Born into a broken world

Chapter One: Birth in a Broken World

The night was darker than ever. The stars were shining in the sky, but inside the palace, something beyond the stars was being born.

Yuan Long, the great emperor, the man known as the "Awakening Sword", stood beside his wife Huang Ru. His gaze was fixed on the little child wrapped in a blue silk cloth. But unlike always, there was no sign of the seriousness and severity he always had in his gaze. His face shone with pride and joy.

A smile that no one could have imagined was etched on his lips. His large hands carefully embraced the child.

Yuan Long (in a quiet voice, but trembling with emotion): "How small... but it seems like the world is in his hands. My son... is finally here."

Huang Ru (smiling, running her hand over the baby's soft cheek): "Did you see? I always said this moment would come. Now that I look at it, it's as if it was always meant to be born... as if it was in our hearts from the beginning."

Yuan Long looked at the baby's small face. The child had not yet fully opened its eyes, but every time its eyelids half-opened, a light shone in them.

Yuan Long (carefully, placing a finger on her child's small hand and smiling faintly): "Look at it, its fingers are gripping my hand. It's as if it wants to hold onto something tight from now on... maybe its destiny."

Huang Ru (with a more serious look, but full of love): "Fate... whatever it is, I'm sure of one thing. No one, I emphasize, no one is allowed to hurt it even a little. I swear on my heart."

Yuan Long (with sparkling eyes, hugging her child tighter): "I swear, Huang Ru. Nothing, no one, no fate can take it from me."

But the moment this baby was born, on the other side of the world, something happened.

In a place beyond space and time...

A place no human could comprehend, an absolute being, a being whose name had not even been written into the language of any living being, suddenly woke up.

Its countless eyes shone in the darkness. It was silent for a moment, as if it had sensed something. Then, with a voice that came from the heart of time, it laughed.

"Huh... that's it. So finally... it entered this world."

The being, which had no fixed form, moved through the cosmic waves. "Let's see... Where is this child? Let me see him..."

But just as he was about to see the exact location of Yuvan Risen, his eyes suddenly shattered!

A wild, pure blue light erupted from the darkness, shaking the entire dimensions of the creature.

"My eyes...!"

A moment later, he stopped laughing in pain. Then, with the same calmness as if he had enjoyed the experience, he whispered:

"Sorry... I forgot my place for a moment. That creature, he... is truly beyond what I can see. How... interesting."

The Moment the World Shook

The very moment Yuvan Risen stepped into this world, on the other side of the world, something happened that no one could understand why.

Deep within the Forbidden Forest, the Tree of Immortality, which had stood motionless since the beginning of history, suddenly shook. Its golden leaves trembled, and an invisible wind blew through its branches.

In the forgotten mountains, where goddesses of the past once lived, the walls of ancient temples began to tremble. Carved stones that had remained motionless for thousands of years cracked.

In the depths of the eternal seas, where prehistoric creatures still breathed in the darkness, an eerie silence reigned. The ancient hunters, feared even by the gods, stopped moving for a moment, as if they had sensed something... but none of them knew why.

But amidst all these changes, no one, not even the wise and the seers, could understand that all this had come from the birth of a baby.

The Royal Palace: Moments After the Birth

In a warm, quiet room, Huang Ru held the little prince in her arms. His eyes were shining with joy. To him, this was not just a child, but his entire world.

Yuan Long, who always had a serious face, now sat proudly beside his wife, his gaze never taking his eyes off the young prince.

Yuan Long: “Look at him… it’s like he’s made of light.”

Huang Rou shook his head with a smile.

Huang Rou: “He’s already special, but these things don’t matter. All that matters is that he’s our son.”

Yuan Long, who always cared about power and destiny, was just a father this time.

Yuan Long: “That’s right. It doesn’t matter how the world looks at him… because I will never let the world even have a chance to hurt him.”

But at that moment, something neither of them expected happened.

In Huang Rou’s arms, the young prince, who had only been laughing quietly until then, suddenly opened his eyes.

Eyes that even absorbed the light of the lanterns.

The Power That Must Be Hidden

For a moment, time stood still.

Yuan Long held his breath. Huang Rou involuntarily pressed his fingers against the child.

