The world has changed, but the rules stayed the same even in this new world of evolution, it\'s kill or be killed in our world. The world of the Mafia.
I was speeding through alleyways dodging and ducking from the silver bullets that were flying after me. I was lost, hating to admit it, but I knew one thing for sure, this was somewhere in the town of Ferinhood. Looking over my shoulders as I ran, I noticed the three men chasing me with their rifle sized modified weapons, that glowed blue. It didn’t help the fact that no matter where I ran, the moonlight would show my figure in the darkness.
“Ugh!” I grunted as I felt as sharp pain run through my right leg. My stride got slower as the blood started coming out of my leg.
Dragging my feet thinking I would at least make it to the middle of town another bullet went through my left calf. My stride became a slow pace, as my slow pace became a crawl. Crawling on the floor in pain and starving I slowly made my way towards a blue car. The car itself was in tatters, the windows were bust out, tires were missing, and not to mention the doors were gone.
I set my back towards the car moving my head slowly side to side looking for something to defend myself against the attackers. Everything started to get hazy no thanks to my blood loss, but I could make out the three men as the strode closer to me. Wearing a grey mask with two tubes running from the mouth towards their backside and their blue eyes staring me down one approached me slowly as he took off his mask.
“Subject 14 has failed us. We are to terminate the subject at once.” He said objectively as be pulled off his mask to reveal his short brown hair and hazel eyes that looked cold as the ocean water. This man had four scars running down the side of his face that made his demeanor look even more badass as he put his rifle behind his back.
“Funny story isn’t it, how our roles got reversed. It was us hunting you, now it’s you hunting us.” Those were the words that I really didn’t want to say, but I had to anyways. I was in the middle of an abandoned town, no one in miles of this place, there was no hope.
The man pulled out his sidearm which looked like a modified 45. magnum that had blue trimming all around it. He slowly pointed it at my head, with no remorse I laid their ready for my faith. Blinking one time thinking it would be over, I looked up and the man was standing their tilting over. Then he staggered onto me, as I tried with my last strength to push him to the side. The other two men looked behind them as a bright light flashed upon them making them cover their eyes.
In a flash, their heads came off of their body and rolled on towards the ground. Holding one hand over my forehead I tried to see who it was that decapitated these two men. All I had seen was a white katana with red blood coming down it as the person walked towards me. She was beautiful, her long jet black hair flowing in the gentle breeze as she wiped the katana off. Her face was fuzzy, probably from all the blood loss I had suffered. As she came closer, she held her hand out to me. Just as I was about to grab it, my body instantly shut down.
“Welcome back boss.” she said softly, as I slowly drifted towards unconscious
Chapter 0
Feeling refreshed, my white short hair bending to one side as the wind blows. I walk through the black metal gates of Franklin Academy. A school that was founded 150 years ago, it was a private academy which to people on the outside looked like it could be a castle. I slowly let out a sigh as I continue to walk towards the front entrance of the school.
I am addressed by two teachers who are checking to make sure everyone is in uniform. One was a nicely built gym coach the other one was a slim teacher. I nodded my head as I strolled past them going straight for my locker.
Taking off my white sneakers I opened my locker and traded them with my black slacks that we had to wear. I felt a tap on my shoulder then, I heard a familiar voice.
“Sup man.” The voice said nonchalantly.
Looking up to the voice, it was none other than my best friend Eli. Eli was 15 years old the same as me, he was 5’6 and was well built. He brushed his black hair backwards and lets out a small sigh.
“Hey man, everything alright?” I asked him intently.
“No, everything isn’t alright Sarah thinks i’m cheating on her with Amber.”
I point towards the hallway as we start walking towards class. “Why would she think that. Three years steady and now she thinks something's up. You must have given her a good reason to doubt you.”
“I have done nothing wrong.” He answers quickly.
“Then what?”
