Bootstrap Paradox story:
One day while in school, Andrew was astonished when he witnessed someone who looked like him come out of a portal. This individual explained himself as a future version of Andrew, who went by the name of The Prime. The Prime explained when he was Andrew that same day, a future version of himself gave him a disk that allowed him to travel through time. With this disk, The Prime traveled all throughout history. He quickly traveled to a point in the future that had technology which enabled him to preserve his physical age of 16. Due to his immaturity and hatred of himself and the world around him, he acted recklessly, often seeking hedonistic pleasure and physical intimacy from various men throughout time with no regard for the impact that it would make on history. At some point, The Prime also traveled to some point in time where he received height reduction surgery that made him 5’7”. The Prime spent over 100 years traveling through time, altering points in history, creating investments that would benefit himself greatly in his present (because he knew eventually he would return to the day he had received the disk and give it to his own past self) and generally doing whatever he could for his own entertainment and amusement. The Prime gained a cynical stance, after becoming disillusioned due to seeing so much human cruelty in his travels. Though The Prime keeps a facade of kindness and approachability in order to manipulate others, he is adept and excels in manipulation, persuasion and seduction. Throughout his 100 years of traveling through time, Andrew gained insight into his own life and insight upon humanity in general, eventually maturing somewhat. The Prime is also an African-American gay cultural anthropologist renowned for superhero writing with wisdom, he has a curly taper fade, a charming personality, proficiency in Spanish and English, lean and toned body type and thick buttocks. The Prime is noted to have revisited a point in time he had traveled to, and after interacting with that version of himself (therefore creating a temporal duplicate with a diverging timeline), he forced his temporal duplicate, The Chronicler to observe and document the entire life of Andrew in a book, this is what allowed him to gain insight into his own life. The Prime’s temporal duplicate (named The Chronicler) put in his own notes and thoughts into the book and together they published the book in 1934, as a fictional book so as to avoid gaining suspicion. The Prime disabled the physical age preserving qualities of The Chronicler’s tech, forcing him to age normally, and after observing his own life, The Chronicler is a wise man left in a wheelchair in his late nineties. The Chronicler, though technically held captive by The Prime, The Chronicler has a peculiar relationship with The Prime in which they operate out of mutual benefit. The Chronicler doesn't just observe and document things, he also uses his elderly appearance to appear inconspicuous when he visits points in time and gains vast amounts of wealth, often by becoming a businessman, which helps to fund the efforts of himself and The Prime with advanced technology, a private army, etc. In Andrew's present day, The Chronicler is a well-known CEO of a wealthy mega-corporation which secretly backs The Prime, The Chronicler uses this identity as a CEO to remain inconspicuous. He also employs time travel in order to save The Prime from lethal situations, often saving The Prime right before he would face certain death.

The Prime's wardrobe prioritizes functionality without compromising style. His clothing is designed to adapt seamlessly to the challenges of time-traveling and exploring various historical periods. Expect garments that are durable, weather-resistant, and versatile. The Prime may sport elements of tactical gear such as fitted jackets with multiple pockets, reinforced pants, and lightweight vests. These pieces serve both aesthetic and practical purposes, allowing him to carry essential tools and gadgets discreetly. His outfits feature modular components that can be adjusted or reconfigured based on the demands of different eras. For instance, a convertible backpack that doubles as a cape for dramatic effect. The Prime's clothing incorporates advanced textiles with moisture-wicking properties, temperature regulation, and self-repair capabilities. These fabrics enhance comfort and endurance during his travels through time. Colors like charcoal gray, matte black, beige, and dark brown dominate The Prime's outfits, providing a versatile foundation that complements a range of historical settings. He has technology such as beaded bracelets equipped with holographic technology allowing him to display anything he can conceptualize. The Prime opts for sleek, durable footwear that bridges fashion and function, futuristic boots with shock-absorbing soles.
The Prime, after a century of traveling throughout time, has knowledge in hand to hand combat and despite his physical age being that of a 16 year old, he has the physical qualities of a human at their peak. He wields a semi-automatic pistol. He can use his disk to quickly summon armies and various forces from across time to fight for him. He often enjoys bringing armies and various reactions from the past to fight for him. He also enjoys summoning Titan sized robotic versions of himself from the future to fight for him. In combat, he often employs the disk and uses it to travel into the past of his opponent to create disadvantages for them in the present moment. He can also revisit points in time he has already travelled to in order to create branching versions of himself similarly to how The Prime created The Chronicler, though this is done sparingly and with the collective guarantee that only one version of The Prime will be left alive.
