Now, you know things will go to shit when you are in your uber and you receive a messege from your uber saying that they are waitingoutside. With a small sigh i send them a message explaining that something happened and apologizing for the inconvinience this could have caused them, before putting my phone aside.
I pulled on my tongue piercing with my teeth, thinking.
Shoving my hand into my pocket I sat forward "Hello, what's your name?"I decided to strike conversation with my kidnapper. The man gave me a smile through the rear view mirror. He was blonde with a strong jawline, an average height and weight. Average and very human.
"My name is Adam. What's yours?"
I wrapped my hand around the pen in my pocket
"Nice to meet you, I'm Cheryl" I said fixing my white hair in the rear view mirror. I gave him a smile before jamming the pen, into my kidnapper's eye.
Well, attempted kidnapper anyway.
He to screamed out in pain his hands covering his eye loosing control of the car which strayed fromthe road and hit the side of the bridge we were trying to pass.
"Jesus" I groaned after making a movement to touch my head only to regret it at the pain that shot throught my body the second I did.
With a frown I stretched my neck to take a look at the blonde man that was unconcious in the driver's seat with blood running down his forheadand pouring out of his right eye. I was quick to unbuckle my seatbelt as I was thanking my mom for reminding me to buckle up.
Stumbling out of the car I made my way to look through the passengers seat window wanting to take my favourite pen out of his eye but that would seem kinda.... wrong. Was he even alive? I started clicking myfingers next to his ear waiting for a reaction. I put my lips in a straight line after receiving none.
I rubbed my chin "Well, that can't be good." I thought outloud "Will I go to jail? Fuck. I can't go to jail at eighteen"
I pushed my self off of the car stumbling a bitbefore catching my self . Ignoring theringing in my ears killing me very, very slowly which was acompanniedwith nausea and blurry vision. It didn't take a genius to realizethat I had a fucking concussion.
"Doublefuck" I mumbled as a stumbled once more but this time I did not manage to catch my self in time when the world started spinning and everything became blurry. That's when it became crystal clear that this wasn't just a concussion.
I fell on the pavement before I could complete my thought, slowly butsurely loosing my conciousness. But not before I saw a pair of shoes coming closer and closer.
The Guard.
Triple fuck.
Waking up is the worst task for me. It was soul sucking and honestly its not like there was anything better than sleep. Maybe eating and feeding but those I could go without. Sleep was much more important. And nothing could top the difficulty of waking up from a heavy slumber.Or that's what I thought anyway...
Turns out waking up after a car crash and being drugged by special warriors of the vampire community was even worse.
Not to mention that I was in a room I didn't recognize. It was very smallwith the only furniture being the mattress I was currently laying inand a heavy closet. Personally I wasn't a fan of closets, well, morespecifically I didn't like being in one.
Withoutcaring about the headache I jumped off the bed and made a start forthe window trying to find a way out. I cursed under my breath when Isaw the distance that separated me from the ground. I turned around facing the room I was in, pulling on my tongue piercing, as I tried to come up with a solution.
I knew two things for certain. First of, the people that took me have been through special training from the time they were children and some of them could be hundreds of years old. And unlike me, theyweren't half breeds, they were full vampires. Meaning that they had anatural advantage and to top it all off they were trained.

Secondly, they had no idea what I was like. They didn't know how I would act,if I would be scared or calm. At the same time they didn't know how much I knew or if I even knew anything. To them I could be an idiot who didn't see all the signs, like getting burned by a small cross when I was kid, I had a scar on the side of my arm to prove it.
A smile came to my face when i spotted the closet once more. My dearenemy was finally going to be of use.
It was getting noisier by the second outside of my gorgeous new room after I pulled the closet and blocked the door. Now, if my plan wentaccordingly they could play it either way, scare me into coming outor saying something trying to gain my trust. It really didn't matterto me as long as they wasted time.
"You know" came a voice outside of the door. The voice belonged to a male and it came out as tight showing the man's annoyance. A small smile came to my face involuntarily as I thought of way for him to not be so tight. ".. at some point you will have to come out"
"I'm ace!" I shouted back, coming out.
I heard a snicker from behind the door followed by a very grumpy voice.Revealing that there was more than one person.
"I'm gay!" Called back another guy while laughing.
"Congrats!"
