Lyna Arc: Queen Bee, Chapter 6: Darkness and Silence (Last Part)

Lakshmipati paused for a moment, as if to calm her thoughts. Then she continued, her tone filled with renewed hope.

"To aid you, I and the other Xynomera queens have created a miracle. By combining all of our psychic powers, we built a new kingdom within the Mind Realm, undetectable to the broodmothers. We named it Heaven Evolution."

"Heaven Evolution will grant you the ability to evolve into something stronger and to rebuild a new Xynomera civilization. However, we know that the broodmother and her forces are not easy foes. They have existed long before the first Xynomera was born and have waged wars long before we built our civilization. Therefore, be patient, my child. Trust in the power of Heaven Evolution."

"You must remain hidden on this planet until you feel you are strong enough. Never leave this planet before you have amassed an army and strength equal to the broodmothers. Heaven Evolution will not only help you evolve and build your forces but will also connect you to a hidden dimension. This dimension will allow you to gather biomass and train. We call it the Procession Tower."

As Lakshmipati finished speaking, the memory recording began to fade. The image of her body wavered and became blurry. Lyna realized this memory had been recorded when Lakshmipati was not at her peak condition. On closer inspection, the organic kingdom behind her—filled with alien flora and glowing spores—was trembling violently, as if shaken by a great force. Lyna understood what was happening. This was Lakshmipati's final memory, recorded during the assault on her and her kingdom by the Arachnoax.

In the silence, Lyna could feel Lakshmipati's resolve. Though this recording might be the final trace of a queen who had fought until the end, Lakshmipati still exuded an aura of calm.

"It seems my time is coming to an end," Lakshmipati said with a gentle smile, as if the approaching death was nothing more than a distant shadow. Her gaze was filled with love, transcending time and space, as if it was meant solely for her child.

"I know," she continued, "that this is a cruel request for you, and you are free to disregard my words. But, my child, know this—revenge will bring nothing. The dead will remain dead, and nothing can change that."

Lakshmipati's smile warmed but carried a hint of sorrow. "My hope for you is not to build a powerful army to destroy the broodmother. I only want you to live in peace, with your future children. Never feel sadness or loneliness, for even though we are no longer with you, we live on within you.

"You are the embodiment of Xynomera civilization, the pinnacle of all queens who have ever existed. The DNA you carry is the culmination of Xynomera’s entire history. You are the greatest and most powerful achievement of our lineage. You are not alone, and you will never be alone, because we will always be within you."

Lakshmipati smiled gently once more before continuing. "Now, allow me the honor of giving you a name. You are Aruneshwari—'Queen of the Dawn, Bringer of Hope, and a New Beginning.' "

With those words, the memory recording of Lakshmipati began to fade. Lyna was pulled back into darkness and silence. However, this time, the darkness no longer felt suffocating, and the silence was no longer torturous. There was warmth flowing in her chest, bringing a peace she had never felt before.

{Welcome, Aruneshwari!}

Crack!

The darkness surrounding her suddenly cracked, emitting light that slowly seeped through the cracks. Lyna squinted her eyes, disturbed by the cracking sound that shattered the silence. In an instant, she felt her body, which had been immobile until now, starting to move.

She struggled, trying to free herself from the shell that had bound her. Crack! Crack! Crack! The cracks widened, letting in more light. Warm air flowed through the gaps, and finally, the shell broke completely, allowing Lyna to feel the free air touch her skin.

Inhale.

Exhale.

The thick, pungent smell of sulfur was the first scent she inhaled in her new life. A life that began after losing everything.

With her body coated in sticky fluid that covered every inch of her skin, Lyna crawled out of the egg. She didn’t need to look to know that her body was now naked—fragile yet ready to face the new world that awaited her.

“I’m still alive. How is this possible?” she whispered softly, her voice hoarse and strange to her own ears.

The mechanical voice echoed monotonously, as if indifferent to the confusion Lyna felt. She stood frozen, listening to each word that sounded absurd and nonsensical. Her body trembled as she tried to stand, her knees still weak.

This new body felt strange. Though its size resembled that of an adult human, its strength and stability were more like that of a baby just learning to crawl. When she looked down to examine herself, Lyna realized her form still resembled that of a human female. However, her thoughts returned to Lakshmipati.

Lakshmipati, despite having a human-like upper body, slowly transformed with a strong insect exoskeleton. The thought made Lyna furrow her brow. Would her body undergo the same transformation?

Although she knew the Xynomera body was far stronger than a human body, Lyna couldn't suppress the faint feeling of disgust when imagining herself turning into a creature resembling an insect.

Without warning, a blue panel appeared in front of her eyes. Lyna was startled, almost losing her balance as the light from the panel dazzled her. However, her curiosity soon overcame her shock. The panel looked like an information window, emitting a soft light that gradually drew her full attention.

"What is this?" she muttered, her eyes beginning to read what was displayed on the screen.