“Amber is spreading rumors that I have been flirting with her for the past month and that I am done with Sarah. I don’t know why she would even do that, I have enough drama as it is dealing with my grades.”
“Amber just wants something she can’t have.” I tell him in a reassuring tone.
“Yeah, maybe. But this is the last thing I need right now, considering I have all these scouts looking at me. One wrong move and it could all be over in the blink of an eye.”
We enter room 104 which belonged to Mr. Hall, only to see a familiar face whose head was glued to her math book. I walk over and tap her on her shoulder, she jumps up in fright.
“Woah, calm down Amy, it's just me.”
“Yes, luckily it was just you and not Mr. Hall. He would have killed me if he found out I am doing last night’s homework in class."
“What's this? The blonde haired beauty that has held the top grades in our year is doing her homework. Someone sound the alarm, it's the end of the world.” Eli adds.
Amy quickly turns bright red as she hits Eli in the shoulder playfully. “Look, things happened and I didn’t get to do my homework. It’s not my fault.” She said.
“Excuses, excuses.” Says Eli while laughing lightly.
“It’s true, it’s my mom's fault for having me do her part of the chores last night. I didn’t get done until 6pm and to make matters worse I had to cook for eight that night considering my cousins came over. They kept me from doing my work until 11 pm, I was beat and I wasn’t losing sleep over homework.
“It’s alright.” I add.
“Well, it might be alright for you, but you don’t have any worries Brandon. Your mom has enough money to send you to the best college in Michigan, even if you had bad grades. But mines on the other hand lost it while she was gambling. Now I have to work twice as hard to try and get a scholarship.” Amy began to raise her voice a little.
Before I could add anything in, the classrooms door slammed open. Standing their was a man who was 5’9 black smooth hair, a white shirt with some black jeans. He pushed his black rimmed glasses up, and moved slowly towards the blackboard. The class fell silent as everyone stopped what they were doing and went to their seats.
He turned and looked at us, pointed towards the blackboard and sat straight down in his seat with his feat on the desk.
What was written on the blackboard was:
“Page 254 Problems 1-42, Page 255 Problems 1-31 What you do not finish it’s homework.”
There was no way in hell anyone was finishing that, Mr. Hall only lived to give out homework.
I began the first few problems, but my mind slowly drifted somewhere else, which lead me to daydream. I opened my eyes only to notice I was in the middle of a grassy field, the soft breeze touching my face as it goes by. I got up and looked around not seeing a single soul around, I slowly walk towards the bottom and noticed something blue. It looks like a pond I began to think to myself, so I walk towards it. Glancing it over to see my reflection, I noticed I wasn’t alone. A figure over to the side of me was standing at the top of the hill. I snap myself back to see the figure who was standing in the middle of the orange sun.
“Brandon, you don’t belong there.” The figure says.
As I approach the figure I spot her long jet black hair, and slim figure any girl would die for. Thinking to myself who this woman was, I asked her.
“Who are you, and what do you mean I don’t belong here?”
“You have….” She began to say as she slowly faded away.
“Brandon! Wake up.” Amy yells pushing on my shoulder.
I began shaking my head waking up from my daydream and begin to rub my eyes. Trying to picture that girl again, I slowly forget what she looked like and who she was.
“Geez, what were you dreaming about? It must have been one hell of a good one considering you wouldn’t wake up the first three times I told you to.”
Noticing that the room was empty I get up from my seat. “No, I guess it wasn't that good of a dream. I was asleep for the whole class period?”
“Yeah you were, and if we don’t hurry we’ll be late to our next class.”
I grab my backpack and we head to our next class. Yawning while walking down the hall, a boy bumps into me as he was racing down the halls.
“Sorry!” He yells as he continues to run.
I spin around to catch my balance trying not to fall. My arms on the silver lockers I glance down to notice Amy under me. Our eyes meet for a moment as she blushes, I give her a soft smile but we are interrupted by the late bell. We both run to the next class, when we enter we notice through the glass window that class was in session.
