A servant and the family(prologue)

A servant and the family(prologue)

Early on a Saturday a boy found himself peacefully cleaning a small table silently. Until he was interrupted by a rather annoying voice.

“Oh so you’re awake bates.”

“.....”

Why should he answer something she already knew the answer to?  In this instance it was best to stay quiet.

‘Besides.’

A hulking figure was standing behind the female. Sensing an angry aura from it he thought it would be best to stay silent.

“Honey why are you speaking to this disgusting creature?”

“!? Oh mother good morning sorry I didn’t see you there.”

“Ah yes. Good morning. Though why are you speaking to something lower than you.”

“Huh? you mean bates? No I was just surprised to see him up so early every day is all.”

“Hmm I get it so he has tricked you into thinking you all are on the same level. Well let me just show you the difference in you guys.”

The girl was genuinely starting to get worried now.

‘Why do they always treat him like trash.’

Compared to the girl currently breaking down on the inside bates calmly continued to clean.

‘It’s not like it hurts anymore any way.’

Yes even though he knew exactly what was about to come he was already used to it. Having been constantly beat all his life will make any a person go numb.

“Ah I see... no worries I'll put this bug in his place.”

‘Crap!’

Even though she didn’t want to see him getting beat there was nothing she could do. Trying to stop the process will only make it worse for the boy.

The mother lugged her large arm strait for the boys head. Just before bates’s eyes quickly met the fist coming straight for his head.

‘So slow.’

Though he has always constantly been beat with every single one of them the movements just become slower and slower.

‘Get down! get down! get gown!’

Having always been near the bottom on the food chain she too was always looked down on. Until she met her husband that was. Even so those horrible memories play through her mind every time she she’s this scum walking around her house.

She continued to rain down her punches. Even so there was only miner damage being done to the boy.

Pant,pant

She had to stop and breath due to her large frame getting in the way of her fun.

‘What an idiot.’

Having been stoped from his tasks at hand. He couldn’t help but think about the food he should be preparing right about now.

‘I still can't understand how he can keep a strait face'

The female had seen this spectacle many times before But always seemed to get astonished by how calm his face always is even in the middle of danger.

“What’s with all the racket so early in the morning?”

The father of the girl with figure even bigger than her mothers. Having an air of absolute authority when he enters a room. His word was more or less law in this house.

“Oh Janx dear. The servant in the house was speaking to our precious daughter.”

Hearing these word from the wife his face went stiff.

‘But he didn’t even speak.’

His daughter having gone meek he took it as a form of confirmation. Though he saw something a little off in her eyes. Being one of the best poker players in the country he had to find all facts and lies through the eyes and actions of his fellow players.

Sigh

“Don’t you thinks it’s too early for this Ann.”

“Yes dear I apologize.”

“And Aanishah you shouldn’t be speaking to such a disgusting presence in the first place.”

“Yes father.”

When her apologetic eyes met bates emotionless stare she involuntarily averted her gaze to the ground.

‘It makes no sense what has he done to get their hatred.’

‘Tch lucky bastard.’

“The food smells nice.”

The girl was honestly happy that the food prepared was always so good. Though her parents seemed to have differing opinions.

“I guess it will suffice.”

Bates ignoring the pigs behind him went downstairs to do his daily exorcises.

‘He never eats in the morning.’

Aanishah gave him a rueful look at his back as he went downstairs.

‘I should get started...’

Bates has been with these people for as long as he can remember. And never once has he gotten any gift or had the privileges of normal people. And only getting the bare minimum to eat he was used to being hungry. Even so he never allowed himself to complain. Or it would just get worse for him. To pass his time he would do exorcise with whatever he could. Year on top of year he gained more and more of pure muscle. Even though this was the case with cloths on he still had a seemingly frail and weak figure.

‘70,71,72...96,97.’

time passed on like this. Until again he was interrupted.

“Hey bates you haven’t eaten so i-.”

Her gaze landed on him doing his pushups.

‘She didn’t knock.’

Bates glared at her. Waiting for her to Finnish speaking.

“I-I’m sorry.”

Seeing his cold glare she couldn’t stand it. In less than a minute of entering she turned around and left.

‘Annoying.’
