ใ€ŠMana veilใ€‹? That explains everything. The speed, the strength, the resistance to my claws. Heโ€™s reinforcing his body and armor with mana. The only reason my attack worked on his comrades was my luck.

The assassin relied on intangibility, and the mage wasnโ€™t built for melee combat. However, this one was an experienced swordsman. Just as my claw was about to strike him, he swiftly use ใ€Šmana veilใ€‹"

Her lips twitched into a faint smirk as Gerg continued to rant.

โ€œItโ€™s hard for me to break your heart, little girl, but you chose the wrong guy!โ€ Gerg declared, pointing his sword downward.

โ€œThis circle right here? It's my aspect. It's called ใ€ŠKiller's Circleใ€‹, it's D grade. The moment you stepped into it, you died! Thereโ€™s not a single chance for you to win!โ€

Is he an idiot? Or maybe it's a trap? Why would he explain his power to me? And D grade? Thatโ€™s barely worth mentioning. Mine is SS, you know. Thankfully, I'm incredibly humble, Alistair wondered, resisting the urge to laugh at his bravado.

Her smirk deepened, though she didnโ€™t make a sound.

Still, even if heโ€™s an idiot, his skill isnโ€™t. Iโ€™ll give him that much.

โ€œAre you scared!? Come on, show yourself, little girl! No need to be shy! You want to suck my blood right!? Come!โ€

Is he taunting me... or flirting? The latter seems more likely. Sigh. Even the enemy canโ€™t resist me. Is this the price of being too beautiful?

Without wasting any more energy on his antics, Alistair accessed her system within her mind. Even in her intangible state, the interface appeared in her thoughts rather than her vision. She reviewed her stats and noted that her mana was almost depleted.

Almost nothing left. If what this idiot says is correct, I can just leave him here. He said that the moment I step on the circle, Iโ€™d die.

But that's only true when I actually step on it. As long as I donโ€™t, he has no choice but to wait for me, regardless of how long it takes. Knowing Iโ€™m in the shadows, he wonโ€™t dare step out of them.

Her crimson eyes shifted to the second floor.

I have no option but to wait for my mana to regenerate. Just wait for me.

โŠถโ˜ฝโ˜ฌโ˜พโŠท

On the second floor, Alistair glided through the shadows until she reached Vitoโ€™s corpse. The assassinโ€™s lifeless body lay crumpled, blood pooling beneath him and dripping from the open wound on his neck. His glassy eyes stared blankly ahead.

Alistair stood over the body, observing it with a sense of detachment.

It's strange; I don't feel disgusted. No pity. No remorse. Is it because I'm a vampire? Or was I always this way? All I feel is hunger...

The smell of fresh blood hit her like a waveโ€”intoxicating and overwhelming. Her hunger, which she had kept suppressed until now, surged forward with an unstoppable force. Her instincts took over.

Before she could think, her hands grabbed the body. Her fangs extended, sharper and longer than before. They pierced Vito's shoulder effortlessly.

As the blood flowed into her mouth, her pupils dilated, and a shiver of ecstasy ran through her. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced as a human. The taste was rich, warm, and indescribably satisfying.

Within minutes, the body had been drained, leaving it pale and lifeless.

Ahh... it tastes heavenly, she thought, her lips curling into a pleased smile.

No human food could ever compare to this.

A familiar notification appeared in her mind, pulling her attention away from the corpse.

By consuming blood, I can replenish my mana.

she noted, a smirk playing on her lips.

It seems I wonโ€™t have to leave that idiot downstairs waiting for long after all.

She flexed her fingers, feeling the increased strength and agility coursing through her body.

All my stats, except for three, increased by a grade. Just one person gave me this much. I wonder how much more Iโ€™ll gain from the two downstairs.

Her smirk widened as she turned her attention back to the first floor.

Letโ€™s find out.

โŠถโ˜ฝโ˜ฌโ˜พโŠท

Greg was still within the circle, sword in hand and a broad smile lighting up his face.

Sheโ€™s stunning. First time Iโ€™ve come across a vampire this gorgeous. How unfortunateโ€”I really donโ€™t want to kill her. I just hope my Aspect doesnโ€™t end up killing her. Well, she's a vampire. she will be fine.