“Ok Amy, this is how it's going to go down. I’m going to open the door slowly and we will crawl in and pretend like we were already in class. If we get caught, we can say I dropped my eraser and we were getting it.” Thinking about it later, the idea sounded dumb, but she went right along with it anyways.
“Ok.” She utters in agreement.
I slowly begin to open the door, as Joe looks down at us. I whisper to him to turn around, and he does so. As I close to door it makes a loud creak noise and the teacher turns around swiftly. She walks through the aisles and looks at us, I slowly begin touching to floor foolishly looking for an eraser so it could go along with my excuse.
“Well, what do you have here?” She says.
“We are looking for my eraser.” I say while I show a small smile on my face.
“An eraser really, is that the best you can come up with. You sit five seats ahead, and your eraser flew all the way back here.”
“Would you believe me if I said yes?”
“No. But even if I did, it wouldn’t take two, to get one eraser now would it.”
“Fine, you caught us. We were walking to class, when I noticed I had forgotten my English book. So I asked Amy if she would come back to get it with me.” I said on the fly as I was rapidly thinking of an excuse that could actually be brought.
“Is that true Ms. Harper?”
“Yes it is Mrs. Cruiz.” Amy nods her head as she agrees.
“You two, stay after my class, and write me a page on how we should never forget our English books for class.”
“How about a half page, if I tell you how stunning you looked in that black dress and white blouse you had on?” I asked with my puppy dog face on.
“How about two pages for sexual harassment?” She adds.
“No, no a page is good.” I grin.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Take your seats.” Mrs. Cruiz says pointing to our seats.
I wasn’t lying when I said she looked stunning in that outfit. Mrs. Cruiz was bomb, and everyone in school knew it. Those curves, and curly black hair made her look even better. All the girls at Franklin Academy wanted that figure, because all the guys had the hots for her, even if they had a girlfriend already.
Mrs. Cruiz walked to the front of the class and continue to talk. “Before I was interrupted, I was saying that today we are going to learn about three forms of writing. Novels, Light Novels, and Short stories.”
As class dragged on, I felt sleep starting to take over my eyes. Drifting between sleep and reality, the world around me started to change. I was in the gym looking at a bright light, tons of people were screaming and running past me. Lots of blood going everywhere, I turned right and seen Amy with her mouth covered grabbing my hand and making me follow her. It seemed like time went faster as now we were with Eli heading down the hall. Then a man in black was on some rubble holding a decapitated head in his hand looking at us.
“Brandon!”
I shake my head as I drift back to reality. I stood up in a flash looking around as the rest of the class start to laugh.
“As I was saying. What is the difference between a Short story and a Novel.” Mrs. Cruiz asks me.
I knew the answer, but my mind was all jumbled up at the moment, that I couldn't even think straight.
"The answer is a short story is written by someone, per say us, students and usually isn't as long as a novel which has been professionally edited."
"Very well, that's an acceptable answer, but not the answer I was looking for." Mrs. Cruiz said as she made a hand gesture for me to sit in my seat.
I find myself staring at Amy's short brown hair. She was perfect from head to toe, but for as long as I have known her she still hasn't had a boyfriend. The question of why not kept running through my head for the rest of the class period.
A few hours later I was headed to lunch ready to sit and finish our discussion from earlier. I hurried to the lunch line only to find out that today's lunch was not the mouth watering mashed potatoes and salisbury steak I was hoping for. Instead it was just that plain chicken nuggets. The watering sensation I had moments ago instantly vanished when I say those nuggets. I mean our school lunch was good and all, but the chicken nuggets tasted like that have been left out for ages.
I motioned towards the nuggets as the lunch lady handed me eight of them plus sauce. Then I proceeded to the usual table where Amy, Eli and I sat at with a few others. I didn't even want the food anymore, I was just ready to be with my best friends again.
Eli and Amy both slumped down at the table into their seats.