What was before them was not what they had expected.

Raisen’s eyes, two shining blue seas, showed something more than belonging to this world.

In that moment, both parents knew that their son was different from any human being ever born.

But not as emperor and empress… but as parents, what they felt in that moment was not fear, nor wonder, nor concern for the fate of the world.

There was only one thing in their hearts:

“We must protect him.”

Huang Ru said in a quiet but firm voice:

“Yuan Long. His power is too great… We must not let this power cause others to harm him.”

Yu Wang nodded without a moment’s hesitation.

Yuan Long: “Then we will seal him. Not because we are afraid of him, but because we do not want anyone to even come close to this power.”

Yuan Long’s hands clenched into fists.

Yuan Long: “No one must know what he has inside him.”

Huang Ru: “Not until he wants to.”

Protective Seals

A few hours later, inside one of the palace’s secret halls, Yuan Long and Huang Ru stood beside the baby.

Five seals were placed on the young prince’s small body. Each seal was carefully designed, not to suppress his power, but to prevent his power from awakening until he wanted it to.

Huang Ru: "The first seal, the seal of identity. No one, not even himself, will know his true self until his time comes."

Yuan Long: "The second seal, the seal of mind. No force, not even from the most ancient ages, will be able to read his mind."

Huang Ru: "The third seal, the seal of body. Until his power awakens, his body will be like that of an ordinary human."

Yuan Long: "The fourth seal, the seal of invisibility. His presence will appear ordinary to those who should not see him."

Huang Ru: "And finally... the fifth seal, the seal of fate. Until he chooses, no one can change his fate."

When the seals were complete, Yuan Long glanced at his wife.

Huang Ru: "With this, he will be safe for a while."

Huang Ru, still holding the young prince, nodded.

Huang Ru: "It will be safe, because we are here. And anyone who wants to get close to him must first pass through us."

Yuan Long smiled.

Yuan Long: "That's right."

As his parents looked at the protective seals, the young prince smiled softly.

His eyes, now half-closed, shone like two silent stars for the last time.

And then, with absolute peace, he fell asleep in his mother's arms.

Inside the palace, among the servants...

In a corner of the palace, where the light of the lanterns danced on the golden walls, several servants stood. Each of them looked at the newborn prince with a look of respect and curiosity.

One of them, a young girl who had worked in the palace for many years, whispered softly:

"The young prince is so beautiful... His face seems to be made of light."

Another, an elderly woman who was one of the queen’s senior servants, replied with a kind smile:

“No wonder. He is the son of the emperor and queen. But… it seems that his charm goes beyond that. Every time I look at him, I feel my heart warm.”

Another servant, who was bringing silk cloths to swaddle the prince, said softly:

“Other babies usually cry, but the young prince… look, he is smiling.”

All the servants looked at the baby in amazement. With half-open eyes, he looked around him, as if he understood everything from the very first moment.

– The Little Prince’s Mischief

The gentle morning air passed through the huge windows of the royal palace, and the golden sunlight reflected on the polished tiles. The corridors of the Yuwan Palace were filled with servants going about their daily duties with smiles of satisfaction. But amidst the apparent stillness, they all had one concern—the little prince had awakened!

“Young prince! Please wait!” A servant’s voice echoed in the hall.

A boy with silver hair that shone like silk in the light, his eyes full of mischief, ignoring the shouts, passed by the servants. His expensive royal robes, which were reserved for special occasions, were soiled by his endless running.

“Hehe! You should catch me if you can!” With a wide smile on his lips, Yuwan jumped down the grand palace steps and circled in the air like a small bird.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

One of the guards whispered in concern: “How does this kid move so fast?!”

But no one answered him, as they were all busy trying to stop this little storm.

The Heart of the Palace – The Royal Garden

Yuwan finally entered the royal garden; where mythical creatures from ancient times lived. Huge trees with leaves that shone like emeralds were spread throughout the garden. A clear river flowed through the garden, and the sound of magical birds chirping echoed in the air.

He stopped for a moment, put his small hands on his hips, and looked proudly at the garden.

“Hehe! No one can reach me!”

