Maria was my best friend. We were good girls, plain and simple. We were sixteen when she told me her plans. “I’m going into a convent.” Violet is on a verge of finishing up college. With the normal stressors of life such as finding a job and completing her degree decently in check she focuses on building her future with her soon-to-be fiancée, Andrew. When her childhood best friend returns, looking for help and a place to stay, Violet welcomes her in, but not without noticing some strange changes to Maria.  A story of obsession, repression, self-knowledge, and the supernatural.