The disk allows The Prime to travel through any point in time and conversely, travel anywhere through space while doing so. It CANNOT use temporal energy.
Now we return to Andrew standing before The Prime (who is 116 years old but appears 16) The Prime offered the disk (which The Prime had eventually learned was a harnessed black hole which allowed for its temporal abilities) to Andrew. The Prime knew that his past self was quite insecure and self-loathing and he used this to his own advantage. He told Andrew that he could use the disk to go back in time and inject some nanites (which The Prime had also given Andrew) into himself as a newborn baby. These nanites would transform the toddler into a girl who would grow up to be lighter skinned and quite beautiful, The Prime also leveraged Andrew's want to be with Tegan (Andrew's unrequited love who is a straight man) saying that as a girl, he wouldn't face the same societal and familial judgements and he (as a girl) could finally be with Tegan. When Andrew retorted, asking why The Prime didn't do it himself, The Prime said that if things went wrong, his pervasive presence through time and history would be altered and it could cause catastrophic damage to the space-time continuum.
Throughout his journeys through time, The Prime has been worshipped by various cultures but he always ensured that his existence remained anonymous. Ancient humans worshiped him as a bringer of light because he was able to use his phones flashlight to aid them in survival. He was a wealthy plantation owner (despite being African-American himself) in America during the 1800s. He has ties to every single organization and affiliation throughout all of history whether through alternate identities, or similar and he can call upon these for aid.
The Prime and The Chronicler worked together to gather every single book that had been lost, burned or destroyed throughout history and placed it into a vault underground that was set to open on the day that The Prime and The Chronicler would arrive in the present. The vault was attached to a nuclear warhead so any attempts to force the vault open would be cataclysmic.
See, The Prime wants to convince Andrew to go back with the nanites and change himself so desperately because going back in time will start the loop that created The Prime in the first place, ensuring his existence. The Prime also wants to use his knowledge acquired through time travel to go back to the beginning of humanity and become the rulers of humanity for all of time, using his knowledge to teach and advance civilization while also feeding into his ego, knowing that he led humanity to greatness. The Prime sees himself as “the future” so his ambition doesn't stop there. He keeps the following goal a secret from everyone but The Chronicler but though he does want to rule humanity, he ultimately wants access to all human knowledge and experience, and by ruling humanity he would have the time and resources to work towards this goal. The Prime wants to do this with Antoinette (the resulting version of Andrew that would be created if Andrew went back in time and injected his infant self with the nanites). As Andrew resists The Prime’s attempts to convince him, The Prime grows more and more frustrated and hostile in trying to force Andrew to take the disk and go back in time, going from using holographic images to create idealistic images of the life Andrew could have if he went back in time, to actively employing fear, intimidation, violence and coercion on Andrew's friends and family and Andrew himself to try to get Andrew to go back in time.
This culminated in a battle where The Prime grew so furious that he engaged in a “boss battle” of sorts against Andrew, drawing a spear. He concluded that if Andrew was going to be so stubborn as to want to stay in that life, that he would ruin that life for him in front of the whole world. He used a camera that displayed onto every TV and phone in the world even as they moved through space and time. He fought Andrew by transporting him through multiple points in time and space, using the advantages of each time period to deliver devastating damage. He transported himself and Andrew 10,000 feet in the air then grabbed Andrew's arms and swung Andrew into 1980’s New York where he swung Andrew back first into a moving train. He transported Andrew into the 1800’s and had him get brutalized by the KKK, then he transported him into a dark cave where he displayed holographic projections of every horrible moment Andrew had ever experienced while taunting him, all the while the entire world was forced to watch through the camera that The Prime was using. Finally he transported Andrew and himself into the Arctic where he immobilized Andrew by sticking his spear through his hand and into the ground, finally giving Andrew an ultimatum where he would kill someone close to Andrew as a baby if he did not go back in time. But Andrew managed to seize the shotgun that The Prime was holding and shoot him in the head, stopping the threat but leaving Andrew very damaged both mentally and physically.
Sometime later, The Chronicler pulled The Prime from a point in time previous to when he had been killed (which is what he does for The Prime, it's how he saves him from lethal situations). The Prime, now more motivated than ever to get Andrew to go back in time, set on his mission once more. See, after all this time, The Prime only has about a chronological week before he ceases to exist because Andrew has not started the loop that perpetuates his existence so The Prime is growing more and more desperate.
