The goblin roared as it charged, smoke and fire greeted it as it dashed towards the Hyser shieldwall. The spears they had wielded sheered short by the explosions. The soldier was forced back, their hold weak as she grabbed a shield with her free hand and yanked it aside. She ignored the sword that thrust blindly, scouring a mark across her armor before her short sword punched through the soldiers chainmail. Spelled Steel met metal links, backed by inhuman strength, and those links shattered. With a snarl she twisted the blade in the human and then pushed him back, his body now a shield for her against those behind him. She felt them move back, forced to retreat by her strength, and then her fellows widened the gap she had made in the wall, blades thrust forward and more men died. Life coursed through her veins and the goblin laughed tasting the delicious blood. Her skin greedily absorbed it, drinking in the pitiful amounts of mana that these soldier held within them, reinvigorating the goblins as they crushed the shieldwall.
The normal soldiers stood no chance, and it was but a moment, or maybe more, before she found herself ducking, a sword slicing through where her head was a moment before. As the torso of the soldier she had been fighting slid from his body she dove at the man behind him, a rune soldier, and the one who had severed his fellow to try and take her head. The goblin screamed out "For Creator Briox! For the Creator!" and her sword slammed point first into the rune solider shield, the enchanted metal dented but unbroken for the first time in her life. His sword swung for her and she leapt back, her ears twitched and telling her where the others where as the goblins engaged the rune soldiers. She charged back in her short sword parrying his long, unlike the normal soldiers who seemed to move in slow motion she actually had to be careful of his blade. It was that though that left her unprepared when his shield slammed into her, casting her through the air, even flying over the heads of her fellows.

When her head was clear and the darkness faded from her vision she struggled up from the pool of blood she had landed in. Her wounds and fatigue being soothed by the vital liquid even if it wasn't enough to heal her. She looked around the battle field, watching the rune soldiers battle her kin, the rune soldiers were skilled, but the goblins numbers brought them down. They did not fear injury in return for the life of their foe, and the blood of the rune soldiers held enough mana to heal them of most wounds. With a struggle the young goblin rose to its feet. Somewhere it could hear the roar of its masters mount, explosions in the distance, and the horn that signalled that the thieves had taken their prize. With a laugh she dove into the battle once more, the thieves work may be done, but the battle was not done yet!
