In the dawn of existence, there arose a planet largely destroyed, with only remnants of what was once a giant among various solar systems. A catastrophe extinguished its prosperity and reduced it to rubble. However, a castle remained unyielding to cosmic events: supernovas, cosmic storms, and creatures as gigantic as suns devouring everything in their path. It seemed the castle possessed the qualities of an immortal, indifferent to the forces of the universe.
Inside, there were shelves made of exotic materials found only in the farthest corners of the universes. These shelves held books, but they were not ordinary books. Each contained millions of pages with meticulous details of every story in the universe, from the life of an ant to the conquests of the most ruthless tyrant of the galaxies.
In the depths of the castle, a being covered in robes, with rough skin resembling the structure of bones, rested. It had mismatched hands: one beastly with three fingers and the other more humanoid. Its face was covered with eyes that looked in all directions. Sitting in a chair, it had before it a table with a device resembling a pencil, ready to write in a blank book.
“Let’s see, chapter one, the childhood of Doctor F…” it murmured, but its words were cut off by a loud crash. It raised its head and saw a dark, undefined figure, like a living shadow, approaching it.
“Who are you?” it asked.
The figure approached quickly, staring intently. The many-eyed being was momentarily impressed but then averted its gaze.
“If you want information, you will have to pay a great price for it,” it said.
The dark figure grabbed the being’s neck, lifting it with great force. The many-eyed being began to cough and struggle.
“Alright, alright, I’ll tell you what you want,” it protested.
It felt immediate relief when the figure released it. It coughed and touched its neck before raising its head and looking at the figure.
“What do you want to know?” it asked.
The dark figure leaned in and began to whisper words slowly in its ear. The being opened several of its eyes upon hearing those words.
“Shamonak? You want to know about the origins and history of the shamonak?” it asked again.
The figure nodded.
“Alright, follow me, I’ll tell you everything in detail,” it said, starting to walk towards an old-looking bookshelf. The passage of time had filled it with dust and dirt, but the books remained clean, as if freshly written. It grabbed one of the books and gave it a brief glance.
It returned to where the figure was and sat in the same chair, placing the book on the table and opening it for the figure to see, then decided to speak:
Origins of shamonak
Shamonak is an ancient martial art practiced by the inhabitants of the planet Aldheran, located in the solar system of Aghuman-Khazur. This discipline involves using brute strength optimally, employing various skills and techniques to unbalance or knock down your opponent. But its origins are older and more mysterious than you might imagine.
Approximately seventy thousand years ago, the planet Aldheran was nearly uninhabitable. Oxygen levels were forty times higher than necessary for life, the seas burned like the fiercest fire, and the sky was covered in red gases, giving the impression it rained blood.
These extreme conditions spawned abominable beings: the first inhabitants of Aldheran. Gigantic creatures that touched the sky, so strong they could split mountains with a single blow and so terrifying that their mere presence caused indescribable fear.
Over time, the planet changed significantly. Oxygen levels decreased, the seas remained toxic and burning, but the sky gradually cleared, allowing sunlight to enter. The colossal creatures, though still strong and large, lost some of their abilities, making life somewhat more prosperous.
From the depths of the caves in the mountains of Aldheran, the ancient thinking inhabitants of Aldheran, the Yhamak, emerged for the first time. They were beings with large horns on their heads, whitish skin, and robust bodies. Upon discovering the outside world, they were terrified by its harshness.
Initially, they tried to continue living in the caves, but thirst drove them mad, causing them to kill each other to drink blood and satisfy their basic need for water. One day, a gigantic creature fell dead near their caves, a victim of a fierce battle that had destroyed an area equivalent to a continent.
The ancient inhabitants of Aldheran emerged from their caves to investigate the creature. Its wounds were enormous, and its bones protruded from its body, but what caught their attention the most was a source of blood emanating from one of the wounds. Upon tasting that strange liquid, they noticed it was equivalent to water for them. They began to drink it frantically, making these gigantic creatures their main source to quench their thirst.
They ventured out of their caves, hunting creatures of small and medium sizes. Over time, they developed hunting techniques that allowed them to take down much larger creatures.
The gigantic footsteps of the Yhamak were terrifying. In just a few hundred years, they wiped out much of Aldheran’s animal population, causing the surviving creatures to almost disappear from the planet. It is unknown where they spent the rest of their years; they just vanished one day.

At first, the Yhamak relied on the body reserves they had, but the blood ran out quickly; the creatures were dry and didn’t yield a drop of that precious liquid. With the crisis present, they resorted to killing their own kind again. It didn’t matter if they were elderly, children, women, or sick; none were safe when a Yhamak was thirsty.
Then, a very different Yhamak was born. His stature was impressive, and his body resembled a creature’s, with the notable characteristic that one of his hands was a complete claw. No one knew why he was like that. He had grown up to youth with the love of his mother and father, but his family was taken from him by a group of Yhamak who killed their kind to bring the precious blood to their leader. The young boy watched with his own eyes as his family was killed, and his mother’s gaze told him to run.
