Boom! Crash!
ROARR!!!
Within the Wilderness Zone a huge battle was going on. In a more mountainous zone Mary had found a cave with an evolved race of War Bear we had fought previously. At once I saw her drooling.
Still when I looked at them all I saw was [War God Bear Level 178].
I had thrown War Bears within the Hive before we began training but with the presence of the dense mana in the Hive monsters evolve at a rapid pace yet I knew this was just one more prey to my bugs.
These bears in particular are one of the choice food sources for Flesh Hunter Wasps. The thick fur coat provides them with extensive protection but even then, their face, paws and feet are weak points and the bugs sting them there and use extensive biting slowly ripping chunks of meat off it alive.
As I watch Mary fight a group of them one by one they fall dead and after 5 were dead the rest ran away which was a normal reaction placed into their minds when losing a battle as to preserve the race.
“Oh no you don’t!” Mary said and killed another.
“Master stop or you will kill off the race!” I shout.
She suddenly stops and looks at me.
“Those are the only ones remaining, it hasn’t been long since I added them to this place and one of the bug races already feeds off them a lot.” I explain.
“Oh is that so… well six bears of this size is fine. The pelt is extremely tough and their claws are really useful to make knives. The fangs not so much though.” She said.
“Hmm… their muscles are really tough and I don't like how they taste.” I said.
“You don’t know how to cook them, you need to make preparations and season the meat, this isn’t something we can roast like the regular ones.” She replied.
“I’ll store these.” I said and she nodded as the drone appeared, taking the bears away.
“I was getting curious, how do your bugs hunt these huge beast’s?” She asked.
I thought for a moment and said one word. “Swarming”.
It is a classic tactic for bugs unless they are huge monsters. Swarming of hundreds of weak minions to kill one powerful beast.
“Is there any around here we can watch, i want to see them fight.” Mary said.
Crash!
We looked over and saw dust from a tree falling.
“Yes, there is one around here. It’s one of the new bugs that just evolved.” I said
“Alright let’s go watch!” She said and started to walk to the noise.
I spread my wings and took flight and she jumped on the trees, scaling them higher until she reached the high branches. Quickly we reached the source of the noise and what we found were two swarms.
One was a large hawk creature with red wings with a metallic glow on its feathers and the others are the newly born Bomb Ants.
The birds were perched on the trees cautious of the ants below.
The bomb ants, on closer inspection, were pure black in color with their mandibles were several times bigger and stronger as before along with their body size. Their second section was beefier and had lots of muscle that would work into the six legs which were about as thick as an adult's femur bone. Their size was about 15 cm long from the tip of the mandible to the end of the abdomen.
The ants were aiming for the birds but being so high up and the flight ability they couldn’t reach them.
These ants didn’t have wings because these were Bomb Ant hunters but soldiers did possess them but they couldn’t maintain flight for long.
That said when my eyes went towards the base of the fallen tree i thought that wasn’t needed since the tree was splintered and clearly crushed somehow.
At the end of the fallen tree were several dozen of those hawks injured and dying since they couldn’t take flight before the ants swarmed them and broke their wings and began to literally dismantle them and take them away.
“This…” Mary muttered
“These are called Bomb Ants, they evolved from Bullet Ants. Let’s see…” I say and close my eyes as I start to communicate with them and see their strengths. After I identify their strength I gasp a bit.
“Okay, it seems these ants have developed high levels of strength and as a racial skill they can lift anything that is 20 times their weight. Their mandible strength is also on a similar strength to an explosive.” I tell her.
“No way!” Mary said, not believing but suddenly I pointed to three ants that were climbing one of the trees to about a meter in height. They looked at the tree where it was. The spot was thinner and it spread its mandible and clamped down.

CRUNCH!
At once in a direct line in front of the ant’s mandible the tree's base, that was 2 and a half meters in diameter at that spot, was instantly crushed and it pushed making the tree start to fall.
The ants under the falling tree moved out of the way and some birds took flight but not all could and about 40 that filled the trees near the center couldn’t get out with the swaying branches and collapsed with it.
Mary had bulging eyes.
“My bugs all develop different methods to hunt, there is an elemental bug with lightning affinity hunting at the moment, want to watch?” I asked.
She looked conflicted but nodded. I opened a portal and jumped through and she followed.
We appeared on a mountain that was covered in dark clouds and thunder bolts raining down quickly.
I land instantly and then point towards the clouds. There you could hear a thunderous noise from the beating of the wings even from this distance. The swarm of Thunderbolt Darters did indeed sound like a rumbling of never ending thunder.
About 40 meters away was a huge hawk with a 20 meter wingspan and a yellow mixed with brown coloration.
“My god! That's a Storm Hawk, they only live in places that are rich with lightning mana!” Mary exclaimed.