"Yo, how's it going?" Eli said with a big grin on his face.
"Well someone's in a happy mood aren't they." I replied.
"He sound be considering everything has been cleared up with Sarah."
"How did you know about what happened with me and Sarah Amy?" Eli questioned.
"We talk during Spanish class, about things."
I began to wonder if they talked about us, but then again trying to figure out what goes on in the female mind itself was a mystery, so I instantly gave up.
"What type of things?" Eli asked.
"Well for starters our class work, girl problems and who we like, you know the usual."
"Did she say anything about me." Eli happily said.
"Maybe, but you know you'll just have to find out later."
"Common don't do this to me Amy, we are suppose to be friends."
"Sorry Eli, girl code."
I began to laugh lightly thinking that these memories we have now shall be cherished. Our school life is close to ending, we are entering high school next year so we will all go our separate ways.
"What's so funny?" They both said simultaneously.
"Nothing, just thinking that these times we have now are almost over."
"Well yeah, but we can still hang out after school." Amy says.
"How about tonight, you both come to my basketball game, and after we can go chill at Brandon's house." Eli said putting in his input.
See this it's why I love Eli, he knows I like Amy and not only did he makes it seem like we were just hanging out, he made a date for me and Amy.
"Yeah, sounds like a great idea!" Any agreed.
"Who are y'all playing against anyways" I asked.
"The Blue Jays, they are 8-2 hopefully we win."
"No worries!" Amy reassures him.
"You guys are still undefeated, no way you guys will lose."
"Please don't say that, or you might jinx us and we'll lose."
"Eli, like I tell you, you are worrying over nothing. Just do what you normally do and everything will be alright." I say.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Yeah I knew that but still... You know I believe in all those superstitions and stuff. So to me if might jinx us and cause us to lose."
"But how hard Mr. Smith works y'all, and all those past championships you have proved y'all are a great team."
"Those were then and this is now."
The bell rings as I get up to throw my still full plate away. I tap Eli on the shoulder and tell him not to worry about it too much.
~Later that day~
Later that day I arrived at the gymnasium for wearing my tight black t-shirt and some blue denim jeans. The night is cold, cold enough that you can see your breath in the air.
As I walk closer towards the entrance I notice Amy whose leaning against the wall looking into her phone. Her red and black checkered skirt looks amazing on her with that red jacket she had on.
"Hey Amy!" I call out.
Amy glanced up from her phone and waves at me.
"How are you Brandon?"
"Pretty good." I say as I stick my hands into my pocket.
"You're late if you didn't know, the game already started."
"It's still the first quarter, it's been what...five minutes since it began."
"Doesn't matter, Eli needs our support."
She grabs onto my arm and drags me inside.
We arrive at the ticket booth, the line is long and I don't want to wait that long. I spot Mrs. Thomson going into the gym and call out to her.
"Yes, do you need something." She asked us with a confused look.
"Ugh, we were hoping you could squeeze us up in the line since we go here and all." I say.
"Why not stay out here and wait in line like the rest of these people?"
Amy begins to make a puppy dog face that makes her look at innocent. I motion towards Mrs. Thomson and ask how can she say no to a face like this.
"Well, with a face like that I can't say no can I?"
She takes us in through the staff door. The first thing you hear when the doors open is all the cheering.
Me and Amy find a seat close that's the back entrance and takes the middle seat.
"Look, there's Eli." Amy points towards the court.
.............
As I look into the court, I see Eli speeding down the court. He soon crosses past one defender in the blink of an eye.
All I could say think was, if this guy wasn't a prodigy I don't know how to describe him but as a monster.
"Eli pass the ball!"
Eli looks to his right and sees his teammate open, a defender is charging right at him though. Eli spins off the defender and passes the ball.
As Jim receives the ball another defender comes barreling towards him, but Jim doesn't back down and sets up for his shot. He shoots just before the defender is close towards him. I watch as the ball flies through the sky.