He followed his instincts and ran, ran as far as he could until he got lost in unknown regions of the planet. Twenty years passed since that event. The tyranny of that group had terrorized the planet, and only those related to or joined them survived.
One day, when least expected, a peculiar figure appeared on the horizon. He was tall, over three meters high, with a powerful body that showed fierce training and scars that told different stories. That figure was the boy who had disappeared, now turned into a warrior with a fighting style of his own: shamonak
This style was not designed to make the weak strong, but to make the already strong even stronger. His imposing power made its presence felt on the planet, immediately defeating the leader of the group that had terrorized the population for so long and freeing his people from oppression.
Taking on the role of leader, he implemented all the qualities of a great ruler. He established just laws, promoted the prosperity and abundance of his people, and allowed creatures to return to the planet. Though they were still hunted for their blood, it was done to a lesser extent, allowing the planet’s natural cycle to be restored.
The young warrior, whose name was Yhamataw, married and formed a large family, fathering a total of eighteen children. He taught each one the shamonak, spreading this discipline throughout the planet. However, aware that Aldheran’s true prosperity depended on making the seas drinkable, Yhamataw embarked on a risky mission to the cold zones of the planet, so cold they could freeze bones in seconds.

Yhamataw
Aware of the danger, he bid farewell to his wives and children and set out for the icy lands. Upon arrival, he struck the base of one of the biggest ice-covered mountains with an open palm, breaking its base and causing it to fall slowly. With great effort, Yhamataw carried the mountain to the seas. With his last strength, he lifted the mountain as high as he could and threw it into the sea, transforming the color of the seas into a bright blue. People approached to drink the water and discovered it was drinkable.
Yhamataw, however, remained standing, looking at the horizon without any movement. One of his most loyal friends examined him and noticed his pupils had turned white and his heart was no longer beating; he had died of exhaustion.
Yhamataw’s descendants fathered numerous children over the millennia, spreading their lineage across Aldheran. However, a devastating plague struck the planet, killing most of Yhamataw’s descendants. This plague, known as the “Blood Scourge,” affected most Yhamak, reducing Yhamataw’s proud lineage to only a handful of survivors.
Only one lineage managed to withstand the plague’s onslaught, thanks to a combination of innate resistance and ancestral wisdom. The most modern and notable representative of this lineage is a Yhamak named Tawnylon.
Techniques of shamonak
Yhamataw: Named in honor of the technique that immortalized the name Yhamataw, it is an open-palm strike designed specifically to cause the greatest dispersed damage to the opponent. There are several methods to use it, such as using both hands to increase effectiveness or frenetically striking the opponent with this technique to destabilize them. Although this technique is the simplest, it is said that the most skilled in shamonak were capable of splitting seas in half just by using the yhamataw in the air.
During the 'shamonak to death,' it is said that competitors who mastered the yhamataw were almost invincible, capable of disarming their enemies with a single movement of the hand.
Suplex: A technique known across all universes, is just as simple as the Yhamataw but tremendously effective. It involves positioning yourself behind the opponent, grabbing their waist, and then pulling them backward with all your strength, causing their head to slam hard against the ground. This technique can be executed in various ways; for example, by pulling your opponent backward and then releasing them, allowing them to fly several meters and cause significant damage upon impact.
Heart shatter: A dangerous move primarily used in life-or-death situations. The one who employs this technique tries to drive their fingers into the chest of their opponent, aiming to reach their heart. If the technique proves effective, it can squeeze the heart of the opponent or, with a simple movement, stop the blood circulation, causing the recipient of the damage to be knocked out immediately. This technique is typically prohibited in normal shamonak matches and can only be used in shamonak to the death competitions.
Bhatzaran: A stomp that makes the whole skeleton tremble, it is used to intimidate the opponent or also for body conditioning. It is used in combat when the opponent is on the ground: the leg is raised along with the foot and brought down with full force, trying to hit an unprotected part of the body, such as the chest or head. With enough training, it is capable of making the ground shake, destabilizing the opponent.
Ghokmeran: One of the most devastating moves in shamonak involves charging towards the opponent and ramming them with the shoulder. The timing and speed of impact are akin to being struck by a one-ton beast at over two hundred kilometers per hour, enough to fracture the entire skeleton of anyone unlucky enough to be hit by this technique.
Tomaketan: The last known technique of shamonak, and the most difficult to learn and master, involves positioning oneself in front of the opponent to leverage grip strength and grab their back, sinking the fingers into their spine. Then, the opponent is lifted, and with a small jump, their head is slammed against the ground. This technique is extremely challenging due to the proximity to the opponent and the resistance they can offer. Feared for its ability to leave an opponent defenseless and gravely injured with a single move, it demonstrates the intensity and skill required to excel in shamonak.
"Even if my bones are broken, even if my heart stops its rhythm, my body will still fight, against everyone who dares to defy my path, against everyone who wishes for my burning flame to be extinguished. "