But suddenly a rustling sound came from behind the trees. Yuwan narrowed his eyes and slowly walked towards the sound. As he bent down to see what was hidden behind the bushes, a furry creature suddenly jumped out of them and ran straight towards him.

Yuwan snorted on the spot.

“Ow! How nrr But it wasn’t long before something happened in these moments of peace. Yuwan felt for a moment that something was calling him from a corner of the garden. A feeling that was strange even to himself. But he quickly ignored it.

Inside the Palace – Risen’s Parents

At that moment, deep in the palace, the great emperor was sitting next to his wife. His sharp eyes were fixed on the plans spread out on the table, but his mind was not occupied.

His wife, Huang Ru, whose stunning beauty was renowned throughout the empire, raised her teacup and said in a mischievous tone: “Do you want me to tell you what your son did today?”

Emperor Yuwan, who always had a serious face, gave him a calm look. “Did you throw the palace into chaos again?”

Huang Ru laughed. “Chaos? No! This kid is more than a storm!”

The emperor put a hand on his chin and muttered, “As long as he’s happy, that’s enough for me…”

Huang Rou half-opened his eyes and said, “I know. But he needs to learn the basic skills first.”

The emperor said with a soft laugh, “Let him be a child. He has plenty of time to learn.”

Meeting Grandfather

In the inner parts of the palace, next to the great hall, where sunlight shone through the windows onto the stone walls, the little prince was running when suddenly a powerful and harsh voice was heard from the next room.

“Little Yun! Do you think you can escape me?!” The voice of Huang Lian, Raisen’s maternal grandfather, echoed in the air. The crackling sound of fire could be clearly heard in the room filled with magic. Yuan walked towards the door curiously.

The room was filled with blazing flames, but in the midst of it, an old man with earthy hair and a serious face raised his hands and was concentrating on his fiery magic.

Huang Lian, a legendary fire mage and one of the most powerful warriors in the empire, looked intimidating at first glance. His face bore deep lines that showed signs of years of experience and battle, and his eyes were as bright as flames in the night.

Raisen stood in the middle of the room and fixed his gaze on his grandfather. “Grandpa! One day I want to be like you!” he said with a mischievous smile.

Huang Lian, who never softened in front of anyone, glanced at him briefly and then with a quick movement, released a flame of fire from his hands towards the ground, the fire swirled in the air and then went out again.

“Don’t you know that when you are a fire mage, you must have complete control over the flames?” His voice was still heavy and harsh, but deep down, there was a kind of compassion.

Yuwan, who was a little scared by his grandfather’s serious gaze, laughed and said, “Okay, but one day I want to be someone no one can escape from!”

Huang Lian fixed his eyes on him and smiled faintly. “As long as you are by my side, nothing can defeat you.” His voice became noticeably calmer, and he continued with affection, like a kind old man who had lived for many years: “But remember, true power lies in the heart and mind, not just in fire.”

With great energy and excitement, Yuwan ran towards Grandpa and threw her arms around his neck. “Grandpa, one day I want to amaze everyone with my power!”

Huang Lian gently stroked his head with his large, dry hands, with hidden affection, and said, “You just need to learn one thing, little Yun. Never use your power to oppress others, but always use it to protect.”

While Raisen was still in his grandfather’s arms, he felt safe and at peace. For a moment, Huang Lian was no longer the scary and violent wizard, but a kind grandfather who had dedicated his entire world to the love of his daughter and granddaughter.

Memories of a Dead Man--The Birth of a Broken Demon

In the heart of a starless night, when the sky wept silently over a declining world, a fire flared up in a place where it should never have been lit. The raging flames, like intertwined snakes, danced over the magnificent palaces of the Raven Empire, and the ashes of what had once been a symbol of glory were lost in the wind.

But amidst this inferno, what was most terrifying was not the flames, nor the sound of the massive pillars collapsing, but the echo of a heavy laughter—a voice that echoed like a demonic howl in the night.

"I found you, Raven the Great!"

A man in a black robe, a massive figure, and eyes devoid of light stepped forward, his voice filled with the pleasure of torture.

"Haha! Look who's here... The Great Queen of the Raven Empire! What a scene! I've been waiting for this day since the moment this damned empire was founded. Now I have only one question... Why are you silent? Aren't you going to beg for your life? Hahaha!"