Swish! All around the crowd screams around me and Amy, and that had brought the score to 20 to 23 our way.
As the Jay-Hawks point guard makes his way down the court Eli begins to check him hard. The crowd starts stomping their feet in a rhythm then starts chanting "DEFENSE! DEFENSE!"
The roaring screams of the crowd got to the point guard it seems as he lost the ball and Eli tool that chance to take off down the court with the ball in his hand.
Dashing down the court Eli lays the ball into the hoop. Score 20 to 25.
I glance over to Amy who has her eyes glued on the court. I guess she must have noticed since she looked over at me and gave me this heart warming smile.
The whistle blew and the Jay-Hawks called a time out.
"Seems we're playing good tonight huh?" I say being cheeky.
"Yeah, but I just have this strange feeling in my stomach bran that I can't shake."
"Amy if something is wrong there's always...." I thought about what I was going to say and I just had to stop because it seemed just too inappropriate for the moment.
Amy looks at me confused, but just shakes it off as if it was nothing.
"One, Two, Three! Jay-Hawks!"
I turn my attention back onto the court to finish watching the game.
The Jay-Hawks has the ball, and are dribbling it up court. The point guard crosses past Eli, but Eli chases after him.
Eli bumps into another player who was setting a screen for him. Being momentarily stunned, Eli goes around and sees his opponent setting up for a three.
Eli just barely makes it in time before the opponent shot the ball. Elis fingertips nick the ball, but just enough to make it go out of bounds.
The Jay-Hawks run the same play again, but this time a foul is called on Jim. They get a chance to shoot two shots here. Swish! They make one, the opponent gets a chance to make another point here. The ball bounces off the back of the rim, two people jump into the air for it fighting over who will get it knowing this could be a deciding factor in winning or losing.
“Ah!”
“What happened to the power?”
Just our luck, somehow the power got turned off. Things were getting interesting too, hopefully they fix it so the game can continue.
Bang! The gymnasium doors a bust open letting the white light shine through. Standing in the doorway is a short man with dark shades on. Behind him are people with guns, pointing them in the gym. This is not good, I have a bad feeling about this.
The short man seems to be in charge of the others, as far as I can see there are about 20 of them. ‘Wait! Don’t do it.’ Too late I was thinking, he slowly put his hand in the air and snapped it forward signaling the men to fire.
Bang, bang, bang! Gunfire sounded, screams were heard. Blood was splattering everywhere, this is not how it is suppose to be.
“B-brandon! We need to leave...NOW!” Amy says with her voice shaking. She’s right we need to go, so I lead her towards the janitor's closet that's behind the bleachers.
A lone female drops to the ground, looking at us with pleading eyes. “Help me! Help me...pleas-” Her words were stopped by a bullet going straight through her head, this caused everyone to panic further.
Opening the closet me and Amy opt to stay here until those people leave. If anything we need to call the police and let them know what is happening.
Amy grabbed my arm with tears flowing out of her eyes nonstop. “W-what about...Eli. H-he is still...out the-re…”
My heart skips a beat, even when she's crying she is still the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Wiping the tears from her eyes I tell her in a reassuring tone, “It’s going to be ok, he’s a strong guy. If anyone can make it, he can.”
Grabbing my phone out my pocket I begin to dial 911. The call doesn’t go through, I don’t understand. It was working perfectly before I came into the gym, why isn’t it working now.
Suddenly me and Amy hear footsteps coming closer towards the closet. How I pray to god that they don’t come in here. Amy clings to me even tighter, I can feel her heart racing and her face has lost all its color.
Creak. The door opens and a man with a sinister smile on his face looks dead at us. “Finally found you.” He says while he aims his gun at Amy. I put my body in front of her and close my eyes.
Cough! ‘Eh, it’s not over yet?’ Opening my eyes I didn’t know what to say, the guy had a pole going straight through his heart. He was gasping for air with a mouthful of blood coming out his mouth. Tilting forward he fell onto the ground, a pool of blood appeared beneath him.
