---Temp---

Jeb heads towards the dentist after a long days work in the Sun. Not really looking forward to getting somebody to stick their fingers through his face and strap them to a chair those teeth cleaning members of The Cult of the teeth are a bit strange and scared Jeb.

After all who in the right mind would focus their entire being on cleaning teeth and finding ways to find out who is and is not cleaning their teeth. For the past year and a half now the dentist has been able to find and discover anyone who walks past their place of business if someone has a cavity or even as just a need to brush their teeth that morning and had forgotten or had put it off. And it even gone so far is them stopping people in the middle of the street and forcing them to floss in front of them while they hold the jug of water rights in their hand to pass to them the right times.

Strange this strange obsession has become worse and we think it is because the patriarch is about to move on so he's going to visit this small little town that is near the bottom of the nice Green valley that we live in.

Unfortunately for us that means that us farmers workers everyday people have had people from the dentist invade our homes in the morning to ensure that if the patriarch were to show his face during the day that all of the towns folk would have at least a minimum amount of time between cleanings as possible.

Due to the strangeness Jeb has begun to clean his teeth almost religiously as well and has also gotten a few skills related to keeping them permanently shiny or so he thinks.

For the majority of the time this hasn't become a problem and the dentists are normally very subdued and most often forgotten however for the past 10 years they have slowly begun to rise in power ever since their patriarch had taken their head position.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

After all the last patriarch of the cult of teeth was never as threatening as the current one nor as charismatic.

Jeb enters through the clean white entryway that smells of alcohol and cleaning products as well as the scent of mint and other fragrances.

The receptionist looks up at and then marks down something on her clipboard and nods to Jeb as he sits down on the side.

There's almost no wait time between my arrival and when I had to get up for the dentist as a new person sits down right where I was sitting.

Knowing in the right mind would want to be late especially during this week whenever the patriarch is supposed to arrive so everyone arrived just on the minutes on time. After my name is called they bring me to the back where I see the doctor in a white trench coat and a mask and some goggles and blue gloves.

And they gestured to sit down on the chair and I do so and they ask me when was the last time that I clean my teeth and I had answered that morning.

And then the man nods and then sits down next to the chair and starts to press some buttons which changes the altitude at which it was originally positioned.

The dentist starts by moving a table closer to themselves and grabbing a few tools few tools and then folks around into my mouth after a few minutes of doing so you just nods his head and goes it's good enough for today.

I get up after a few more minutes and as he cleans his tools I walk out of the room back towards the front. I see the other lady at the front desk and they tell me an appointment for the next week at 9:00 and I just nod my head and write it down on a small notepad in front of her.

I leave the dentist and go to work as if nothing more had happened nothing strange hopefully.

I tried to forget the skeleton that was kept in the waiting room with the brightest teeth I had ever seen I never want to go back there after all there was nearly one skeleton in every single room that I had gone in. I shiver as a return home to get ready for work.