"Thanks"
Maybe if that guy was the one to be the first to talk maybe I would reconsider. Another voice came, it was different that the other two, much more husky but no negative feelings were made clear. That was a nice voice to listen to while tying some sheets together to use toclimb out a three story window.
While the other man was trying to make me cooperate saying stuff like"starve" and "we don't want to hurt you" I was too busy climbing down my makeshift rope. I jumped on the groundand made a run for it trying to get as far away as possible.
A couple of hours or so from running later I reached my neighborhood.Sweaty and shirtless (I threw my shirt on the back of a truck and myjacket on a boys bike while trying to spread out my smell).
I smiled as I walked closer to the turn that would reveal my house andI would run to my mom and then play with mybrother without ever talking about my unfortunate meeting withthe Guard. Or, that's what I thought anyway.
A hand wrapped around my neck roughly pushing me on the wall causing the smile to dissapear from my face once and for all and the hopethat had started to rise up my chest to turn into something horrible and heavy in my stomach.
I let out a gasp at the impact as I struggled to pry the hand off of myneck. If I was a full human it would have certainly left an uglyscar. The person pulled me away from the wall before slamming me backagain. Now gasping to regain the air that was knocked out of lungsall i could do was weakly clutch onto their wrist.
Slowly I opened my eyes seeing the man move his lips with a smirk but I couldn't really comprehend anything that he was saying. Instead my eyes fell down in defeat believing that the Guard got me and therewas no running this time. That's when my eyes fell on the man's righth and which was around my neck.
Members of the guard have a symbol burned on the back of their hand yet theman had nothing. He wasn't a vampire, that much was obvious and he wasn't with the Guard and that did not guarantee that my family wouldn't be in trouble next.
The man came closer to my ear and whispered something as quietly as possible. I stopped struggling, looking at him as he moved his face away from mine, loosening his hold around my neck. He nodded before turning around to leave, that's when i grabbed a pole from my feet, stabbing the back of his skull and out of his eye
Yes,I had an eye fetish.
I pulled the pole out letting his body fall down as I breathed heavily. The smell of blood filled my nostrils in a pleasant way, I looked at the blood that had started to vaporize into thin air. I dumped the pole, wrapping my hands around my torso made my way to my house not carrying about the body behind me knowing that it would be taken care of.
"Mom" my voice came out strangled when I called out. Setting my keys on the counter of the small hallway I walked deeper inside the average sized house. I looked around the small living room and the kitchen but found no trace of neither my mom nor my brother.
"Mark?"
I tried once more but the reply was the same, nonexistent. I was starting to panic as I looked at the living room, Mark's toys where still on the ground. I run into both rooms only to find them empty. Everything was the same as I left, but this time it felt abandoned. I was only gone for around five hours and yet the fact that there wasn't any noise from the TV or mom talking with Mark about something made the place seem strange. Nothing like home.
"They are not here"
I was so consumed in my own thoughts that once a deep voice came from behind me I jumped around hitting the desk with my back. I gripped at the desk behind me as my eyes stayed glued to the tall man in front of me.
His voice fit him. He a strong looking person, tall and muscular. What his voice didn't exactly show was his brown hair that framed his eyes and reached the back of his neck and his dark brown eyes that followed my every movement.
He wasn't stupid, he wasn't going to let me escape him again.
I broke our eye contact for a split second to look at the door behind him and start towards it. But that's all it took for him, one second and he was standing in front me, blocking my path with his body. I managed to stop before I crushed into him.
"Don't try to run again." He moved his hand forward, in his arm was adark blue jacket- my jacket that I had thrown at that kids bike as he was riding away without him noticing.
"Who are you and what do you want? Did I do something wrong?"
The man shook his head "I can't answer your questions. Not here and not now "he motioned for me to take the jacket from him and I complied, putting it over my exposed body and zipping it, welcoming the warmth that it provided. We made our way to the door but once he wrapped his hand around the handle I spoke up,
"One question "
He gave me a look
"One and I won't try to run away ever again. I swear " I begged, biting my lip nervously while awaiting his reply. Finally he gave a small nod.
"Where is my mom and my brother. Are they safe?"
"Yes.We took them somewhere safe. You don't have to worry"
I hugged myself, nodding knowing that that's all the information I was going to get. Staying true to my word I followed him out of the house.