“Eli!” Amy called out.
“Man, i’m so glad you guys are safe. We need to get out of here now. These guys are fucking crazy, they are killing anyone they find.” Eli tells us.
I nod my head, “Where are we going to go? My phone isn’t working, if anything they probably jammed the phone so our calls won’t go out.”
“Same here. After I ran for my life I tried to call the cops, but the call never went through. Hell, I even tried to call you and Amy.” Eli says.
“Damn man. They probably have us trapped in here. If only we could have a safe- that's it! Why don’t we go to the safe room, it's made to survive an earthquake and tornado’s.” I said.
Amy and Eli both nodded their heads.
Eli looked at me, “Grab his gun, we’ll need it if we want to leave here alive.”
I agreed, but I wasn’t going to use it so I tossed it to him.
He tossed it back at me, “Get your shit together man. If you see them shoot, if you don’t they’ll kill you.”
Amy looked at Eli weirdly saying, “Brandon never used a gun before. You can’t expect him to be an expert.”
Eli looked at Amy and almost slapped her, or so I thought. He calmly said, “And I never killed anyone before, but I just did it. Its simple, aim, and pull the trigger.”
I grabbed Amy’s shoulder and told her, “It’s ok. Someone has to do it, let's go.”
Running down the halls we caused quite the noise, but we didn’t care. In this case if we weren’t fast enough we would die, who cares if they hear us. We took a shortcut through the cafeteria, but we should not have did that.
Upon opening the doors a man held a gun towards this kids who looked like he was just 10 years old. Strangely the lights were still on in other places, just not the gym. Having no more time to think, I hurriedly aimed the gun and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit the man in the middle of his chest, but he wasn’t dead just yet. Pulling the trigger again I let another 2 go, one through his heart another in the head.
“Wah!” The kid started crying his eyes out. I wouldn’t blame him, if I wasn’t around Amy and Eli I would be doing the same.
Eli walked over to the corpse and grabbed the man's gun, he checked the clip and clicked his tongue. “Only 6 bullets left, how many you have?”
Checking the gun out I found out how the take out the clip, “4” I said casually like I’ve done this type of thing before.
Amy looked at the child and comforted him to stop him from crying. Looking around the room there was another dead body besides the man who I just killed. It was a woman, more than likely the child\'s mother.
Eli walked over towards me and whispered, “We can’t take him. He’ll slow us down.”
I shouted, “What! We can’t leave him here to die.”
The kid started crying again, and Amy said, “I agree. If he stays here he’ll die. Let's take him to the safe room, someone was bound to call the police i’m sure they are on their way.”
Eli didn’t want to, but considering it was 2 against 1 the odds were against him. “Kid, what's your name?”
“M-michael”
I pointed towards the dead woman, “That's your mother?”
He nodded his head, I thought so.
Eli looked at me with sharp eyes saying, “Brandon, you hear that?”
Listening closely to what was going on, I heard footsteps getting closer. By the sounds of it, there was at least 4 people. More than we could take on in our current situation.
“We can’t stay here any longer. Need to go..now.” Eli said.
Amy said, “That door is the only exit, how are we going to escape?”
I pointed towards the vent that was below the table. “That works perfectly.”
Thus we began to work as fast as we could. Taking the vent apart and letting the Amy and Michael enter first. Eli went in next with me coming in last. Just a few seconds later and I would have been caught because the 4 men came into the cafeteria.
Slowing closing the vent back, I couldn’t really hear what they were speaking since they were far away. They split into 2 groups with 2 each, 2 left and 2 stayed in the cafeteria.
Coming closer to take a seat one man set down his gun and sighed. “Mike, he’s not here. I knew we shouldn’t have believed those damn hackers. We wasted our god damn time killing these people to look for him, and he’s not even here.”
