Yuna and Tatsumi arrived at the location where the Bishop they were seeking named Maria was said to be located. except the town they arrived at was desolate filled with decaying buildings which had vegetation growing wildly across them. As they walked Tatsumi couldn't help but wonder where everyone was, it was mid day surely this place would be busy with people.

Out of an alleyway just ahead of them a figure stepped out of the shadows, A large hooded black cape concealed any noticeable features, except for the fact the figure was indeed human at least in appearance.

Tatsumi slowly stepped towards the figure.

"Excuse me, are you ok, what happened here" Tatsumi asked as he moved ever closer to the mysterious figure.

As he got closer he could hear the figure mumbling something it was muffled by Tatsumi could make out what was being said.

"Praise her, for she has granted us salvation from the devil, praise her for she has granted us salvation, oh great and powerful Maria praise our holy matron for she is our world"

"Maria, So you know her, we are looking for her can you tell us where she is" Tatsumi asked.

The figure gave no response aside from repeating his previous phrase.

"Enough of this" Yuna called out from behind Tatsumi.

Yuna rushed forward fast than Tatsumi's eyes could have tracked, she grabbed the figure by the throat and lifted him several feet of the ground with one hand. "Now lets see what you have to tell us"

Yuna's eyes shifted from their usual Violet color to a crimson red, sharp fangs sprang out from her mouth, she pulled the figure close and viciously sunk her fangs into his neck. The figure let out a few pained groans, blood pooled out of the horrid wound in its neck. Yuna eventually relented her attack as the figures frame went limp and collapsed to the floor with a THUD.

Tatsumi could now see the figures face, it was an ordinary person, a male, looked to be middle aged, who was now lying perfectly still on the ground with a pool of blood accumulating around the gaping wound in his neck.

He knelt down next to the corpse, "Is he-"

"Yes he is dead, but more than that by feeding on his blood i was able to see everything he has seen and i have located where our target is" Yuna responded bluntly whilst wiping fresh blood from her black dress.

As she turned to carry on walking through the town, Tatsumi stopped her.

"Wait..... Did he have to die" he said with a look of concern on his face.

Yuna stopped in her tracks, shot him a cold glance and then continued to walk her heels making small clacking sounds against the concrete.

"According the the information i received from the individual in the town we will find the Bishop Maria at the church just outside the town" Yuna announced as she flicked her hair behind her shoulder.

Tatsumi gave no response.

Yuna did not bat an eyelid at her underlings new found silence. the pair set off in silence towards the old church.

Yuna Pushed the large doors to the church open, A large resonating THUD echoed through the room as the doors swung against the walls. A large rectangular room lay ahead, with 2 rows of benches each with individual seats on either side of the room.

Tatsumi could see a person sitting at each seat, from the looks of them they were the townfolk from the wasteland that WAS the town they arrived in. each individual was wearing a gold cross around their necks and had their hands clasped together as if they were praying.

At the very end of the room was a Large alter with a decorative statue of a priestess hanging over it. In front of the Alter stood a woman, she wore a beautiful white dress that flowed down to the floor, her hair was beautifully golden and her eyes a emerald green.

"Maria" Yuna called out.

The girl stared at Yuna intently. "Ahhhhh Miss Yuna hello there, i was wondering when you would make your presence known to me" Her voice was like running water smooth and fluid.

"I trust you know why i am here" Yuna stated.

"Yes, you are here to complete your task of slaying me and my brothers and sisters in arms, you are leading a crusade against heaven and its angels" Maria spoke with a voice as calm as water.

"Then this talking nonsense is pointless and time consuming, now lets end this shall we" Yuna stated with fiery intent.

"Ever the impatient one aren't we miss Yuna"

Yuna stretched out her right hand to her side.

"SUMMON BLOOD TAKER"

A large cylindrical pool of blood erupted out of the ground beside her, it stayed swirling in motion for a moment and then dissipated revealing a large sword with a serrated edge that tinged red, the handle was decorative and took the form of a serpent with its jaws wide open as if greeting the blade itself.

"Head hunting reaper" Yuna shouted her command as she swung her sword in an arch in front of her, a large wall of crimson blood erupted in front of her revealing a hooded black figure wielding a large scythe. The reaper wasted no time in unleashing its unrelenting assault as it swing the large weapon aiming for the neck of Maria.

"Veni" Maria said in a cool and calm voice.

Before the scythe could complete its path of destruction towards its angelic target, one of the individuals who was seated in the church praying lept to its priestess defense taking the full force of the blow. the head of the praying individual was now rolling grotesquely and somewhat comically along the floor.

Maria gave a slight chuckle.

"Is that your best Yuna Godfrey, i honestly expected more of the so called Queen of the Abyss, but you have proven to be a disappointment, and now for the crime of killing my servant i think i will have the rest of them tear you limb from limb" Maria said in a confident voice.

