The next day after the return of Cassie and her crew, Nathan,Leo and Amaros were assigned on a mission to Aciri. An Onisian gold mining town south of Purli. Leo was a boy of 15 years old. He had strawberry blonde hair with a comma fringe haircut and daffodil eyes. He was Nathan’s cousin with a short and slim body. He was a laid back person and very attentive.
Amaros was 14 years old. He was Uriel’s cousin. He had black eyes and dark hair with strands of gray hair like an aging person. He was an inch taller than Leo and slightly muscular than him. He was outspoken and playful, often making trouble.
And he was not a morning person. He was fast asleep when he was rudely awoken by a splash of water to the face.
“What time did we say we are leaving?” He heard a disembodied voice as he was getting up in confusion. He rubbed the water out of his eyes and blinked them open.
“Did you really have to do that?” He asked angrily.
“Yes I did, get dressed or we are leaving without you.” Nathan replied.
He went to take a quick shower and got dressed in his blue pants and a leather jacket. He gobbled down the food and went to the stables were Nathan and Leo were waiting for him. They left Yoshino on horseback.
Along the way Nathan filled Amaros on the details of the mission.
“There is a shipment of gold from Aciri to Masia. Our intel informed us that due to the recent attacks we have been launching against Onisians, they decided to clear the gold reserves and transport them to Masia, then to Memphis were the King of the Onisian empire rules from.
“We are going to steal that gold?” Amaros asked.
“I wouldn’t say steal, they are mining our lands so we are just taking what is ours.” Leo answered.
“How much gold are we talking?” Amaros asked.
“18 metric tonnes.” Nathan responded.
“That’s a lot of gold. The shipment must be heavily guarded.” Said Amaros.
“It is but we have the element of surprise.” Leo said.
From the rest of the journey from Yoshino to Hokane they told Amaros about the mission plan and strategy. From Hokane they travelled to Bearis through the wilderness for 4 days. Bearis was a rice farming small town. The town was surrounded by crocodile infested swamps and rice fields. They were the largest traders of rice, fish and crocodile meat and skin. There was only one bridge to Bearis. It was big enough for a small horse carriage. The bridge had sections that can be closed to trap intruders. The houses were built of brick and some of wood. The boys disguised themselves as Adonisians and they had no trouble getting in the town.
They went to the well to quench their thirst and there they met an usually friendly woman.
“Hello ma’am.” Nathan greeted the woman.
“Hey, How are you.” The woman replied.
“I’m well thank you.” Nathan responded.
“Do you know of a place we can lodge for the night?”
“I have room for both of you. You can come stay the night.” The woman offered.
The boys looked at each other not believing their luck.
“Yes ma’am we would love to stay the night at your house and we will pay you.” Nathan said.
“No I don’t want payment, I’m just helping you.” The woman replied.
“Thank you ma’am.” The boys said and the woman led them to her house.
They met the woman’s 2 sons. The oldest was 8 and the youngest was 6. They settled in as the woman was preparing food for them. And what seemed like an eternity later the woman came with rice cakes. The boys dug in the rice cakes and gobbled them down without chewing. They haven’t had food in 2 days. They ran out of supplies and there was nowhere they could buy something to eat. When they were done they passed them down with water.
“Thank you ma’am for the food.” Nathan said bowing before the woman.
Leo and Amaros too bowed.
“No, thank you. I should be the one thanking you for giving me an opportunity to be kind and generous to you.” The woman said
“You’re indeed the nicest person I have ever met.” Nathan said humbly.
“God bless you.”
“God bless you to my sons.” The woman replied.
“If you don’t mind me asking, where is the father of this children?” Asked Nathan.
“My husband passed away around this time last year, he was a miner at Aciri.” The woman said in a melancholic tone.
“I’m sorry to hear that.” Nathan responded.
“Our condolences.” The boys said.
“What happened?” Nathan asked.
“The circumstances surrounding his death are not clear. It’s still a mystery to us because the mine officials said he died because the mine caved in but then again no one could explain the burnt marks on his back.” The woman said.
“People say it’s a sacrificial mark of dark magic.” She added.
“Many have died in that mine, all bearing the same mark.”
‘Sacrificial murders? Dark magic?’ The boys were perplexed.
“How do you take care of the kids? Did he leave you with anything?” Nathan asked.
