's hp bar to 80 percent. "Body Slam, again Moe!" Shoot, my slime didn't move. What happens? Oh, empty, he has empty mana bar! What the-, "Dodge, Moe!" It didn't even react! It's gonna die. Seeing the wild slime's Body Slam lands to his slime, he notices Moe's hp bar didn't budge down. He thinks, Easy. "Let's attack it, Moe!"
After several times attacking, "It's finally died. Hue hue hue, good job moe." *Pop* his slime disappears. "That was quick! And my mana isn't enough to summon again. Sigh, I probably need to idle to recover."
System Notification:
Congratulations! Your Class Mastery level raised to two.
Congratulations! You learn the skill Companion.
What a delay... He mumbles, "UI." So, killing one slime only gives 10 percent of exp. My pal told me, it was easy to level up. Just 3 mobs are enough per level. But in my estimate it requires ten slime to reach my next level. I'm sad. Tho the new skill is good.
Skill discription: Summon keyword Companion. Always threated as first summon. The unit's appearance doesn't have duration.
Which means, I'm not gonna summon Moe from time to time now? Nice new skill.
I just need to rest a bit, my mana nearly enough to summon Moe again. Then, gonna grind up to three levels and I'll sleep after this. I'm pretty sure the higher Moe's level is, the more we can spam its skill Body Slam.
*Ting tong* sounds by the bell as it marks the arrival of noon. Students are off to find place for lunch. On the cafeteria, while Jamer gnaws his food, he also speaks to Menrel, "Our teacher is a bit salty today. It's not like we didn't study. The point is, we don't understand those formulas and their explanation at all. How dare him that he compared us to Lani and Mia?"
"Nah, don't mind him," replies by Menrel. He then digs his spoon to his food, and he delivers it to his mouth. "He's just worried about us on this upcoming national exam. You know, our perfect attendance isn't leeway on this to pass."
Jamer sighs. Among the noice in the cafeteria, he hears a conversation from another group of students, "Believe me. It was an awesome teamwork. Our tank taunted the boss. Our healer was focused on healing at him and buffing our other teammates. Our strategiest then kept debuffing the boss and the one to command when our archer to snipe. And it only took one shot to burst the boss down. Easy leveling! You should have come along with us." Jamer then notices Menrel whispers at him,
"So how's the game?"
"Pretty awesome pal. As if I was on another world. Tho, I don't know if I choosed the right Class."
"Don't mind the class. What matter is you enjoy the game. Later, you will discover how to play on it."
"You have point."
"So, how is your level?"
"Three."
"Whaaat!?"
"It can't be helped. I tried my best to level. But unlike what you said, it took me thrice or four times the quantity to reach level three." Also, I have to rest. I can't absorb too much info at a time.
"What class have you chosen by the way?"
"Summoner."
"That would be possible. I heard that Summoner Class and the likes earn little exp than the rest."
"So, bad class right?"
"Nah, you can do it. Our current top player is a Necromancer. In anycase, I'll be waiting on you at floor twenty. We've been camping there for fun. My ingame name is Misty Storm an assassin. How about yours?"
"Aren Nuella."
"What a Gay~" then Menrel laughs.
"Shut it."
Tho. I think I should be rounding up my schedule for this. I kinda like the game. And I can't wait to play with my pal. Gotta master this game quick.
