It was a dreary day in New York, though that isn't saying much, and an average teen rolled out of bed, literally. Leon hit the floor lifting himself up with a groan and rubbing the back of his head, he was all things considered incredibly unremarkable. His hair was black, his eyes were brown, and his skin was a generous olive. Brushing his hair out of his face he began to change, the teen was well built for a kid his age with his hair reaching his shoulders, tangled and matted no less. Leon sighed and slipped into his work uniform, a green polo sporting a small graphic flower on his right pectoral, along with khakis.
Leon trudged out of his room and downstairs where a flower shop was housed and his parents spoke with customers, Leon sighed agian and fixed his posture, but on his best "Let me help you with that!" smile and walked towards the register, his mother, who was sporting the same uniform along with a visor and sunglasses, snapped towards him and smiled, "Good Morrow Kin!" he simply nodded not having the mental energy to deal with his parents 'unique' way of just existing.
"Do you mind taking hold of this register, I need to assist your father with the more prevelant plants in the back"
"Yeah, I can do that Mom."
"A thousand thanks hun! Roger I'm on my way!"
Leon watched his mom jog through an employees only door towards his father on the other side and began dealing with the hoard of customers, Leon thought to himself, "Why do so many people need flowers at nine in the morrow-I mean morning, God Mom and Dad are rubbing off on me" as Leon sat in his head absentmindedly serving patrons a small tremor shook the shop as his Dad stumbled out of the back of the store grabbing a bundle of various herbs from the display shelves and walking back through the door he had came from.
"How does growing weed cause that to happen..." Leon muttered to himself as his Mom strut out and in his direction.
"Ok hun! You can go help your Father with his endeavors now! Then we will have a lunch break! Ok?"
"Kay"
"Ok go now !"
Leon finished checking out the customer at the register and began going to the back to help with his father, his Mom quickly took his position and eagerly began helping the people in line. As Leon entered the back he walked up to his Dad who was whispering to a planter full of marjuina.
"Yes, grow strong so you may give me and my family more money...No-no you cannot do that..."

"Dad?"
"Eek! Oh hello son! I was just encouraging our fine family product to sprout!"
"Ok. Mom sent me back to help you with uh-actually she didn't say what you needed help with.."
"Oh yes, I do need some help, here hold this!"
Leon flinched slightly as his Father grabbed a beaker off a nearby table and thrust it into his hands, he watched his Dad as he gathered a few other things in his arms and rushed to another table on the other side of the room and began pouring various chemicals into a bigger beaker, Leon watched completely mesmerized by his Dad's strange talent, as he observed his Father a small bit of envy rose in his chest, but he quickly squashed it back down as his Dad beckoned him over.
"Ok son, I bet you're wondering what this is!"
Leon watched his Dad with amusement as he bounced excitedly, his parents were both hyper along with both having extroverted personalities, though a bit odd he loved them nonetheless. He decided to humor his Father and put on his best curious look, though Leon was not very good at displaying emotion so it looked more like he was hungry, fortunately his Dad was too hyped to notice.
"What?'
"It's my new and improved fertilizer, though I prefer the name 'growth serum'. It's just more classy ya'know? Anyway, this one won't kill any stock this time, I'm sure!"
Leon looked at his Dad questionly and asked gently, "...and Mom is ok with this?"
"Oh, yes! I bribed her!"
Leon snickered and followed his Dad to yet another table with two smaller pots of marijuna and stood beside his Dad as he poured his 'serum' into the one of the pots.
"Ok, now son pour yours into that one!"
Leon obeyed and poured the beaker he had been carrying into the other pot and watched as the weed withered almost instantaneously taking on a black and shriveled appearance.
"See that was the old one!" his Dad said with delight. "This new one has only a 30% chance to wither like that! And only when it's past the stage of maturity!"
"Cool."
"Yes! It is cool!"
Father and son walked out with smiles on their face or at least Leon's equivalent and joined Leon's mother at the registers, of which there were only two so Leon just kind of stood behind his parents and watched the customers with an iron eye, just in case.
This led to an unusual sight for patrons as they walked into the weed/flower shop and were met with an assortment of plants two registers with a loud middle-aged woman and a jittery hyperactive middle-aged man, and to top it off a teen who stood behind the two at almost twice the height with a blank face watching every single person that walked into the corner shop.
Right as his Mom finished with a customer Leon snapped his head towards an alarm clock that was going off on top of the register as his mother excitedly finished with the customer she was serving.
"Ok! Time for lunch! Let us go family!"
Leon watched his mom rush out the shop doors, quickly flipping a sign on the front from 'OPEN' to 'CLOSED'. Any customers left in the shop were left confused as one of the only employees ran out the door, Leon's dad ran after his wife as Leon slowly followed, "We'll be open again in about an hour, please make your way to the exit as it would be greatly appreciated."
The patrons left in the store funneled out and Leon took a key from his pocket locking the shop with it and heading to the restraunt he knew his parents would be at.
