Bloody Crystal: The Diary
November 25, 1910

November 25, 1910

I stood there, staring at the men that i just saved. I was regenerating, but as my body was fixing itself, my hunger was starting to break out once again. It was only logical for me to think that the regeneration depends on blood.

For a moment i fell in deep thoughts... Only to break that state in less than five seconds and approach the men once again.

I grabbed one's hand and pulled, raising him up with ease... Once again, something new. It is not normal for a child to be this strong... Is it ?

Anyways.

After the "pleasant" surprise i had, i decided to start moving the men outside the mansion. I had this anxiety about the fact that they could wake up at any moment, so instead of just moving them further, i moved them right in front of the stairs that lead to the entrance of the mansion, one by one.

I stared through the window at them, but they did not even flinch just yet... "Perhaps it would be a bad idea to leave them alone", i thought to myself... But i really wanted to replace what was left of the burnt clothes.

I know now that they would probably have waken up the moment i left, that's just how life likes making fun of me... But i did not have such philosophy as a child.

That hunger was still lingering... I just had that deep hope that they would leave right after waking up.

I left the window and slowly walked towards the main hall, where the stairs to the next floor where.

Attempted to avoid the sight of the mutilated corpses... If you could even call them "corpses" at this point. Colorless organs, the only blood left from there was the one infused in the carpet.

Arriving at the stairs, i went up. To the right, there was a hall with multiple rooms, including my parent's - where mother was "resting".

To the left, the same concept of hall with multiple rooms was present, but with my own room there.

I avoided the right side like there was a monster there, waiting for it's prey. Ironic wording, seeing what happened later...

Oh my, i should not spoil anything.

Once i got into my own room, i took a look in the mirror, only to realize what a horrifying view that was - Me, covered in blood and dust, burnt clothes... My red shining eyes, "just like precious rubies" ( As someone special describes them now )... And my smile that was exposing my fangs.

With that sight, i realized something about myself...

I needed a shower.

Before doing what i had in mind, i took another look through the window, but this time the one from my room... Only to notice the men missing.

Did they leave ?

Did they get back in the mansion ?

It was raining now. I enjoyed the rain, but i did not enjoy actually being in it, so i thought that the grown men would be thinking the same.

Well, whatever it was, i opened the door of my room slowly, to avoid any noise, then i peeked... Seeing just the hallway.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

So i left the room, walking with my arms behind my back, towards the main hall... Only to hear a man scream from the right side of the second floor.

I did not move just yet. I felt overwhelmed... By the probably haunting sight i'll see there, by the hunger that was only growing... And by the fact that the same people from before were foolish enough to put their lives on the line once again.

There was no time to waste, that was obvious. So i just forced myself to walk there, my whole body trembling, only to be greeted by...

One of the men swinging my father's sword around and another pretending to be attacked by it and "screaming".

The sword wielding man suddenly stopped messing around and looked at me, right into my eyes.

"What the hell is that... ?" He said.

"You are not going to pull that prank on me again." The other mumbled, crossing his arms.

A thunder was heard from the outside. I flinched a little and let out a gasp.

Yes, i was scared... But that sounded differently from the view point of the men... So that gasp made the one man that was facing his back towards me turn around.

Now i know that i can see in the dark better than humans, but then i did not know.

So what they were seeing was probably two glowing red eyes... And after thunder, the electrical energy named lightning would follow... Which has illuminated the hallway for a second, making an even more frightening sight... The one i also saw in the mirror.

They probably felt "fear" at that moment... However, they had training, so after the shock they felt, the armed man quickly raised his sword and ran towards me.

In their sight, i was probably a monster, waiting for it's prey. I did not know what to do, i was panicked. I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth, only to hear a loud "clank" noise.

I felt what was happening.

I opened my eyes and saw the edge of the sword, which was in my mouth, held by my fangs.

I once again did not know how to react, so i just panicked more, resulting in me clenching my teeth harder... Followed by the edge of the sword breaking.

What was i supposed to do then ? That was terrific. I just instinctively gulped the edge.

Now the men were actually terrified, letting out unusually high pitched screams.

I tried saying something, but they ran the opposite side of me... Eventually locking themselves in a room.

Now that i think about it, perhaps if i were to leave them be, they would have eventually left the mansion... But i did not think about that then. Instead, i went to the door and knocked.

"Hello... ?" I said, with a worried voice.

"Stay away !" One of the men screamed, completely ignoring my attempt to communicate... Or perhaps they did not even hear it.

Another knock from me, louder.

And another, harder.

And once more... Too hard. So hard that it made a hole in the door. A hole through which i could observe the men screaming and jumping through the window, due to a moment of panick.

I looked there, frozen.

What people do without realizing...

I ran outside, to the side of the mansion, through the rain... The sight was not pleasant.

A pool of blood beneath their breathless bodies, with glass shards sticking out of them...

Blood...

The blood was the first thing that stood out to me...
