Call to Arm
Prologue

Prologue

Doors open to Elven Men in line behind one another. Entering the chapel a single man is awaiting them in his Throne. The Elven forms a line parallel to the seat facing him.

"Why did you summon all of us in this place, Pope?" Questioned one of the men directly across of the pope. "You don't usually have us together all at once unless the world is at risk or.."

"A god is dead!" Yelled The Pope. In a rage, he slammed his fist down breaking off a chunk of the throne's armrest. Standing up he leisurely walked down the steps towards the group saying, "This hasn't happened in over 10,000 years, then 1 hour ago my ring turned black meaning one thing. A God Is Dead. And seeing the only one who isn't here is "Godspeed" Now we know." The Pope stands directly In front of them with a menacing look on his face. "which one of you did it?" He looks from his right to left glancing at all of them and not one word was spoken. "The only one strong enough to kill Godspeed is standing here in this room. And as we all know Gods can't die of natural causes." A lingering feeling of Gloom was in the room like a cloud overhead that only brought discomfort. "Well, then, when I find out who did this I will strip them of their weapons and send them back to the earth to spend their days rotting with those animals, Dismissed."

Leaving, outside the Chapel hall, five of the elven God's disburse leaving after images while five talks amongst each other and the other one stays at the facility focusing on what looked like a break in a statue of the pope.

The God was fully geared in bright white armor from head to toe. His gold trimming corresponded with the light, shining, piercing to the eye. His helmet had 5 spikes coming off the top of the head and on the lower region of the helmet was cut off looking more like a mask. There was a design on the backplate of the Pope's Insignia which was a Phoenix holding the Pope's holy weapon, "The Cross."

"Creed!" One of the men in the group called out. He had glowing blonde hair with a platinum crown atop his head that was bejeweled with sapphire and diamonds. Creed glanced not responding, going back to what he was doing. He went around to the other side of the statue forcefully breaking off a piece of the statue's leg. "Hey, Creed!" The God said yelling, rushing towards Creed he reaches for his arm. Creed Outmatched his speed briskly moving his arm out of the man's grasp. The God seemed to be in shock that Creed was able to move so quickly. His arms stayed reaching out, paused where he was extended.

Another God in the group walked up to the statue. The Man was very tall standing 6'9, and lean. He was a dark-skinned man with luminous, red eyes and had a shaved head. He wore a black cloak, two dark blue earrings dangled from his ears. The God had his elbow positioned on top of a sword handle. The sword itself was just as long as him almost touching the ground from being positioned by his torso.

"Creed what are you doing?" The other God asked.

Creed looked towards the man replying for the first time, " Waiting, DeadBolt."

Something far off in the distance above the gods could be heard flying.  An object could be seen as getting closer and closer. Upon landing the rest of the gods surrounded the statue. " The Guardian," Began reairing the part of the statue Creed fragmented, before taking off back into the sky.

"Explain yourself, Creed," said Deadbolt. " Why bring the robot to clean up your mess?"

"There's a deep cut in the statue as if it was sliced by a blade," Creed explained glancing at Deadbolts sword.

"And? This tells me nothing." Deadbolt stated. "You had made Aka Manha use force." Aka Mahna gave an infuriated look, Leaving, fading away into the light.

“I’m sorry, I just had to know...” Creed said.

"Know what?" said The God directly behind Deadbolt. This man stood out from all in the group because he was completely made of ice. He was smooth no ridges or jagged edges throughout his body. He had all the features of a human; Chest, abdominals, Glutes, etc..

"Yes, stop with the riddles and spit it out!" A God said tempered with his arms crossed. Red almost fiery hair brighten the rest of the God's features as he had pale skin and no accessories. There was no weapon to behold, just the man, unlike the rest.

"Stop, War." The last remaining god in the batch said defending Creed. She had a soft voice and just as Creed was fully armored so was she. A skin-tight, suit but thick armor plating colored purple, and white enveloped here. Her Helmet was smooth and covered her face entirely with no eye-catching features.

“It’s fine Helena,” Creed said sincerely. “I was observing a cut in the statue, A guardian should have repaired the damage by now” Creed explained. “When I broke off a piece it should have also fixed this cut. I was only building on my suspicions.”

