*Intellect Devourer POV
I've been walking through this forest for a few days now, and I've gotten used to my new body. During these days, the only thing I've managed to eat is the brains of some small rabbits. Extracting memories is a bit strange, but afterward, it feels as if I had remembered a life of mine, like a forgotten memory! By the way, was I really not those rabbits in past lives? The sensation was very real!... Why don't you respond when I talk to you, Sir Status?
While he was conversing with Sir Status, a bird was flying at high speed and was about to pass over him. At that moment the small bird flew overhead, an extremely thin and grotesque tentacle shot out from the base of the brain, piercing the animal, which fell instantly to the ground. The precision of the tentacle was frightening—it pierced directly and perfectly into the animal's brain, as if the tentacle had a life of its own! After that, a bloody scene unfolded with him devouring the small bird's brain. Unfortunately, this brain only satisfied his hunger because he didn’t gain any new skills. He left the animal's brainless corpse there and left the place with large, wide hops to move around, like a rabbit.
These are the skills I acquired through the rabbits' memories! Sharp Perception, Jump, and 360° Vision!

*Goblin POV
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
In another part of the forest, there was a melancholic goblin sitting on a log, sunbathing. The goblin's appearance was almost the same as a human's, but he had slightly greenish skin and two small black horns on his forehead. The melancholic goblin had a rather handsome appearance and was dressed in simple clothes; the only thing he had with him was a dagger. His name was Kodoku, and he was reflecting on his life of pure solitude.
I’m currently a wanderer roaming the world in search of memories for my dream... Before I started wandering, I was the cowardly son of the leader of an isolated goblin village. My childhood was the typical childhood of a cowardly kid, most of the other goblins my age took advantage of me and bullied me out of pure sadism until I couldn’t take it anymore and reached my limit. They said I was the reason other races consider goblins to be monsters... That’s an exaggeration, right? I know I was a bit less intelligent than average... I have no talent for swordsmanship or archery... I’m socially inept... *Yawn* none of that matters anymore. Since I had no one to talk to where I lived, I read books about many things related to this world. I understood that what truly matters for someone to be strong in this world are memories! Exactly, the more memories and experiences I have, the more skills I'll acquire! Unfortunately, I don’t have a unique skill or a good talent to succeed in life, but this is a fantasy world, right? I’m sure the more I wander, the closer I get to my dream: Be Eternal!
Can I understand what YOU are?
Suddenly, a voice echoed inside Kodoku’s mind, and he began to sweat coldly, his face darkening as time passed. Why did he become so desperate over just one phrase? Kodoku has been a wanderer for many years, and it’s natural that he has experienced many things in his life, and the moment he heard the tone and dialect of the voice, he knew exactly what it was: A demon! The demons of this world possess a unique tone of voice, and the dialect in which that voice spoke only confirmed his thoughts.
This was also the first time the Intellect Devourer heard his own voice. Apparently, he was something macabre in his previous life, but even he doesn't know that!