I just need her to fall into my trap. By giving her information about my Aspect and taunting her, Iโ€™ve achieved three objectives.

First off, itโ€™ll wipe out her fear of the unknown. Knowing my aspect will give her the guts to attack.

Second, sheโ€™ll think Iโ€™m a dumbass, which will further boost her confidence to confront me.

Third, vampires are arrogant, prideful bastards. They canโ€™t stand humans. So what happens when humans provoke them? Haha, with these three factors, that little girl is definitely going to attack me.

"โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ"

But why the hell hasnโ€™t she attacked yet? Is my taunt not doing anything!? Is she just waiting for me to step out of the circle!? No, I need to provoke her more.

"Whatโ€™s the matter!? Are we humans that damn scary to you!? Is hiding in the shadows the only trick youโ€™ve got, bitch!?โ€

Suddenly, a voice echoed from the shadowsโ€”a soft, mesmerizing voice.

"A mere mortal dares to speak to me in such a way? How boldโ€ฆ Your intellect seems to match your lifespan. If death is your desire, I shall grant it to you nowโ€”โ€

Here it comes!

Like all my previous opponents, they always start with a faint attack, and then the second one is the true attack, he thought, his smile widening.

Suddenly, something emerged from Greg's blind spot. The moment it crossed the circle, Greg reacted by striking with his sword. To his shock, he realized it was Vito's head. Vito's lifeless eyes rolled on the ground, and the flesh that had latched onto his face blinded him. Greg gritted his teeth. Greg gritted his teeth.

You disgusting bitch!

Although he couldn't see, he sensed another object moving behind him, approaching the circle and aimed at his head. He hit the object and He could hear the sound of metal clashing.

A dagger with ใ€Šmana veilใ€‹?!

Without pausing to consider how she had learned to use the ใ€Šmana veilใ€‹in just a few minutes, a new object shot past the circle at an alarming speed.

Another attack?!

Finally, Greg regained his sight and saw a handโ€”it was one of Vito's limbs. Then, Vito's limb passed through the circle again and again for the fourth time. He cut them all, fingers and flesh splattered everywhere.

This crazy bitch! She's using ใ€Šmana veilใ€‹ to strengthen her arm and throw all those limbs!

Greg then spotted Vito's headless, limbless body rushing toward him, moving faster than them all. He cleaved the body into four parts, but the flesh splattered all over him. One of the pieces contained a dagger with ใ€Šmana veilใ€‹, which struck Greg's knee. A groan escaped his lips, but he managed to remain on his feet.

Ughh. How?! This doesnโ€™t make senseโ€ฆ Noโ€ฆ was it like this from the start?! When she threw Vitoโ€™s head, the flesh plastered on my face! Did that bitch just discover my weaknessโ€”one I never knew existed?!

Greg took a deep breath, momentarily closing his eyes to gather his thoughts. Even with his eyes shut, he could sense anything that entered the circle.

Whether it approached from above or below showcased his true Aspect ability. The information he provided to Alistair was deceptive. By sharing that misleading information, he led people to attempt attacks from both directions.

---

โ†’ Aspect

ใ€Š{C} Killer's Sphereใ€‹

The user creates a deadly sphere of sharp, pointy projectiles around their feet. Any enemy that steps into or crosses this threshold triggers swift, automatic strike from the userโ€™s weapon, launching it towards them at lightning speed.

---

Unfortunately, this doesn't work with Alistair's extremely cautious personality. When he finally opened his eyes, he found himself staring up at the ceiling.

I'm sure Vito doesn't has any more daggers left. She must have given up by now.

In any case, the ceiling looks extremely beautiful, with intricate gold patterns in each cornerโ€ฆ Ceiling?! Why the hell am I lying down?!

My sense of hearing is gone! I canโ€™t move my body, and it feels so cold. Am I going to die? But how did I end up dead? I need to know.

He summoned his last bit of strength to turn his head, and there she wasโ€”the crazy girl lying on the ground beside a cracked wall, with her figure etched into the wall.

Still, that doesnโ€™t fucking answer my question. Now Iโ€™m even more confused. What the fuck?! How in the world did I dieโ€ฆ?
