Chapter 0: Greatest doctor, the man who called forth the gods.
A ring of fire surrounds an army made up of golden giant robots, the army of the gods. Millions of deities lining the skies, each god adorns accessories that make up their power, their authority, some adorned gauntlets with various unreadable scribbles, while others swords and shields, and crowns and gowns. They all overlooked the battlefield, a torn up giant robot lays on a single knee, kneeling towards the gods above who look at the thing with distain, greed, and envy, standing between their golden army and their goal, A giant dome, seemingly untouched from the battle, it’s panels lit up the night sky, a beacon attracting the deities like moths to a lamp.
Many machines piled up around the area, some missing limbs while others are split in two, the rest melted and crushed, some even smashed halfway into the ground. The brightest machine steps up to the kneeling mech, all limbs intact but not without its nicks and scratches, it gallantly walked the kneeling giant robot, it’s heavy steps shaking the earth, the heavy robot kneeling had most of it’s cameras broken and it’s cockpit partially caved in, “Rise fowl heretic, no… doctor, I know a wound like that wouldn’t kill you,” “Not immediately.”
Inside the cockpit of the battle torn robot, a man in his 60’s with white hair growing out of his short pitch black hair and wrinkles adorning his face. He rests on a seat, surrounded with broken levers, switches, and cracked screens with only one able to display the burning battlefield outside and the damages his machine took.
“Of course a scratch like this wouldn’t end me,” the man laughed, staring at the golden figure through the only camera still working. Fowlhiem reached for his forehead, a stream of warm blood flowed through a shard of metal, imbedded into his forehead.
”You could still be saved, the gods powers are limitless, you can still be saved, just… give us the dues ex Machina as well as the child.” “Let the god heal your wounds,” “please… I don’t want to have your blood on my hands,” “don’t make me do this… like I did to Gloria”
The man with a bloody hand SLAMMED on the controls, already broken and broken even further. “She didn’t need to die,” fowlhiem gritted his teeth, “and what kind of father sells their own children,”
”I had no choice,” he coldly responded, “Her research of this godly energy would still have ended her life,” “She had already gone too far,”
”Bullshit,” “I know you’ve been craving her research for a long time,” “don’t even try to justify your action,”
“So be it,” the golden robot replied “we were colleagues once, you and I,” “It pains me to do this,” He pulls out a giant sword out of the torso of one of the giant robot.
He looked at the man slowly approaching him, ready to finish him once and for all. He quickly opened up a different computer “System, activate the drill”

He sighed, and looked up towards the deities watching above, then back down to his traitorous colleague. “Do you know the most feared part of humanity is?” “Their innovation? Their crave for violence, no…none of those,”
The golden robot stopped in confusion, “what are you going on about doctor, have you finally gone senile,”
“Hah,” “senile? Me?, impossible.” Fowlhiem laughed “My head has never been so clear, though it may just be the blood loss getting to me,”
He continued “No, the most feared trait of humanity isn’t any of those things,” “No… it’s love, It’s our greatest weakness, and our greatest drive,” “our love for material needs, our love for our family, our love towards the things in, and out beyond this world,” “and how we are so easily manipulated by it,” “It makes us up, even things like violence and greed stems from our love of something,” “People fight because of our narcissistic love for ourselves, people steal because we love the treasures other people have,” “we are completely enslaved to our heart, it is who we are, it’s power pushes humanities seemingly endless growth, and our love to live evolves us.” “It brings us together, yet it tears us up and apart,” “you love your gods and let them control you,” “But I love the memories love has brought, we were once close friends, Gill… if you still go by that, we and all of our colleagues were like a family, brought together by the love for the endless mysteries the universe contains.” “But that’s all in the past, Oh yea… I’ll have to repay you guys for the love you’ve once shown me,”
Fowlhiem opened a panel above him and pulled on something. The kneeling robot shudders to life once more as it begins to stand up despite all the damages it took.

Launching…
The dome behind them begins to sink into the floor, deeper and deeper, cracks form on ground and the sky begins to shake.
“NO!” Gill roared as it rushed towards the dome hoping to stop the launch. As a golden beam shot out of its head and headed straight towards the dome, any golden robots still functional began to chase their leader and the gods roared and threw various attacks, lightning, and fire rained from the sky towards the dome, But a protective shield beamed up and stopped the attacks before they could hit the dome.
“One last gift for all of you fuckers,” the black robot raised his arm and brought it towards his own stomach, reaching in and pulling out its own heart, powered by the same energy that brought the gods towards his planet. The energy he spent decades researching. It’s purple light lighting up the dark sky.
“SHIT!” Gill shouted! “Someone stop him!” He raised his weapons towards the robot and threw with whatever strength left In reserve. But it was already too late.
He crushed the reactor in his hands and the weapon thrown towards him instantly splashed onto the Mecha, turning the Greatsword into a puddle of molten steel. The nearby robots collapsed and melted instantly, but despite the intense heat the Mecha still stayed intact despite being the epicenter of the reactor. More heat and light sprouted from the reactor as it began collapsing on itself. A bright light engulfed the battlefield taking all the robots with him and even burned the gods looking and pushed them far away, “One final gift for my son,” fowlhiem said as he burned alive in his cockpit, his skin and flesh peeling off him, flames erupted from the controls burning at his hand. “I’ll leave the fate of the world I tried to protect to you, my son, my daughter.”
He croaked “Gloria, my beloved, I’m sorry I won’t be able to look out for my son as he grows, but I’ll leave him the toys I built throughout my years… I expect him to like this one, see you soon, Gen my child” A bright flash engulfed the entire area decimating anything in proximity. But soon the bright glow faded into the sky leaving a massive crater, noticeable from space and a deep hole in the crater where the dome once was as it collapsed and filled in and the only thing left was a single robot.
Deep underground, a towering figure watches the dome sink into the ground like a stone in water, it lumbers over to a small pod being cleaned by maid drones, the pod houses a little baby, slumbering the night away.
