"As I've already said, I'm not interested in working for you anymore. I already have a good reputation as a lawyer, so I don't believe working for you would advance that reputation.” As she had a sip of her beverage, Kaira spoke.
"Honey, don't ever forget that I paid for your education and that's why you're a lawyer," Nadia uttered. Nadia Woods was cut off when Kara thudded her glass on the ground. "Remember, you didn't pay for my education; you are in charge of the underworld right now merely because of me. Stop taking credit for something you didn't even do." The irritation on Kaira's face was evident as she clinched her teeth.
"The contract ended the day I earned my law degree; whoever I am now and whatever I have are solely a result of my own skills. So I suppose I have nothing to offer in exchange” Kaira got to her feet and glared at Nadia.
When Nadia saw Kaira preparing to leave, she smirked and motioned for her to sit down, adding, "Let me show you something before you take your final decision." Nadia knew how to irritate people.
Kaira cautiously took a seat and watched the video Nadia had for her. Kaira's entire body began to burn with rage as soon as the film began to play, and she broke out in a cold sweat.
It was a CCTV recording of Kaira assassinating the former mayor. This CCTV footage is of Kaira's last assassination, which she performed on Nadia.
"Look how brutally you killed our dear mayor," Nadia said, bringing Kaira back to her senses.
"It was you who asked me to do all this." Kaira whispered with anger.
"Yes, honey, but people will not accept this excuse. When this video is out, do you think they will spare you just because someone else asked you to do it?" Nadia continued, "You yourself are a lawyer; don't you know much better than me?"
Kaira glared at Nadia. "So now you will blackmail me to work for you."
"That's how things work. You should have learned that in so many years you worked for me." Nadia tried to sound innocent.
"This will be the last time I work for you." Kaira glared at Nadia, burning with rage and feeling betrayed.
When she finally graduated, she made a decision to never kill anyone and help people get justice by working as a lawyer, but her own negligence put her in this state again.

Kaira's thoughts were interrupted when Nadia gave her a file: "This is the man I want you to kill within the next 6 months."
"Who needs six months? I will kill him in six minutes," Kaira said coldly.
"Kabir, the current CEO of the Falcon Group, is known as the red devil in the underworld." Nadia, she said as she felt a shiver down her spine.
"Red Devil?" Kaira tilted her head in confusion.
"His eyes, His face turns completely red, as if he is a devil himself. No one knows from where he suddenly came, but his presence is enough to shut down the strongest mafia bosses." Nadia's face was turning white with fear, and Scarlet was liking it.
"Because of his strong presence, our group is under threat. It took me so much hard work to reach the position where I stand right now in the underworld, and I don't want to lose it to some psychopath who came from nowhere." Nadia started losing her calm composure.
"So this man suddenly came and took your power, huh? Interesting." Kara smiled as if she liked the current state of Nadia.
Nadia glared at her, as if asking her to shut up, but Kaira has never listened to anyone except her own heart.
She continued taunting Nadia, saying, "Oh, the day I left you on your own, you started losing your power. What a shame, Nadia Woods." Kaira burst into laughter.
Kaira's laughter was really irritating to Nadia. If she had been some common girl, she would have surely made her pay for this.
"Remember, you might even lose everything if you fail this mission." Nadia threatened Kaira. eventually pointing at the video she has.
Nadia left the cafe.
"This man must be really powerful to make this witch so scared and impatient." Kaira thought to herself. "Let me get some more information about Kabir, the red devil."
Kaira made a call to her best informant, Nick. She invited him to meet near her law firm so she could soon finish and get back to work.
Kaira stood beside her car in her black suit and glasses when she heard a sudden whisper from behind.
“Hello, agent K." It was Nick.
Kaira raised an eyebrow at him and offered him a handshake. As he was about to take it, she suddenly withdrew her hand and chuckled. "You still fall for my trick, Nick."
"Ugh, why do you have to always do this with me?" He gave a dramatic expression.
"So is it true that you are again working for that manipulative witch? Like, come on, this time it can be more dangerous now that people know you. Often you make the top headlines; any trouble will destroy your reputation." Nick warned Kaira.
"She has something because of which I can't back out, and it's just one last killing; it doesn't matter much." She shrugged her shoulders.
"But this is Kabir. Kaira." Nick tried to make sense to Kaira.
"What about it then? Just because he is some red devil because he turns red in anger, I have seen the worst. Trust me, Nick." She laughed at her words.
"Red Devil, not because he just turns red, but because it is believed that he is cursed. Cursed to be a devil and create destruction." Nick whispered.
Kaira stared for a long time at Nick's face and laughed. "You belong to a powerful mafia family, and you are talking about devils and curses." I didn't know you were into such stuff."
"My family business was completely ruined when he came, but after his alliance, it was possible for us to maintain our power, and since you left the mafia world a year ago, a lot of stuff has changed." Nick grabbed her hands and said, "I want you to stay safe."
Their conversation was interrupted by car honking, and Kaira turned to look at a black Lamborghini, which was trying to enter Kaira's law firm. As Kaira was about to reach for it, Nick whispered. "Don't; it is Kabir's car. Just let it pass."
"What is he doing here?" Kara thought to herself, and suddenly the whole environment turned tense around her.
