Blood Relations: Witch War -- Previously in Battle of the Blood Worshippers

This story started late in August when my husband and I encountered a wrecked car with nobody inside.  Just a lot of blood.  In the coming weeks, several people were killed in the same manner.  They seemed to explode from the inside in a spray of blood and thicker things.  The method was not unheard of to me.  It was simply shocking to see it in the 21st century in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Some of my relatives were certainly capable of that level of crime, but I had not heard of it being done in over two thousand years.  Not since the fall of the Golden Age of Greek History.

My husband Eli - better known as Helios, the god of the sun - and I have been married for over six hundred years and we resided in the city of Norfolk, Virginia.  When Bill Townsend of the Virginia Criminal Investigations Department approached me with some facts about the mysterious deaths, I put him off at first, not wanting to get embroiled in a high-profile police investigation.  Also because I felt certain the murderer was my nephew, Phobos.  Yes, that Phobos.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

Convinced I needed to get involved by Eli and Bill, we started an investigation into the deaths with help from my half-brother Ares.  After several fits and starts, we discovered that Phobos was not, in fact, the murderer.  The murderer was Circe, Eli’s daughter and a witch from ancient times.

She slipped through our fingers more than once.

Meanwhile, Zeus, my father, announced that I was to be the heir to his kingdom - which is to say I was appointed the ruler over the Titans and Olympians who remained on Earth.

Who am I to receive such an honor?  I am Athena.