Maria raised both of her hands high into the air.

"Mutatio" She said in a commanding voice.

Screams and groans suddenly bursted through the room as all of the people in the room began screaming and babbling, Tatsumi could see that there skin was bubbling and shifting, turning from its usual color to a bright blue, the heads of the individuals split open revealing what could only be described as spiderling like creatures occuping the gap where the victims head was. Tatsumi almost threw up just looking at the grotesque sight.

Yuna noticed Tatsumi's reaction.

"You see now Tatsumi, this is what the angels do, in this world even the mightiest of heavens warriors can be corrupt and they are corrupt. Maria has the power to change the genetic make up of any living thing she touches, she turned all the citizens of this innocent town into these abominations, there is nothing we can do for them now, that one outside and all these innocent people are lost to us because of her, and Maria does not scratch the surface as to what these angels are capable of so tell me..... Do they deserve to live" Yuna shot a glance of conviction at Tatsumi.

"No she deserves to suffer for what she has done" Tatsumi said whilst clenching is fist tightly, a look of rage was spreading across his face.

"And suffer she will" Yuna responded coldly.

Yuna stamped on the ground with such force the entire building they were in shook violently, a massive circle of blood erupted around her, the blood eventually dissipated revealing Yuna however she was not wearing her usual black dress, instead she was clad in dark metal armor with short sharp spikes protruding out of the arms and shoulders, Her head was largely covered by a black hood, but her piercing eyes that had no shifted from their usual violet to crimson red started daggers into Maria.

Maria had a surprised look on her face, not outwardly wanting to show any kind of fear to her adversary.

Yuna suddenly dashed forward with incredible speed she was so fast that to Tatsumi's eyes it looked like Yuna was everywhere at once, sounds of slashing and slicing could be heard ringing throughout the church but no sword strikes could be seen, the movements were lightning quick. Yuna ceased her relentless assault and returned to Tatsumi's side which he hadn't noticed straight away as his eyes were still trying to catch up with Yuna's movements.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT DID YOU DO" Maria's loud of voice echoed throughout the church.

All the mutant creatures that Maria had created were standing perfectly still, slowly one by one large gashes appeared on their necks as their grotesque deformed heads slid of their shoulders completely landing on the floor with a Thud.

"Oh its not just them, you severely underestimated my power, you were so confident in your CREATIONS to do your dirty work, you neglected to think perhaps it wasn't just them i was attacking" Yuna smiled sadistically.

"What- what is she- ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Maria let out a bloodcurdling scream as she looked at the left side of her body and realized her left arm and leg had been sliced off. her body crumpled and fell.

Yuna held out her hand with the sword held tightly in.

"Return" She let go of the blade and it sank into the floor in a dance of blood and crimson.

Yuna walked up to Maria who was kneeling on her one remaining limb groaning in pain.

"You may have bested me today Yuna, but my brethren will see to it that you pain for this, YOU WILL KNOW PAIN AND SUFFERING BEFORE THE END HALF BREED, THE DEAL YOU MADE WILL BE YOUR UNDOING AND I WILL BE LAUGHING WHEN YOU ARE SCREAMING IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL!" Maria yelled in defiance.

"Half Blood" Tatsumi said as if pondering Maria's meaning behind those words.

Yuna gave no response to Maria's verbal onslaught.

"You angels truly are heartless being aren't you" Yuna said as she reached her right hand backwards before thrusting it deep into the chest of Maria, with tremendous force, Maria's body jerked and shaked at the physical trauma befalling it. Yuna clutched onto Maria's still beating heart and ripped it out of her chest, Maria's body feel to the floor in a clump of flesh and blood and sinew.

"Now you truly are heartless" Yuna coldly stated as she took a bite from the heart in her hand before throwing it against a pillar on the far end of the room. Yuna span around and made for the exist, as she did she stamped on the ground with her left foot and her armor quickly dissipated in a pool of blood revealing her usual black bondage dress.

"Come on Tatsumi we are going home, we have much work to do, there is still 8 other targets out there that we need to eliminate" Yuna said in a cold yet surprisingly calm voice.

Tatsumi took one last look at the carnage of blood, bones, corpses and death that littered the church floor and walls, he then looked back at Yuna who was still making her way to the exit.

"This girl..... what is she, she is so violent and cruel but she cares, she killed those people because they were already too far gone.....who are you Yuna Godfrey". Tatsumi said internally.

He reached his hand forward.

"Hey Yuna" He called out.

"Hmmm" Yuna said in response.

Half Breed what did that mean...... this is a question he wanted to ask but seeing the carnage Yuna just left in her quake and knowing he himself is not exempt from this violence he thought better of it.

"its-n-nothing" Tatsumi said hesitantly.

The Pair made their way back to the blood Sigil just outside of the town in which they arrived in and headed back towards Yuna's Castle.