“He left some coins but they covered for his burial.”
“Now I work at rice fields, it’s not paying much but at least we don’t always go to bed with empty stomachs.”
“You barely have enough for yourself and your children, yet you share with us the little you have.” Leo said in an anguished voice.
“Yes and I would do it again.”
“We have suffered so much and no one was kind to us to help.”
“I know what it’s like to want help and not get it so I decided to show you kindness by giving you a free place to stay and share the little we have with you.”
“You’re very nice and kind. We have three war horses. You can sell them and buy the rice field you work at and the rest of the money you can save it for your children.” Nathan said.
“No I didn’t help you so that you can pay me back. The creator will reward me.” The woman objected.
“Maybe we were led here to you.” Leo said
“Accept our gift to you.
“I appreciate the gift, it will go a long way helping us.” The woman britled, tears running down her cheeks.
“We are going to Aciri. We will look into the murders and investigate.”
“We will bring you word when we return.” Leo said.
“Be careful my sons, many went to Aciri and many did not return.” She said sorrowfully.
“Before you buy the rice field think about going with us to our lands. There is room for you and your sons and there is a magic school that they can attend. You can have a fresh start.” Said Leo.
“I will sleep on it.” The woman replied.
“I will send you a raven in 14 days.” Leo said.
The boys went to sleep and early in the morning they set out for Aciri.
“Way kup, way kup ful!” A raven yelled at Amaros’s ear. He dragged his body out of bed. A meal was already served when he finished bathing. They said emotional goodbyes to the widow and her two sons and set out for Aciri, not knowing what lied ahead of them.
Before noon they arrived at the gold mining town. It was 5 times bigger than Bearis. The city had an inner walled section were the high officials lived. There were also gold storages, temples and a citadel within the inner wall. Outside the wall were mostly houses of mine workers spanning all around the wall. For the past two years, miners have been dying mysteriously. All bearing burnt markings on their bodies. Rumor has it that the markings are ancient sacrificial magic but the mine officials seem to be covering that up. They say the deaths were accidental and they never explained why the accidents happened to those with burnt marks. The boys wanted to find out who was behind this and stop them from killing more innocent people.
“I was thinking of getting a job at the mine while we are waiting for the shipment.” Said Nathan.
“I think the best way to catch this killer is right at the mine.”
“Yes and you won’t struggle to get the job because of your physique.” Leo responded.
“I believe so too. Any way send your ravens to watch the inner wall gate and the storages. Ravens by day and barn owls by night. We should not let the murder mystery make us forget about our real mission.” Nathan said.
“Okay and I will send some to watch over you.” Leo said.
The boys lodged at Douglas Inn and Nathan went to the mine, west of the town. Leo rested on his bed and closed his eyes. His mind took him to a raven in the sky above Nathan. It followed him as he made his way to the mine. Nathan was surprised by how big the mine stretched. There were as many people as Nathan had seen his entire life.
He saw a man eating lunch and approached him.
“hey man, I’m trying to find a job, who can I see to help me out.” Nathan asked.
“I’m busy here boy.” The man replied gruffly.
“Hey stupid old man, help this lad out. He wants to see Motis.” He yelled.
The old man heed the command and quickly led Nathan to the office.
The old man looked like he barely had strength to lift the shovel let alone walk him to the office.
“Where do you come from?” The old man asked.
“I come from Buram.” Nathan replied.
“What brings you here to Aciri?” The old man inquired.
“My father passed away so I had to come look for a job to care for my mother and siblings.” Nathan responded.
“I’m sorry to hear that.” The old man said.
“Your father raised a good boy, he would be proud of you.”
“I don’t have a child but if I had one I would’ve loved him to be like you.”
“Thank you sir.” Nathan responded.
“This place is not how it is used to be.” The old man said in a mournful voice.
“You mean the deaths?” Nathan asked.
“Yes that. And nowadays it’s mostly the new workers who are found dead. Be careful and make sure you never wander off alone.” The old man warned.
“When did the killings start?” Nathan asked.
“About two and half years ago. About 213 have died and 74 are missing, presumed dead.” The old man said.
“Who do you think it could be?” Nathan inquired.
Before he could answer they were interrupted by a guard.
“What is it old man? “ the guard asked.
“This young man is looking for a job.”
“Wade!” The guard shouted.
“Take this boy to the office.”
