Arthur had a dream. He was offered a chance to safe a world, with thousands of people desperately fighting and hoping, for some one, any one to rescue them.
He felt, that there was only one way to answer.
So he exepted. Suddenly he woke up from the dream by aprupt movement and intense nogia.
He doubled over and only barely kept his stomach to himself. It helped, that he hadn't eaten already. When he got up, he just wanted to go to the bathroom, and drink a hot tee. But as soon as his eyes lifted ge froze.
The scene in front of him was unreal. It was so beautiful, that he couldn't process it for a while.
On the horizon, the first light of the sun crested the hills, mixing vibrant red, orange and yellow with the blue and white of the sky. The silver crest of the moon flooted ethereal in its transparency.
Stolen novel; please report.
He stood a few meters from a cliff, overlooking the Wildness below.
He didn't know how long he stood there. The air streamed clear an refreshing into his lungs, and the birds sang.
After an unknown amount of time, it felt as if it was only the blink of an eye and the eternity itself, he came back to his senses. Slowly his mind focused on the rest of the environment. He stood on an outcropping on a mountain trail. Behind him the rock stretched in the sky, while in a bench, next to a small tree with beautiful red leaves, an old man sit. Watching him.
Wait.
What???
The old man looked at him deeep in thought.
'So, you finally sent someone'
He murmured softly.
'Tell me something son' he continued, 'have you come to safe the people of this world?'
Still trying to process what was going on, Arthur answered as best he could 'I think so...'
'Then, if you can, please go home, here is nobody left to safe' the old man said with a sigh.
