The cat's out of the bag

We are finally ready to start construction, we first took a short nap since we were all exhausted by the trip and in my case, i now have more things to worry about. This new body of mine need more maintenance and attentions.
I now need to eat, drink, shit, piss and sleep... The body feel exhaustion and need sleep but me (the mana pool) never sleep... So while i let my body sleep i keep just enough mana inside of it, leaking the rest to form a mana body linked via a mana thread and keep myself busy during the night. All the positives are far greater than the negatives.

I can't understand why i feel such a strong need for it but since i took over this body i can't stop myself from touching, and snuggling with Ester. Touching her hairs, her body. Feeling the warmth and softness of her skin is making my mind go blank.
I often absentmindedly end up spending hours braiding her hairs, patting, stroking and caressing her. Ester also started touching my chest, face and hairs more and more often visibly growing fond of my new body. She can't get enough of it.
But now is the time to start the construction of 'New Heaven' and we don't have time to play anymore. So i bring the mana stones the elven king gifted to me and start experimenting with them. Sadly i can't seem to be able to leach mana or the affinities in them.
With Thorodan's help, we identified most of their affinities and i intend to put them to good use. I turn my attention to all the elves and ask them to form a line. I take out a piece of coal, and a dried animal skin. Then each at a time ask them their affinities while writing them all on the piece of skin. Then leach a bit of their mana copying their affinities for myself.
I have so many affinities now.. The ability to form metals, crystals, light producing affinities etc. I then proceed by making a small scale model of what i want the city to look like to which the elves eyes grew big making them go: ' (ﾉﾟοﾟ)ﾉ '.
My vision for New heaven is a city taking in all the architectural knowledge i have gathered throughout all my past lives. Ancient Egyptian architecture, Greek, Roman, Asian, Incan, Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, modern and futuristic. A big mix of Antic-futuristic-fantastic not hesitating to mix everything in a big melting pot.
I want stone modern&medieval looking skyscrapers, but making them out of stone would be unsafe knowing a little earthquake would bring them down. So i will reinforce them with metal rods and have Ester grow giants trees along side them, as if the trees and building were merged together. The trees will hold everything rooted in place.
I start by creating a large canal, then dig hundreds of seemingly bottomless shafts. I then fill them with highly condensed mana that i transform to metal. I know the importance of stable foundations when building such gigantic and heavy constructions.
Then i form giants leveled condensed mana platforms that i change to stone harder than granite acting as bases. Create steps, and ornate stone pathways leading everywhere we need them to. Then we are ready to start creating the buildings themselves.
I rerouted a large river toward the city canal previously dug, making it flow in through the city and out to a big near by lake. Ester is spending all of her mana growing giant trees and wooden constructions everywhere. It is an important part of my vision for this place.
Since it is mostly a city for elves it is important that we feel as if we are in a forest even among all those tall stone buildings. The 'overgrown' look is what i'm going for. Luckily i had accumulated a lot of mana beforehand and my body is also generating a lot, since i am spending it like crazy right now...
I sent a few elves in the nearby forest with Cellphone to collect various plants and edibles to cultivate in big quantities. I also asked them to gather all the plants generating their own light to lighten the city at night... I will have Ester grow them all over the place later.
Building with mana is incredibly fast and nothing feel impossible. The geometries is also a lot easier to perfect and experiment with. Ester is also making some trees grow in shapes that look like Thorodan's head and body. Tree sculptures of my beloved dragon is definitely something i approve of.
With my new 'Metal Gen' affinity i start creating plumbing in all the important spaces transporting water and wastes in and out of the city. I create a big basin where our drinking water will be treated first before entering the city.
I trow a few mana stone charged with a few affinities capable of cleaning the water from any germs, poisons and other harmful elements. I Take an empty mana stone, fill it with my 'mana disruption' affinity then trow it in as well.
This should neutralize any magic based attack on our drinking water. No one excepted me seem to understand why i spend so much effort toward protecting our water source but i remember too many instance of big cities falling to dust following the poisoning of their wells.
I had the elf with the light based affinity fill many mana stones as i intend to use them as light-bulbs. I am happy to see the 45 elves quickly catching on to my vision and ending up adding their own artworks and various aesthetically pleasing touch to it. This is making the city more and more unbelievable to look at even for us who are building it.
I built green houses making sure to boost our food production and with Ester's growth ability we have already started stock pilling the food in giants warehouses. Cellphone brought thousands of interesting plants. From those producing something similar to sugar, to tea and even something a lot like corn from which bread can be made.
I kept all the animal furs we killed to far and stitched them together, making a giant 'bean bag' that i filled with feathers. I'd rather not tell you how many birds i had to kill to fill it all up. This bean bag is big enough for 8 person to lay on.
I intend this to become my and Ester's bed. Our own little love nest. I spent a lot of time preparing our private loft which is including the entirety of the last 5 floors of the highest skyscraper, giving a breath taking view of our city. We also have a private room annexed to our bedroom which is a giant open air roman style bathhouse. It's like bathing outside but on the last floors of a skyscraper giving us privacy. I filled the bath with fire type mana stones making the water permanently steamy.
2 month in and i estimate the city to now have the capacity to house around 350,000 people. But this is only a beginning, i intend for this city to be able to house millions of them. I added a lot of modernity unknowns to this world in the city like water mills, pumps, sewers, induction smelters etc.
We will lead in technology and everything else. The rest of the world wont believe what's coming their way. Next was the throne room, i made it to look like a cathedral big enough to house thousands of my faithful followers as the same time. At the end is a podium with at his center a enormous golden throne made with carvings of dragon heads, skulls and swords.
Behind the throne is an archway big enough for Thorodan to fit through leading to a luxurious, deep underground artificially dug cave for him to sleep in. There's a massive warm water pool and carvings depicting dragons ornate with gold and jewels.

