It was a bright, sunny day in the eastern district of Raezem, Higashi, when Kezumi and Nitoro Stargard, embarked on another one of their adventures. Like any typical pair of siblings, they ventured on numerous escapades together, discovering every corner of their lively neighbourhood. From scaling trees to chasing fireflies beneath the moon's gentle glow, their days overflowed with laughter and exchanged secrets. However, their carefree lives were about to be disrupted by a devastating loss—the mysterious demise of both their parents.

Greeted with the ill-fated news upon their return home, Nitoro was overcome with grief, his anguished cries piercing the air upon hearing the devastating revelation. Meanwhile, Kezumi, still too young to fully comprehend the gravity of the situation, stood bewildered by the sudden shift in their lives. In an instant, the brothers found themselves orphaned, thrust from a life of comfort and love into one fraught with uncertainty.

At sixteen years old, Nitoro bore the heavy burden of responsibility following the untimely loss of their parents. Kezumi, much younger at six years old, looked up to his brother for guidance and support, relying on Nitoro to navigate the turbulent waters of their newfound reality. This however wouldn't last long, Nitoro soon fell into a coma and was admitted to a hospital. During his check-ups, the doctors failed to see anything wrong with him, the doctors however noticed strange changes to Nitoro’s blood, leading them to believe he had awakened a blood manifestation.

This information as standard protocol was not put out to the public but relayed in secret to the Higashi Blood Society. Nitoro was in a coma for a total of seven days before waking to the relief of Kezumi and the Maywaters.

Upon returning home he noticed an invitation inside the doctor's report that he received from the hospital. The invitation was composed of an explanation behind his sudden coma and an invitation to sign up for the Higashi Blood Society. trials in the fall.

Nitoro couldn't contain his excitement as he read the news, but he made a conscious effort to maintain a composed demeanour. Like countless other young adults, he harboured dreams of joining a Blood Society., an aspiration fuelled by his inherently kind nature. The idea of serving and protecting others resonated deeply with Nitoro, inspiring him to pursue this noble path.

Nitoro later shared the news with Kezumi and the Maywaters, although excited they understood this would mean Nitoro would leave the home as well as Kezumi, Kezumi cried upon hearing the news, he had never been away from Nitoro all his life, Nitoro was not just his brother but his safety. He however understood Nitoro’s dream and gave his blessing for Nitoro to leave.

As fall descended upon them, it was time for Nitoro to depart for the trials. He bid farewell to the Maywaters and Kezumi. Tears streamed down Kezumi's face as he watched his brother leave. To console his tearful sibling, Nitoro made a solemn promise to always carry a piece of Kezumi in his heart. As a tangible symbol of their bond, he bestowed upon Kezumi their father's ring, a cherished heirloom passed down to him. It was a gift that signified their shared connection and enduring love for each other.

Upon arriving for the Higashi Blood Society trials, Nitoro wasted no time showcasing his natural skill and aptitude. With determination and prowess, he navigated the trials successfully, earning his place as a member of the esteemed Higashi Blood Society. As he ascended through the ranks, excelling in both combat prowess and intellectual acumen, his responsibilities increased, leaving him with even less time to spend with Kezumi. Despite the growing demands of his duties, Kezumi remained unwaveringly supportive, understanding the significance of Nitoro's mission and the sacrifices it entailed.

After four years of dedicated service, Nitoro had not only achieved financial stability but had also risen to prominence within the Blood Society, becoming a central figure. However, feeling a profound longing to prioritize his relationship with his brother above all else, Nitoro made a bold decision. Despite facing considerable resistance from the higher-ups at the Society., he chose to resign from his position in order to be closer to Kezumi.

Deeply grateful for the love and care bestowed upon them by the Maywaters, Nitoro made the heartfelt decision to move Kezumi out of their care and into a home he had gotten for them. Before embarking on this new chapter of their lives, he ensured their gratitude was expressed, acknowledging the invaluable support they had provided over the years.

Kezumi once again found himself living with the Maywaters as Nitoro became increasingly occupied with his duties in the war. Acting as a commander for the United Blood Society forces against their adversaries, Nitoro displayed unwavering bravery and leadership amidst the chaos. His sacrifice played a pivotal role in guiding his comrades to victory.

Devastated yet resolute upon receiving news of his brother's death, Kezumi felt as though he had lost a part of himself. Despite the overwhelming grief, he made a solemn vow to never let go of the bond he shared with Nitoro.

Inheriting his brother's will and resolve, Kezumi pledged to fulfil Nitoro's dream of saving lives and continuing his noble quest for justice. With his heart heavy but his determination unyielding, Kezumi embarked on a journey to honour his brother's legacy and ensure that his sacrifice would never be forgotten.