The guard took Nathan to the office and the old man returned back.
The two walked to the office further along the paved road.
Inside the office there were two officials wearing fine linen and silk clothes who were all impressed by the size of Nathan. Even the guard was smaller than him.
“This guy is looking for a job.” Wade said.
“You’re looking for work young man?” One of the officials asked.
“Yes I want the job to be the mine overseer.” Nathan said jokingly.
The men roared with laughter including the guard too.
“You what?” The official asked.
“I want to be the overseer.” Nathan repeated.
They burst into laughter again.
“How do you plan on getting that job? The official asked.
“Do you know that there are three levels above me to get to the overseer position and I’m most likely never going to be one.”
There is the high official position, the deputy overseer then the overseer and the overseer was appointed two and a half years ago so he will hold that position until he ages.”
“Yea I was just messing with you, I want any job available.” Said Nathan.
”Okay you’re hired. I want strong people like you in the mine. I haven’t seen anyone bigger than you in a long time.”
“My name is Motis.” He said
“I’m Mason.” Nathan said.
“Follow me, you’re going to start at the black pit.” Motis said with a smirk.
It was customary for new mine workers to start at the black pit, the most harshest part of the mine.
“After you’re done at the pit you will be officially hired.”
He took him to Cornelius who led him to the pit, a shaft, one kilometer below the ground. He worked the whole afternoon and Cornelius reported back to Motis about how easy Nathan made it look. He then went to sign the the contract.
“How was the black pit?” Motis asked.
“It was a nice warm up, the shift ended before I even broke a sweat.” Nathan mocked.
Okay starting from tomorrow I will be in charge of you. I could really use someone strong and determined as you.” Said Motis.
“And if you work as hard as today you will soon be recognized and promoted.
Nathan signed the papers and went back to town with the other miners. He was hoping to see the old man but he did not. He got to the lodge and creaked the door open. The boys were excited to see him.
“How was your first day?” Amaros asked.
“It was okay, not as hard as I thought it would be.” Nathan replied.
“Did you find any lead?” Leo asked.
“I got some information without raising suspicion. My gut instinct was telling me that a high ranked official was behind this. So I jokingly said I want an overseer job and then Motis, my supervisor told me the mine position ranks. There are three positions above him and the top overseer was appointed the month the murders started. So I think he is a person of interest. We have to find more about him and watch his every move.” Nathan said.
The next three days Leo watched the inner gate and the storages with ravens and barn owls at night. On Monday the following week Nathan went to deliver a daily report and when he walked in the office he saw a few men inside he had never seen before. All dressed in fine linen and silk.
‘Could one of them be my suspect?’ He thought as he was walking in.
He could sense an aura of sinister magical power but couldn’t tell who exactly it came from.
“Just the guy I was looking for.” Motis said upon seeing Nathan
“This is the guy I told you about.” He said and the whole room stared at Nathan.
Motis told them about how insanely strong he was and how much gold they dug up since he was hired.
“This is the overseer, Iris, the man who’s position you aspire to have.”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Nathan let out his hand to shake Iris.
When their hands touched Nathan felt the evil power in him and he quickly let go.
‘There is no mistaking it, the evil power I felt from earlier comes from this man.
“Nice to meet you sir.” Nathan said in a hushed tone.
He was wondering if he was the only one feeling this evil presence. Iris had a stern look on his face and black evil eyes piercing through Nathan.
He handed Motis the papers and left. Outside he alerted a raven to watch a man fitting the description of Iris and the ravens followed him wherever he went. In the afternoon Iris went back to the town. He got through the inner gate and went to his castle. The ravens were still watching him. And inside the castle Leo used lizards to spy on him. There were many golden lamp stands and different colored candles burning brightly. It looked more like a shrine than a house.
“What is it that this man is a part of?” Spooked Leo asked himself.
Iris poured wine and gulped it down, then went to the corner of the room where there were red candles. He went on his knees and prayed. The candles burned bigger and brighter and when he stopped praying they returned back to normal flames. All the while a lizard was watching from the top of the ceiling.
