Bored

Walking listlessly down the street thinking about nothing and feeling bored to death. Having nothing better to do the guy looks up att the moonless sky void of stars, thinking about where they went.

Dumbfounded to see a sudden twinkle in the sky his gaze became more focused.

What can it be? Will the sky once again be beautyfullt painted by stars?

No!

The shimmering light was not a star and its radiance only grew more intense.

If not a star, then what can it be? Is it a rock which finally will end this sorry life of mine or is it aliens who seek peace?

No!

It was only an illusion and the light faded as quickly as it came.

His eyes grew dim and he realized he had stopped walking. Sighing the guy once again picked up his pace and began strolling through the street. Passing through a Paifang he entered a forest.

The trees quickly enclosed him, the covered up it seemed like he entered a new world, but without a companion and noone to share the experience with, his pace could only remain constant without excitement or happiness.

The destitute man not knowing how long he had walked soon entered a clearing. In the center of the clearing lay a big stone.

No!

It was a rock. Anyway upon that very rock a vague figure could be seen. Hopefull he strode closer to verify his vision. While coming closer many thoughts went through his mind.

Am i seeing things again? I better not get too happy, it will only make me sadder. If only I could find someone to share my life with...

Soon the figure became clear and nice looking girl could be seen. She was slender and somewhat pale with raven hair and blood red lips curved into a faint smile.

Her eyes was closed and you could truly say she looked like a sleeping beauty.

The man somewhat shocked by the aura this beauty exuded, he could not believe his eyes. Still with tears streaming down his cheeks and renewed of energy filled with hope, a mad rush was instilled.

Finally! I won't be alone anymore, maybe there's still hope for mankind. We could start anew, make this place great again.

No!

The woman was dead and so was his hope. In one final try he tried taking her pulse before slowly walking away. Stricken with grief and a hollow heart, he learned his lesson to never make a goose out of a hen.