That way during massive gatherings Thorodan will be able to stand behind me and my throne. Appearance are very important and i know how to give a convincing show. Just imagine me sitting higher up on my golden throne with Thorodan 'The black dragon of doom' standing behind me looking at the crowd... Truly awe inspiring.
It as been 3 month now... The first wave of elves should start arriving in two weeks. As i was busy creating intricate carvings on a bridge going across the artificial river crossing through town i felt something familiar...
I immediately recognized this 'mana print'! The one i had felt back then in the village at the same time as the forest guardians... The one that had fled at lightning speed after i tried to catch up to it.
'It has been following us from the forest up to here? And made it here 2 weeks ahead of the others?' (Michael)
Suddenly very interested i turned my gaze toward the direction i could feel the presence from. I silently stared at the nearby forest without moving, in a relaxed manner as to not show anything that could potentially scare him away.

After 30 minutes Ester came by and stopped next to me. She looked at me in silence then turned her gaze in the direction i was staring at. We both stood there staring for a good 10 minutes before she broke the silence.
“Ha! I can feel something! What is it master?” (Ester)
“I, myself am very curious about that, little one.” (Michael)
“Heyyy! Don't call me that!” (Ester) She said while showing a pouting* expression.
“Huhuhuhu” (Michael) I laughed, gave her a warm smile then kissed her forehead.
She looked down while blushing... Then quickly turned toward me, got on her tiptoes and gave me a quick peck on the lips before quickly running away going back to her work.
I am no saint but... (well i used to be... but whatever) what i'm trying to say is that even i, blushed to that... After gaining back my senses i turned to face the 'presence' direction one again. I extended a mana thread all the way to where the presence was hiding from, then made telepathic contact.

{I have no intention of harming you, can't you speak at all?} (Michael)

{Nyaaaa dammit! Is it impossible to avoid your detection??? NYAAaaaaaaaa!} (Nya? CatMan?)
{Not wanting to be detected..? Spy? Enemy?} (Michael) I then started leaking killing intent.
{HOO NOO nononono! NYAaaa! Why would i be God's enemy? I ain't stupid! NYAAaa! It's just that being invisible is my specialty and never have i failed to go unnoticed to anyone before meeting you Nyaaa. My pride don't want to accept it but i keep failing Nyaaa!} (Nya? CatMan?)
{Assassin... then i suppose..} (Michael)
{Hummm nyaaaa.... Yes but not anymore nyaaa i live a peaceful life in this forest with my wife nyaaa. I was just very curious to see you nyaaa.} (Nya? CatMan?)
{Then how about showing some respect and showing yourself. And your name as well would be appreciated.} (Michael)
{[...]My name is Shade Quickpaw... but showing myself, nyaaa i don't know... I am not an elf nyaaa i might regret showing myself.} (Shade)
{Let me guess... Spirit animal? Big cat which evolved to a superior state of existence? Cursed to an animal body? Reincarnated as an animal? Beast man? Or something even more surprising? Whatever i don't care... I am not all about elves, in my kingdom whatever 'what' or 'who' you are, as long as you follow my rules and worship me you are welcome. If you prove your usefulness to me you can even aim at high ranks in our society.” (Michael)

The 'presence' then started approaching at lightning speed giving me goosebumps. Then a black blurry shadow jumped 20 feet high up in the air out of the forest landing a few feet away from me on the handrail of the bridge i was standing on.
There, in front of me, balanced in a crouching position staring a me with his glowing royal blue eyes and black furry body was something i truly wished to come across one day in this world. I remembered Thorodan speaking about them.
They are from different continents far across oceans, so i really wasn't expecting to be meeting one on this human's continent. Beast-men! With lower magical abilities but far greater physical aptitudes. This is the type of body i was looking for at first.
With their superior physical aptitudes and my mana pool i would have been even more powerful than i am now. The one i had in front of me was a superb specimen of 'Black Leopard Beast man'. You can tell he is a male by his long 'saber-tooth' like fangs. (Female don't have them) Beast-Men don't have any human looking body parts, they mostly look like the 'standard animal' with high intelligence and the ability to move on 2 legs.

(Beast-men can't speak human languages other than via telepathy since they don't have lips and basic biological attribute needed for it. They normally uses grunts, growls, roars and basic body gestures to communicate between each others. 'Unlike dragons who almost always uses telepathy.')

Ufff that was a long one for me. (I'll try pushing out another chapter later tonight.) Hope you enjoy and comment! I need your feedbacks to fill loopholes and make a better story in general, so don't hesitate.