He went to freshen up and later his servant served him a meal. The sun set as he was dining and when he was done he put on a black cloak and left his chambers using the back door like he did not want to be seen. He walked swiftly in the bad lit streets, not wanting to be noticed but the barn owls did. They followed him to the west of the wall where he pressed a brick with his finger and uttered words. He then put his palm on the brick and a doorway formed. He went through and appeared outside the wall. The door turned back into bricks behind him. There was a horse mounted to a tree, he untied it and rode it to the mine. Nathan had just arrived when Iris rode to the mine. Leo told him and he raced back to the mine too. A raven led him to the entrance of the shaft that Iris used and he scoured it looking for him but to no avail. As he was giving up he bumped into the old man. He was delighted to see him again and the old man was too.
“I see you got hired.” Old man said.
“I’m happy for you.”
“Yes I did all thanks to you.” Nathan responded.
“Let’s go have some tea and fill me in about how your first week was like.” Old man insisted.
Nathan went with the old man and he told him about everything over tea and biscuits.
The old man was glad that Nathan was happy and adapted well to the demanding work of the mine.
“I have been working night shifts since that day I saw you.”
“This people don’t really like me. I was supposed to be working day shifts but since I don’t have a wife or a family to go home to, they make me work night shifts all the time.” The old man said in a bitter voice.
“You should come visit me sometimes. I stay just near the inner gate.” Old man added.
“Where exactly.” Nathan asked.
“Next to a swordsmith shop, ask them where old man Lazaris stays and they will show you.” Old man Lazaris said
“Okay I will pay you a visit tomorrow, I have an off day.” Said Nathan.
Alright let me get back to work. And please be careful son. There are things hiding in the cover of darkness waiting to strike. Even someone as big as you is nothing compared to them.” Laziris warned.
“I will sir and last you were about to tell me who you think is behind the killings.” Said Nathan.
“Oh was I? I’m an old man my memory is not sharp as it used to be.”
Lazaris replied.
“I will see you tomorrow maybe I would have remembered.”
“Okay sir goodbye.” Nathan said as he was making his way to the exit of the shaft.
He got back to town and went to sleep disappointed for not finding Iris. Early h the next morning he was woken up by Leo.
“Nate , Nate, wake up wake up.” Leo shouted.
“What is it Leo?” Nathan replied as he was rubbing his sleepy eyes.
“Lady Mavis says there is a body found at the mine this morning.”
The drowsiness evaporated from his eyes and he jumped on his feet.
“I’m now certain it’s him, it’s Iris. This killings started when he was appointed and last night he went back to the mine through a secret gate, disguising himself.” Nathan said intensely.
“Yeah it gotta be him.” Leo said.
“It has to be him.”
“What are we going to do?” He asked.
“I saw rats and cats inside the mine.” Said Nathan.
“If you can see through them then maybe we can pin point his location inside the shafts.”
“Yes about that, there was something interrupting with my magic at the mine last night.” Leo responded.
“What do you think could be the cause?” Nathan asked.
“Do you think he is on to us?”
“No I think he was just playing it safe so that he won’t get caught.” Leo replied.
“He must be powerful to cast such large scale spells.” Said Nathan.
“Yes and its possible the spell was powered by the crescent moon.” Leo said.
Amaros knocked and let himself in.
“What are you two conspiring about this early in the morning?” Amaros said in a sleepy voice.
“Close the door.” Leo shouted.
“What happened?” Leo said, shutting the door.
“He has struck again.” Answered Leo.
“Who? Iris?” Amaros said in panick.
“Yes a body was found at he mine this morning.” Leo said in a bitter voice.
“This dark magic thing is really creeping me out.” Amaros said.
“We have to stop him from killing more innocent people.”
“One of these days he will pay.” Nathan said fiercely knuckling his hands.
The boys had breakfast of bread and fish on the roof of the lodge watching the view of the city in the beautiful morning sky. When the day was hot, Nathan went to Old man Lazaris. He asked around at the swordsmith shop and they directed him to his house.
“Who is it?” Lazaris asked after hearing a loud bang from the door.
“It’s me, Nathan.”
“Okay come in son. You came at the right time.” Lazaris said.
“Help me roast meat as I bake bread.
Lazaris lived alone and has been alone almost all his life. He was a bastard son and his father rejected him. His mother abandoned him when she found a suitor. She lied to her suitor that she did not have a child and went with the man to Onis leaving Lazaris behind to fend for himself. He was four years old at the time and had to live in the streets fighting for food with dogs. Old man Lazaris is not really old. He was 11 years when the war broke out. He looks 80 but he is only 51. The stress and depression he suffered made him look older than he really was.
