As Hideyoshi held the card in his hand, a warm feeling enshrouded him.
"This feels like... [Home]?"
Placing [Volcanic Emporer] onto the table, Hideyoshi looked through his card list before sighing.
"Right, I need more cards. I already have a theme, too."
Putting [Volcanic Emporer] back into his inventory, Hideyoshi quickly changed into a simple t-shirt, jeans, and a jacket before finding a card binder and taking out rare cards from his [Inventory].
"I have no need for these cards, so might as well sell them."
Putting the binder in a backpack he shook empty, Hideyoshi put it on before getting to the front door.
"Well, here we go!"
As Hideyoshi opened the door, he grimaced as the sunlight hit him, and his eyes grew in shock.
"Oh. Oh wow."
What was once a quiet little area was now a noisy street, with people walking down the sidewalk. Children were laughing as adults chattered. Usually, Hideyoshi wouldn't be shocked, but the conversations he overheard made him grin.
"Mom! I want to go see the [Battle City] tournament again!"
"I'll trade you my [Petit Moth] for your [Man-Eater Bug]!"
"This is my win! Go, [Beaver Warrior]!"
Locking the front door, Hideyoshi ran down the stairs before arriving at the sidewalk he had just seen. Walking down the road, he stared at the different stores and restaurants around him. Eventually, he arrived at a tall clock surrounded by buildings.
"This...seems familiar."
As he walked down towards a different street, he started looking for a card shop. It wasn't long before he saw a very familiar one.

As Hideyoshi got close to the door, a teenager burst out, running.
"Thanks for the booster packs, sucker!"
'A robber? Shoot, what do I do?'
Hideyoshi, narrowing his eyes, immediately jammed his foot out.
"Argh!"
Hitting the floor, a bunch of booster packs slid out of the teen's arms. Thinking quickly, Hideyoshi swiped all the packs, before putting them into his jacket pocket.
"There you are, you thief!"
An old man soon came out of the shop, a broom in hand.
"Don't worry sir. I got him." Hideyoshi pointed toward the collapsed teen. "I have your stolen packs as well."
Panting slightly, the old man approached the robber, before pulling out his phone.
"Thank you, young man. Just let me call the cops-"
"Wait!"
The robber, who was slowly getting up, immediately put his hands up.
"Please don't call the cops! My mom is going to kill me!" The teen was visibly pale, shivering. "I won't do it again! I promise!"
'What? That doesn't make any sense! How can anyone trust those obviously fake words?'
"Hmm, are you sure?" The old man slowly put the phone down. Hideyoshi simply stared in shock.
'He believed that?!'
"Yes!" The teen rapidly nodded his head.
"Let's see... You did apologize, however, stealing is still a crime. Let's do this then!"
The old man pointed at Hideyoshi, whose eyes slightly widened.
"Beat this young man in a [Duel], and I shall let you off scot-free. However, if he wins, I shall call the police!"
'...What?'

"So your name is Hideyoshi?" The old man laughed as the three entered the [Kame Game] once again. "My name is Solomon Muto! I apologize for making you do this, but this boy must learn his lesson."
"How does playing a card game- Never mind." Hideyoshi shook his head. "Mr. Muto, I hate to tell you this, but I don't even have a Deck."

The teen, whose name turned out to be Issei, quickly pulled out his deck, before placing it on the table in front of them.
"Is that so? Then quickly pull out those packs in your jacket."
Hideyoshi reached into his pocket, before pulling out 5 booster packs.
"Open those up and use them to make a deck."
"What?!" Hideyoshi and Issei yelled at the same time, turning to look at each other, before looking back at Solomon.
"Why does he get to open them?" Issei whined out loud, causing Solomon to turn to look at him.
For a while, it was silent, as the pressure suddenly grew. Hideyoshi gulped, before remembering who Solomon Muto was.
A tomb raider. A reincarnation. A retired champion. He may have been old and silly, but this man faced death in the eyes with a grin.
"Remember, Issei, the cops are not here because I have not called them. These are my packs, and I get to choose what to do with them."
Issei nodded his head quickly, his face pale once again. Just like that, the pressure disappeared. Solomon quickly turned to Hideyoshi, a smile on his face.
"Great! Hideyoshi, you do know how to play [Duel Monsters], correct?"
"Yes, I know the rules like the back of my hand."
"Then open those packs up and get ready to duel!"
As Hideyoshi opened up the packs, he stared at them, grimacing slightly, before picking out cards and creating a deck.
"Are both sides ready? Great!"
"I'm gonna win and the cops will never come!"

"I'll go first! I summon [Darkworld Thorns] in attack position!" Issei slapped a card down on the table. "I end my turn!"

"T-set? What's that?" Solomon stroked his beard, staring at the move Hideyoshi just pulled.
"T-set? It's when I play a monster face-down defense position and play a card face-down. Since it looks like a T, it's called a T-set!"
Solomon looked intrigued. "Oho! I have never heard of this term, but it fits quite nicely!"
"My turn! I draw!" Issei interrupted the conversation by pulling a card off his deck, before staring at his hand. "I summon [Armored Starfish]! in attack mode!"

Issei looked towards Hideyoshi but suddenly faltered. A look of fear flashed across his face as he stared at Hideyoshi. His face was blank, almost emotionless.
