Prologue

War has ravaged across America, the United States has fallen apart and the President has fled. The economy crashed and America erupted into chaos, murder and starvation began to rule within it's borders. Congress held a secret meeting underground and they finally drew up a plan to set America back on track. They would revert back to the old way of doing things, with some obvious exceptions. They voted a new king and queen to rule over America. All of the weapons were taken away from the people and the women traded in modern clothes for fancy dresses. The old world began to vanish as the new rulers took over. The first king and queen divided America in half, and then into eight sections. The king and queen placed two overseers for each section, one boy and one girl. There was only a small requirement, that the overseers be seventeen when they begin their job and nineteen when they end it. The king and queen wanted young people because their minds would not be polluted by political correctness. They would each have an opinion that would not be swayed as easily as an adults. The fresh minds would assist the king and queen in decision making and inform them about their sections. The integration began and it was a struggle between the old and new. The first king and queen died out, successfully establishing a government that remained strong during their reign. A new king and queen have now taken their places, King Marcus and Queen Lily. They have been on the throne for a three years now, but is not as simple as it may seem. The western states are beginning to rebel, threatening violence upon the crown. They swear they have been wronged by the government. This might seem true, as the East seems to be in good health, but the West is falling apart. Starvation and violence are rampant in the West, and the crown has been ignorant. Now the West is slipping through their fingers. Can peace ever be obtained or is America broken beyond repair?