He moved to Bearis 35 years ago and worked at the rice fields. 6 years later when the mine opened he was one of the first to work there and has been there ever since.
“Here, you can sit on this chair, it’s the only chair since I never have visitors.” Lazaris said.
“No sir you can use it, I can’t sit while you’re standing.” Nathan replied humbly.
“Okay thank you, take that goat leg and marinate it.” Lazaris asked.
They ate their fill and cracked jokes the whole afternoon until it was time for Lazaris to ready himself for the night shift.
All his adult life he wished to have a son but all the trauma he suffered kept him from making relationships. He felt that the people who brought him in this world decided to not want anything to do with him so he never has been with a woman in his miserable life. But something about Nathan made him wish he had a son of his own. He had never been this happy in his life.
Nathan went back to the lodge and Lazaris went to the mine. For the next 4 days Iris was not sneaking out at night. And for some reason the shipment was delayed which was good news for the boys as it meant they will have more time to catch Iris. On the sixth day since the man was found dead at the mine, Leo’s barn owls spotted Iris leaving his castle at night using the same back door. Leo quickly alerted Nathan and he quickly raced to meet him at the mine. Iris tied his horse behind the office and went inside the mine shaft. A cat followed him from a distance. A fire fly flew close by watching Iris too. Nathan arrived and another fire fly led him towards Iris through the maze of tunnels.
After a short while Nathan caught a scent of blood from one end of another tunnel but the fire fly was going towards another tunnel. Acting out of instinct he went to the tunnel where the scent of blood was wafting from.
Moments earlier a man sneaked behind 2 mine workers and hit them both with his palms. The men screamed in agony to the top of their lungs but no sound came of their mouths. They couldn’t move as marks were burnt on their skin. When he released his palms from them they fell prostrate on the ground.
They were still alive but could not move. The man took out a knife and slid the throat of one miner and when he was preparing to slit the last man’s throat Nathan appeared in the tunnel. The man was caught off guard and jumped back in panick.
“Old man Lazaris?” Nathan muttered in shock.
‘This can not be true.’ He thought as he was pinching himself.
‘How could it be?’
Nathan was lost for words and recalled seeing Lazaris at the mine the night a man was found dead. He even have a cup of tea with him
“Why are you doing this Lazaris.” Nathan asked in horror.
“Why? You wanna know why?” Said Lazaris.
“I was forced to live like a street dog all my life.” Lazaris said.
“Everyone shitting on me.”
“Do you know what I went through because of human beings?”
“The horrors I faced from both high borns and low borns while I was living in the streets as young boy?”
“Even your wildest imagination would not come remotely close to the things I suffered.”
“You wouldn’t understand because you had your family growing up.”
“I was alone, a four year old fending for himself in the streets.”
“People made me a killer.”
“Serial killers are not born, they are made.”
“Everyone despised me, I never had a friend, and no family. What do I know of human bonds?”
“I have no regard for human life.”
“Except for yours.”
“It’s sad that of all the people you are the one who saw my secret.”
“And now I have to kill you.”
The old man lunged at Nathan swiftly like he had been pretending to be old.
‘Is this the same man I met days ago barely able to lift a shovel?’ Nathan thought as Lazaris inched closer. He deftly moved his upper body to the right and Lazaris flew past him. He turned towards the old man who just landed on his feet.
“I want you to turn yourself in.” Nathan said.
“I don’t want to fight you, especially in a tunnel.”
As he was talking he caught an aura of someone. Lazaris did too. There was no mistaking that sinister aura, it was Iris. Lazaris hurled a knife at Nathan aiming for his head and he caught it. When he glared at the old man he was gone. And there was Iris, his eyes intensely fixed on Nathan.
“It’s not what it looks like.” Nathan said throwing away the blood soaked knife.
“I have been looking for you.” Iris said.
“I missed you six days ago and today I have caught you.”
“I was appointed 2 and half years ago to uncover the mystery behind the 74 missing miners.”
“And just after I was appointed, you stopped burrying the bodies.”
“You left them in the open for everyone to see.”
“People did not connect the missing miners and the sacrificial victims so they suspected me.”
“It was your plan all along to make it seem like I was the one behind the killings.”
“Answer me you bastard.” Iris shouted.