Still the hawk looked scared and let out a screech as a bolt of lightning struck it and then it suddenly channeled that towards the swarm of bugs. As the bolt of lightning hit them the first one acted as a buffer and the lightning was instantly spread to the entire swarm followed by three more thunderbolts from the hawk and even one directly from the skies.
The dark yellow cloud turned bright yellow as large sparks of lightning were dancing inside like its own thunder cloud.
Slowly the cloud changed shape and the Queen Thunderbolt Darter appeared. Slowly all that energy began to gather as her body turned bright yellow before a single Bolt of lightning shot out. This bolt was nearly three times thicker than any before and moved faster than all those before hitting the Hawk square in the chest and burning a hole through it.
It let out a miserable screech as the swarm suddenly advanced on it and caught it and began to eat it half dead as it was. Even if it tried to release electricity to defend itself it just enticed the bugs to eat more since they feed off lightning mana as a staple food.
Mary somewhat shuttered as she saw the destructive Hawk taken out in one hit.
“What…” She muttered.
“Those are called Thunderbolt Darters. They originate from Gale Striders. They are carnivorous and through their queen they can fire large lightning attacks at over 2 kilometers.” I tell her.
“Still, what is the highest level monster in this place?” Mary asked.
“Who knows, when a monster becomes high level they get smarter and hide, ones we hunt are the trash minions of those.” I tell her.
“This…” She began.
“There aren't ‘weak’ monsters at my current level that aren’t moving in swarms.” I tell her.
“No, this place… it’s such a perfect training ground!” Her eyes were sparkling. “So many high grade monsters, magic creatures and even your bugs. All of them have value in one way or another!” Mary said. She watched as only the Storm Hawk bones drop out of the cloud.
“Please gather those bones!” She exclaimed.
I looked surprised but nodded. The drone appeared and took them to the palace.
“Let's go to that palace you were talking about so i can tell you exactly what those bones are useful for.” She said and I nod opening the portal to the Palace.
When I entered my room I smelled the comfortable smell and relaxed.
When Mary entered she looked around the childish room.
“Where are the Bones?” She asked.
“Drone!” I called and she appeared opening the door.
“The bones guest Mary requested are this way.” She said.
I walked and Mary followed. Eventually we reached the freezer where all organics are held.
Inside what we met was the huge freezer and all the Toxic Bloodsuckers draining the blood from all the kills of monsters we catch.
Mary instantly froze.
“Those are Toxic Bloodsuckers, they don’t release any poison when sucking blood from dead corpses, they are as clean as possible and the highest quality meat you will find with all the blood drained out of it.” I tell her and she wakes up and drool starts to appear from her lips.
Battle maidens have a huge appetite so seeing so much meat is something very enticing.
We walk inside and then enter a different door where it wasn’t as cold and we found hundreds of piles of animal bones and pelts as well as other unconsumed items without much knowledge of what to do with them such as a small gem that appeared on the forehead of some fox from the volcanic badlands that had three tails and used fire magic or the bodies of dark treants from the Forest of the Night.
To use this was all unusable items but when Mary saw this her jaw reacted the ground.
“What?” She asked.
“What? You're asking me what! All these items! All of them are expensive and more than half of these are alchemy or crafting ingredients!” She shouted pointing.
“Well… we don’t know how to use them so we just store this junk here.” I tell her.
“#^@” Mary shouted and then slumped down. “Of course, junk, how would she know their uses.” She muttered conflicted and then she took a deep breath and looked at the pile of bones that was set aside.
“Well since I said I would tell you the use for Storm Hawk bones I will do it, simply these bones can be ground down into bone meal and mixed with other herbs that isolate specific materials in the bones. When that is done and concentrated the bones become a unique pill that when consumed and absorbed will aid in improving the affinity to lightning.” She said.
“Is that so, drone, please separate all the bones by the race of the beast and leave them in separate containers.” I tell the drone and she nods.
She tells us to leave and after a minute she opens the door and all the randomly thrown bones were in earth containers made directly into the walls each with the name of the beast they were before.
“I told you this place improves on its own or with a simple order.” I told the slackjaw loli.
“I give up, I’m not going to be surprised anymore.” She said and inspected everything and told us how to properly store them and some of the known uses.
When she was done we exit and enter again finding a warehouse instead of simple storage.
“Now this is easier to look at, anyone that has seen a treasury would have insulted you for leaving so many treasure items loose like that.” Mary said.
“Want to keep looking around?” I asked her.
“Sure, since I am too out of it to train why not.” She said.
Droso wishes to invite you to his world, do you accept!
I was stunned for a long while then smiled wide.
“Master, please look around as you like, the Drone can open portals to the other locations if you want to go check it out. I have something important to do!” I said and didn’t wait and ran to my room and jumped in bed.
“I want to see daddy!” I shout and my view turns dark.