The guy who was called Mike was a tall, bald black man. He was buff wearing a black suit, he looked at the british guy saying, “Don’t worry Cody. If they say he’s here, then he’s here.”
Cody got up and strapped his gun over his shoulder, “If Brandon isn’t here, i’m killing all those hackers.”
Did he just say my name. What did they want with me? I’m just a nobody, my mom's rich that's it, and dad has been missing for a few years.
Eli whispered to me to com’on. I was going to tell him, but now is not the time for this.
We crawled our way into Mr. Chavez's room. It was dark, couldn’t see crap.
“Ah!” Amy cried out, “Who touched my butt?”
Wasn’t me, but whoever it was must be lucky. Eli said it wasn’t him, and Michael wasn’t making any sounds after we left the cafeteria. I found my way towards the light switch trying not to make too much noise. Flicking it on, we found the culprit, it was the Skeleton we used for anatomy. ‘Damn old bones, getting to touch that soft bottom of hers’ I cried out within my heart.
I peeked out the door to see if the ghost was clear. Seeing as to how no one was even in the hall yet, I figured they didn’t make it this far yet. We hurriedly left the room, speeding down the hall as fast as we could.
Boom! The side of the wall exploded and the debris was sent flying all over. On top was a man in black clothing with blood on his face, and a psychotic look all over his face. Definitely the definition of a weirdo, but i’m not going to tell him that considering he’s hold a machete in his hand.
Eli didn’t even have a reaction, he aimed the gun and started shooting at him. The guy seemed like he jumped straight out of a comic or something, he was jumping off the walls dodging the bullets.
Appearing before Eli, he swung his machete and chopped off his head. Blood spurted towards the ceiling and his body collapsed.
“AHH!” Amy screamed holding onto Michael with all her might.
I looked back at her, “Run! I’ll hold him off.”
She hesitated for a bit, but her and Michael ran full speed the opposite direction. ‘This is how is should be, a real man protects the woman he loves.’ Aim the gun at him I start shooting, sadly he dodged them just like Eli’s.
He didn’t kill me though, instead he pulled out a gun from his jacket and shot Michael in the head. Amy was scared stiff, something yellow went down her leg.
“NOOO!” I yelled as high as I could. Why is he doing this, why didn’t he kill me first. I don’t know what overcame me, I used all the strength I could muster and rushed towards him like a bullet.
It seemed as if I passed through his shadow because he wasn’t there when I tried to tackle him. Making me fall onto the ground, he appeared behind amy and chopped her head off too. Tears rushed out of my eyes, “Why! Why didn’t you kill me?”
He didn’t answer me but licked the blood off his machete. Looking at me with those cold eyes, it felt like everything froze. His voice came out coldly, “Where is the drug?”
I was confused, they were killing all these people to ask about a drug. I knew once I said anything I was going to die, might as well know what drug. “What drug are you talking about? You could always check the Pharmacies.”
He started laughing at me, “Haha, trying to play dumb are you. Smart kid, I know Dan hid the drugs somewhere. You are his kid, so you must know where its at. Hand it over, and we won’t kill your mom.”
I yelled, “What! You have my mom! And my dads name isn’t Dan, its Sam.”
He looked puzzled for a bit, “Almost caught me, I know your dads name is Dan. Leader of the Cruix mafia. Specializes in assassinations and robbery, they have produced a drug called M8-Tonic. I know you know I know that you know where it is. 5 seconds.”
“Wait, I don-” “4”
He started counting, I said, “Don’t count, I-” “3”
Screaming at him I said, “I DON'T KNOW!”
“Counting takes too long, if you really don’t know we’ve wasted our time. Nighty night kid.”
He threw the machete at me, I was frozen with fear. Not moving it stuck me in my chest, I felt something leaking out of me. My body growing cold as time passes, my breath was getting slow. I couldn’t stay awake, dozing off into the darkness I closed my eyes.