He reached for his pocket and took out a dagger. He pointed it towards the direction of Nathan. When he pressed the hilt, a blade was released like a bullet and struck lazaris who was on the right side of Nathan. Blood gushed out of his body as his invisibility spell wore off. Nathan was flabbergasted. He did not see Lazaris in front of him all this time so he thought iris was accusing him of the murders. But in fact Iris was talking to Lazaris.
”I figured you use invisibility spells, that is why you have eluded me for so long. So I have been enhancing my visual prowess to see things hidden.” Iris said.
“Once I mastered the spells I knew it was only a matter of time until I catch you.”
“I came to the mine six days ago because I knew you were going to kill.”
“Dates are very important in this type of sacrificial rituals.”
“Each month has its own dates and for the past 2 years you have been following a pattern dates. So I knew you were going to kill again today.”
“Thanks to Motis’s new employee he delayed you long enough for me to catch you.”
“You are going to pay old man, for the people you have killed.”
“Ey young man, take that miner to the medical center. I believe the other one is dead. Take him too so his family can bury him.” Iris asked Nathan.
Iris and Lazaris were left alone in the tunnel as Nathan took the men to the medical center.
Lazaris ripped off his blood stained shirt and threw it away.
“Do you wanna do this here?” Iris asked.
“I’m a serial killer, I don’t mind caving more people.” Lazaris replied with a dead voice.
Without wasting time Iris lunged at Lazaris. He defensively conjured yellow flames towards the roof of the shaft and it caved in on Iris. However he managed to pass swiftly through the falling rocks and earth and he was met by a bright blazing flame. Lazaris caved the shaft on Iris so that he can surprise him with this attack. However Iris had a surprise of his own. He pointed the blade less hilt towards the flames and out of the hilt came a hollow blade. It vacuumed the flames and licked them up. Flabbergasted Iris leapt back as Iris closed the distance. The hollow blade went back inside the hilt and out came a one meter sword growing larger as he was brandishing it. The flames that the hollow blade licked up earlier ignited the sword blade and a fierce flame covered it whole as it cut through the air towards the neck of Lazaris. He deftly yanked his head and the blade barely missed his neck but the flames did not. They charred his ghost white hair and gray stubbles, even his eyebrows. The sword blade went back inside the hilt and a dagger from earlier emerged. He pointed it towards stunned Lazaris and it exploded from the hilt like a canon ball. Out of desperation Lazaris conjured flames in both his hands and projected himself backwards and he blade scratched him.
“You can not back away forever old man.” Iris said.
“I am going to kill you.”
“No you won’t kill me, no one can.” Lazaris boasted.
Iris lunged at him in frustration and the one meter sword came out of the hilt to play. He channeled his magic on his speed and lightning sparks formed around his body. Lazaris conjured yet another flame and scorched himself on the chest just as Iris cut his neck clean off his head. He dropped dead to the ground and his blood splattered the tunnel. Iris squatted down and wiped off the blood stained sword with Lazaris’s clothes and saw the burnt marks on his chest. A symbol of a rectangle interlaced to a triangle. The very same symbol found in all the other victims.
“So he sacrificed himself too?” Iris thought.
“That’s why he said I can’t kill him.”
“If he sacrificed himself that means the people he sacrificed were not for his benefit.”
“What is this old man involved in?”
“What is their organization and what is their agenda that the old man found it worthy to even offer his life for their cause.”
He had a lot of questions but the only person who had the answers was dead infront of him.
One other thing that he could not figure out was the magical power he felt earlier.
‘Could it have come from that kid when he was spooked by the old man?” He thought.
‘Who is here and how did he find the old man after just two weeks while I have spent 2 and a half years searching for him.’
‘Anyway my job in this mine is done. Tomorrow I’m resigning and going back to Memphis.’
He padded outside the shaft and found miners gathered . Nathan told them about what transpired inside the mine as he evacuated them and when they saw Iris walking out they erupted into ecstatic applauses and wild shouts. They were exhilarated that the nightmare was finally over. When the body of Lazaris was taken out of the mine, they were all in disbelief that the frail old man would be capable of this.
When news reached Aciri and the nearby towns about the death of Lazaris they were all elated and relieved that they made big celebrations for the next two days.
The boys however did not have time to celebrate as shipment of gold was to be transported on the second day after the death of Lazaris