“You should have said that from the beginning.” Deadbolt said under his breath.

“It means nothing, Creed,” War stated in his angered tone of voice. “It’s just a cut, It could have been there for centuries.”

Creed replied warily, “No, It couldn’t have. I would’ve seen it.” Before wandering off.

“Where are you going?” Deadbolt suspiciously asked

Creed turned back to them then looking up he saw multiple guardians were flying above intersecting each other as if they were in a rush. “To find Godspeed,” Creed replied.

The Gods became almost dumbfounded from Creed's statement, A shock electrifying the scene and Creed Speeded away leaving a shroud of mysteries behind. Helena flew following Creed. All the Gods Starred Creed down with discriminating eyes.

“Creed,” Helena said shadowing him. “Creed!” Creed kept on his trek not Acknowledging Helena’s existence. Helena almost gave up hope before In the last-ditch effort, she rushed in front of Creed blocking his path.

Creed stopped, avoiding running into here, Saying “What.”

“Where are we going, Mighty One?” Helana Asked.

Creed shook his head, “We’re not going anywhere, I am going to find God Speed.” Creed stepped aside Bolting apart from Helena.

Helena took a deep breath flying, trying to keep up with Creed’s speed confusingly asking “I thought God Speed was dead? The Pope said it himself.”

“He is dead,” Creed explained. “Look up, all the guardians are in a hurry to find something, Meaning they haven’t discovered the body.”

Helena replied, “The pope said…”

“The pope said his ring turned black and that Godspeed is dead nothing else.” Creed increased his speed distancing himself from Helena once again. Helena had to go over the top to stay near Creed’s speed. “The pope was trying to keep the killer on his toes. He didn’t detail much more than that. The pope was withholding information.” Creed abruptly came to a halt as did Helena. Ahead of them Not too far in the distance was a city made of gold. Many Guardians could be seen on the ground and in the sky scanning objects.

“Godspeed’s Domain? Creed we shouldn’t be here.” Helena warned.

“And why’s that?” Creed asked suspiciously

At a certain point, close enough to the barricades to enter the city, a small group of 4 Guardians stopped Creed and Helena. “Halt.” The Guardians scanned both of them. “The One Above All and The Sky Mistress, Are not permitted to be in The Lord of Speeds Domain at this time.”

“Override, prompt 88, Allow us to pass Guardian,” Creed said.

The guardians' robotic eyes flickered, “You are allowed to enter.” It said bowing.

Helena followed behind creed through the barracks and into the city. “I didn’t think you were able to do that without the Pope’s permission,” Helena said questioning Creed's decision.

“We’re coming in and out, He doesn’t need to find out,” Creed explained

Creed leaped from the ground onto a building waving to a guardian to meet with him. Helena gently glided along with the building converging with Creed. “Why are you so interested in Godspeeds' death you’d go so far to go against the Pope.” Creed ignored the question completely, acting as if he didn’t hear the claim.

The Guardian hovered down responding to Creeds signal. This guardian was unlike the rest more elite in some ways; bigger, bulker and had the same insignia of the pope Creed had himself, but on his right side of his chest and much smaller.

“General,” Creed said to the guardian.

“Hello, Creed.” The Guardian said in an un-robotic way, and in more human-like fluency.

Creed asked, “Have you found anything at this time?”

The General Looked down, shaking his head then back up at Creed. “You know I can’t tell you, one of you killed Godspeed.”

Creed looked at Helena asking, “Could you give us some space .” Helena nodded obeying Creed’s wishes gliding back down the building. “You know I had no business in this affair,” Creed stated.

The General replied by saying, “I Don’t know anything.” There was a slight pause, they looked at each other with a sort of animosity, An inkling attached to one another. “Why are you here?” The General questioned. “And I’m gonna ignore the fact that you had to have overridden my guardians.”

Creed replied sincerely, “I’m sorry about that. I’m just trying to find out who killed Godspeed, It’s as simple as that.” Creed tried to analyze The General’s facial expression and body language to get some insight but, nothing, He still was robot he never faltered no matter how sincere anyone was.

“Who was Godspeed to you?” The general interrogated.

