Aurora couldn't help but let out a mad cackle after taking a moment to let the message sink in. Fortuna’s blessing must have had a serious impact on her luck if her wild and last-ditch attack had caused enough damage to kill the chieftain.

Since it was above Lv 75, it was much stronger than the regular gnolls so without a lucky strike hitting something vital she would have had no chance of killing it. Aurora thought about it a bit longer and realised that it was likely the gnoll had bled out or suffered some critical head injury from her strike.

While she revelled in the sudden and unexpected level gain, a sudden realisation hit her which instantly poured cool water all over her joy. After all, what would the nomadic tribe do now that a number of their tribe and their chieftain were killed? While she was unsure what had caused them to go on a rampage in the past, she was almost certain that killing their chieftain would only make the issue far worse.

With the potential attack coming, she quickly thought through all her options on how to resolve this with the least destruction. While she did have plans to prevent the tribe's later attacks, she would need to speed them up somewhat in case the gnolls decided on a preemptive attack while also running her own interference to slow them down.

It would be unlikely they made any moves until morning with the need to deal with the aftermath of her last attack, and with any luck be delayed further while sorting out a new leader. While she was not as knowledgeable as some, she knew that many of the beast-type species followed a strength-based hierarchy, and the hyena like gnolls seemed like no exception since their camp was designed where the strongest tribe members had their tents closer to the centre.

Feeling a little less stressed as she thought the matter through, she opened up the menus and checked her guild’s senior leader's chat that she shared with her close friends along with a selection of other people who worked for Augurium Esports.

[StormBane: Yo, anyone else having to deal with the anime protagonist wanabe’s? Got this guy rollin’ with us who is making sound effects for his sword. Mans all like ‘wosh, wosh, swish, pow’ and all dat. He’s going full crackhead lol]

[Nirvana: Don't worry Tyrell, we can group them all up into a vanguard squad to confuse any enemies before the rest of us can strike. Just imagine the raid on area 51.]

[StormBane: loooool! Deploy the goon squad! Ahah]

[Eagle: While that may be a good idea for some fights Roxanne, I feel the leadership may be seen as bullies if we send out all the protagonists to go soften up our enemies. We will just have to deal with it for now anyway. If they want to get involved with what we are about, then they will fall in line, otherwise they will either remain as affiliated members doing their own thing or leaving.]

[Skidashski: But I thought making sound effects was cool?]

[CinderFlare: I'm with you, just I do it all in my head]

[Skidashski: Lame, you got to be loud and proud!]

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

[Nebustar: Ash, I don't want to hear that from you bro, you literally said nothing for over an hour when we were out a few weeks ago!]

[Cinderflare: ooof XD]

[Ambrose: Could I have someone come to the #New Players channel? Got some people asking questions I can't answer.]

[StormBane: Eagle, your up man]

[Eagle: sigh, I swear Aurora dumped this job on me knowing it would be a pain in the ass.]

[Nirvana: I did say she was dropping everything on Gareth to go play games, what made you think it was any different for us lol.]

[Skidashki: lol, true. Anyway, I'm off for the night, catch you all later]

[StormBane: Night]

[Eagle: See you tomorrow, let me know when to send you the first batch of gathering enthusiasts]

[Nebustar: Night mate]

[Astaria: @Eagle, might need to push up our plans for the gnoll defence.]

[Eagle: Oh for fucks sake. What did you do this time!]

[Astaria: I may have accidentally critically stabbed the lv 78 gnoll chieftain somewhere in his head and caused him to bleed out…]

[Eagle:...]

[Eagle: and that means that…?]

[Astaria: They might be out for blood? They may be delayed through selecting a new chieftain or something, but best to be prepared.]

[StormBane: Broooo, she totally giving you more work ahah. My condolences.]

[DemonicGold: Just let @ALD Munro deal with the organisation. As I understand it he is in charge of the structured military side, right?]

[Eagle: Good point. @ALD Munro, you are up.]

[ALD Munro: I'm here. @Astaria you need us down south ASAP, correct?]

[Astaria: Correct, have anyone lv 10+ bring those of lower level who are willing to participate along with them through the SE border. I will be running interference as best I can, and will keep them delayed till morning. From there I would estimate they will be marching for two days before they reach a habited settlement. The northern area as you can see from the maps I provided is very sparse.]

[ALD Munro: Roger that Ma’am, I will have everyone available start making their way over. We will coordinate with you once across the border. I must say however, I am surprised you are sticking with your brother's plan to bring us into your business venture on Caelus Online. I was surprised to receive a call earlier today confirming there will be no changes.]

[Astaria: Glad to hear it, I will keep you updated. As for the business side of things, all previous arrangements will remain the same, I will visit your London headquarters to discuss further details.]

[ALD Munro: Very well, I shall await for your people to contact me. Unless there is anything else, I shall get to what you are paying us for.]

[Eagle: Yeah, I like Munro the more he speaks, @Astaria we need 10 more of him.]

[StormBane: Damn right, imagine what we would do with the leadership filled with a bunch of @Nebustar]

[Nebustar: Hey man, don't @ me like that, we all know leadership ain't my thing. I’m just here for moral support and to provide the music playlists. Maybe a bit of cultural exchange and all that, you know? I leave most of the important stuff to you lot.]

[StormBane: See what I mean lol!]

With the important messages sent, Aurora let out another sigh, thankful that she already had capable people ready to handle issues at a moment's notice. She had been quite worried that she would not have anyone ready to help her out since it had only been a day and a half since most players had started.

That being said, she did worry about the impression the younger members of the guild’s leadership had on older members like Munro. Their casual and rather jovial tone had the potential to clash with the serious and formal attitude of the ex-military man. The thought of all the mixes of ages and backgrounds of the people currently leading different aspects of her guild did paint a rather amusing picture to her when she imagined it, and it had the potential to be a great success or blow up in her face.

Both Connor and herself would need to be careful in managing the many conflicts that would no doubt arise, and she hoped that outside those who knew the truth, everyone’s mutual interest in earning money through Caelus Online would grease the wheels for their cooperation.

Thankfully, from the brief bits of conversation she had read before messaging, everything seemed to be going fine, at least for now. Everyone had their specific tasks so were all generally working within their separate areas. It was once the guild properly shifted over to the Caelesian Empire where the potential conflicts may arise.

At the very least she could be assured that once the Upheaval arrived, those involved would see the importance of what she was attempting to do and have their commitment solidified. However, until then she would have to be at the forefront of all the Immortal Warriors and solidify her guild as the undisputed top of the player base.

But for now, she still had around 20 minutes left on her half an hour death timer before she could respawn nearby, as well as a total of 10 additional levels worth of attribute points to apply to herself before she threw herself at the gnolls again. And with any luck, she would not need to take such drastic measures this time.