Raven, the great emperor, who had once fought on the battlefields like an unstoppable storm, now lay wounded and on his knees. But his eyes—the same eyes that had so often struck death into the eyes of his enemies—reflected no fear. All that remained in them was a sorrow for what was lost.

"We... lost everything."

A voice, trembling but full of authority, rose from the flames.

"No, Raven. Not yet."

The queen, her white robes stained with blood, fell to her knees beside her husband. Her hands, trembling but full of warmth, rested on his wounded cheek.

"Look at me, Raven."

The emperor looked at his wife, his eyes filled with pain.

"Our son... Abradon... still lives. If he lives, so does Raven. He is still our hope."

A faint smile spread across Raven's face, but before she could say another word—

Phosh—

the blade sank into the Emperor's chest.

The Queen's eyes widened in horror. Her husband's blood splashed down her face, but she did not tremble. With hands that still flowed with love, she caressed Raven's face.

But something in her gaze changed.

She was no longer a kind queen. No longer a woman in love.

She was just a mother.

And nothing, nothing was more dangerous than a mother with nothing to lose.

"Abradon! Run!"

But her son could not move.

His eyes, always filled with his father's passion and pride, now held only a reflection of death. His arms held his little sister, but he squeezed her tighter.

"Everyone died... Everyone died..."

His sister's voice was lost in the screams and explosions. Abradon could only watch. He could only see his mother rise, her white robe stained with blood, her eyes no longer filled with tears.

"You are the son of the Great Raven. Never forget. Never break. Never... let them see you fear."

His mother turned to her enemies.

"Now come and see... can you kill me too?"

And they came.

And blood was spilled.

And a scream rose from the flames.

Abradon did not know how long it had been. He did not know how many minutes, hours, or centuries had passed.

He only knew that no more sound came from his mother.

And his sister...

Phew!

A blade flashed in the night. A moment later, blood spattered the ground. His sister's terrified eyes were the last image he saw.

Silence.

From the ashes of hundreds of millions of men, from the sorrow and hatred of hundreds of millions of souls, something more sinister than any darkness was born.

The devil was born.

The world stopped. Something within Abradon broke. (The first break)

[[That day the world made two mistakes.]]

"Their first mistake was to attack the Raven Empire."

Blood, ash, and death.

"But their second mistake..."

Abradon's eyes widened.

"It was that they didn't kill me."

A pure, ruthless blackness, devoid of anything that had once been called humanity, was born.

And at that moment, in the heart of the night sky, a star lost its light.

Several thousand years later - the present

A man with eyes so dark that even the black holes of the world seemed bright in front of them sat in silence. Memories of the past echoed in his mind like shards of broken glass.

"I am not worthy of anything. Not this new name I have given myself, not worthy of a brother, not worthy of a son to that brave mother and father."

His eyes were like a dark mirror, an emptiness that even swallowed time.

"Everyone died that night. Even me. Nothing left of me but an empty shell."

In the heart of the darkest place in the galaxy, where even light dared not enter, a throne of black stones and dried blood stood atop a great tower.

A man with eyes blacker than night, a robe that wrapped around him like a living shadow, sat quietly upon the throne.

The King of Darkness.

The creator of the Cult of Absolute Darkness.

He, who had risen from the ashes of a burned empire. He, who had been fed by the hatred of millions of souls.

His eyes, once a flame of hope, were now empty of all emotion.

Before him, hundreds of commanders knelt, each a warrior whose name shook galaxies.

Abradon glanced at the map floating in midair. There was a bright dot on the map—a planet, still free.

In a tone that echoed through the darkness, he gave his command.

"The planet Hasdron... Conquer it."

No one dared to ask a question. No one dared to object.

A vast army rose from the shadows, ready to destroy.

And at that moment, in the heart of the sky, another star went out.

Yuwan Royal Palace

A boy with bright eyes pulled his mother's hand and said excitedly:

"Mom! Mom! Look there, a star went out!"

The woman looked up at the sky. She was silent for a moment, and then whispered in a quiet voice:

"Yeah... Apparently another one went out..."