Creed knew that The General was trying to gain information, and He obliged by answering Him truthfully, “Another God.”

The General asked a follow-up question, “ Where were you the time of the Murder?” Creed Looked down in shame not responding. The general asked a second time, “Where were you the time of the Murder.”

“On the bridge looking down,” Creed said shamefully.

“The Bridge in between Realms?” The General said stunned. “You know I have to report this to the Pope.”

“I do,” Creed said.

The General said struggling, deliberating with himself, “I… I’m going to regret this. My processing system said No, But my heart says yes.”

“I’m listening,” Creed said

“We’ve found nothing.” The General revealed.

Creed shook his head. “That’s nearly Impossible?” Creed sounded confused. “Have you checked with This domain Angels?”

“The guardians and I swept this place within the hour and are currently doing a second sweep in case we missed something but that’s only a 2.333 percent chance.” The General Described. “ And as for the Angels, they are nowhere to be found.

That’s why the Guardians outside the domain are in such a hurry. Creed thought. And Godspeed’s Angels are gone? What’s going on, I can’t make sense of any of this.

“What was Inside the Palace?” Creed asked. The General didn’t answer instead he shook his head. “Why not answer this question, but answer the Others. Your hiding something, tell me, General.”

“I wanted to keep this confidential, but maybe you could help me wrap my head around it.” The General began to explain, “ I scanned The palace, But couldn’t verify an indent within Godspeeds chamber. My processors should have been able to pick the cut up. The other guardians just walked by the mark, they don’t have the conscious or cognitive thinking as I do, but I've never encountered something like this, so I didn’t think too much.”

It has to be the same mark on the Pope’s statue.

“You should have started with this,” Creed replied frustratedly.

“What does this mean?” The General asked.

Creed turned around looking at the palace in the distance. “Something is going on General I can feel it, something bad.”

“I can re-scan the palace if you think it could…”

Creed fell into deep thought and contemplation blocking out the General voice. Godspeed’s declared dead. Nobody. No account for the last place he was. The angels are missing, and there two marks that might not be related to this investigation.

“So.,” Helena said snapping Creed back to reality. “Have you found anything out?”

“Yes,” Creed said to Helena.

“Really?!” Helena explained excitingly. “What is it?”

Creed Answered Bursting with Importance, “I NEED YOU TO RELAY THIS INFORMATION TO THE POPE IMMEDIATELY.” The General tilted his head in curiosity. “THE ANGEL’S KILLED GODSPEED!”

“Wait, What? that’s Impossible.” Helena said.

Creed then described to Helena, “The General scanned the palace it was thrashed. He found a mixture of the angel’s and Godspeed’s presence. He then reconstructed the scene and events and found out everything.”

“The angels,” Helena said very softly almost as though she was saying it to herself. “Yes. Yes! It all makes sense now.”

“I need you to tell this to the Pope immediately,” Creed said. Helena nodded her head in approval and flew off to relay the message.

The General walked right beside Creed asking, “You Lied.”

Creed replied saying, “Helena wanted to come with me, Why do you think that was.” The General couldn’t answer instead of shrugging his shoulders. “She wanted to keep tabs on me to see what I could find out. If she doesn’t go to the pope with this information, we now have our number one suspect.” Creed walked to the ledge of the building telling the General, “ I want you to go to Deadbolt’s Domain after your done here and scan his weapon.”

“You think he has something to do with this?” The general picked at Creed's thoughts.

“I believe he is the key to all this.”

Creed jumped off the building Speeding off. The General watching creed run off in the distance asked, “Where are you going… and he’s gone.”

Creed Hurried through the forest jumping up on top of the branches of the trees passing from tree to tree. He jumped off the last tree before the whole terrain was cut off and became clouds. He landed on what should have been on the ground replaced by clouds and kept running. Two large black crows flew down Lurking above Creed. Creed took notice of the Crow’s one on his left and the other on his right side. The birds didn’t attack but observed in the birds' pupils reflected Creed.

“Tsk..” Aka Mahna's eyes had the reflection of Creed just as the birds had. He stood up from where he was sitting Telling the two angels sitting beside him, “Don’t tell him I was here.” Before fading into the darkness.
